Awesome weekend for our animal rescue
We adopted out 10 dogs and 3 cats. One of the dogs that found a home has been with us for about six months but this was the first time we could take her to an adoptathon.

She was abandoned at one of our homes and was heartworm positive, blind in one eye and had an infection in the other eye that neccesitate the removal of the eye. It took many months to get her back in good health.

This weekend was the first time I got to see her. What a great little dog. Three years old and a corgi mix, she had a perpetual smile on her face and her tail was always in motion. I got to be her human for about an hour and I fell in love with her. She was adopted by a wonderful family that we are sure will give her the love she deserves. All members of the family were there and they all bonded with her immediately.

We also found homes for another special needs dog that has muscular problems with his back legs. He gets around but had to hop like a bunny. He's incredibly sweet but so many people are put off by dogs that aren't perfect. If you looked past his funny gait, he truly was perfect.

It was a good weekend...

4. That's really great.
This is Dewey, my little foster dog. I have had him since Memorial Day. I take him to the rescue group's adoption every Saturday at Petsmart. He is absolutely adorable, but he is 11 years old and no one wants an older dog.

7. We had one years ago. She was a little devil. She could climb like
a cat and was constantly causing trouble, but was so cute, who could yell at her. She was a great dog.
