Just as they should be. Jesse is getting big. Is he still misbehaving, urinarily speaking?

he's getting huge! took him to the vet yesterday and he's 5 pounds 9 ounces at 4 months.

nikko was just 6 pounds at 6 months! i think he's going to be a big fella.

about the peeing, i haven't let either sleep with me for about a month. but during that time, i'd let them come in my room during the day if i was in there to monitor (mainly because it's carpeted in there, and they like scratching it with their claws)...

well, a couple days ago, i was getting ready to go to the dentist, looking in the mirror combing my hair or whatever, and i see jesse behind me on my bed. as soon as i'd gotten over there, he'd started peeing in it again!

so needless to say, he's no longer allowed in my room, period. (though he's figured out how to jump from the steps over the balcony to get in there, so i'm currently thinking of ways to further rig my place for him... it's been a nightmare so far...

thanks for the concern though!

4. my vet seemed to think
it was behavioral from what i told her... said she thought there was no reason to test him...

also said highly unlikely he's diabetic... otherwise, he wouldn't be peeing in the same exact locations, ie, my bathroom sink and bed.

5. Yep, 4 or 5 months old................NOT a diabetic! BUT the only way to
be sure about a UTI is to TEST. I myself have been fooled. Some cats you would swear on a stack of bibles that it HAS to be behavioral, and then you find a whopping infection. Please get a UA.

7. probably a good idea
to be safe... i wish i'd done that while i was at the vet...

you know, come to think of it, sometimes he does meow oddly just before he uses the bathroom - but certainly not something that indicates (to me) pain... otherwise i would have already had it checked asap.

12. UTIs can be dangerous in male cats because of the
propensity for urinary tract obstruction, which can be fatal. I have found the majority of my patients' urinary problems to be diet-related. Be sure you are NOT feeding anything with fish in it, and be careful to only feed a high-quality dry food (I can PM you with more specific info if you wish).

Yeah, to answer your question, they are spoiled. :)

But it looks like you enjoy giving them the good life!

:toast:

Cher

p.s. that last one really made me laugh.

9. By human standards yes. Now if cats can feel they are actually spoiled
and not very deserving of what you give them and even more, is another question.

10. Gosh Jesse got BIG quick!
look at those paws -- ay caramba!

My Flummster has big mitts too, I think he is going to be a big cat, possibly bigger than the dainty Daemon, but not as huge as Mr. S.

And yes, as with kids, when their toys overtake your living space, they are spoiled.

13. They are simply well-cared for. I don't want to show you the pics of my
cats' room. YES, they have an entire room all for themselves. So what!? They have to have someplace to go to get away from the dog, don't they?

15. Do you have a place to sleep? Do you have any food? Do you..
have a nice wardrobe of clothing decked with cat fur?

If you answer yes to any of these questions, your cat are not spoiled.

The first rule of catdom is "everything belongs to the cat."

17. I told you Jesse was going to be a big cat!
I can always tell by the paws. I hope you find the source of your problem with Jesse.

As to being spoiled, well they are just loved, that's all.

21. Hey, my guys have the same toys, PLUS
A cat tree

A Panic Mouse

A scratching post and three incline scratchers

A peek-a-prize

Various fishing pole type toys, plus pompoms, fake mice, catnip, etc.

2 beds and a cat basket

3 "boogy mats"

A play tunnel

and loads of treats!

Granted, they have to share with the foster kittens that come and go, but they're pretty darned spoiled!
