Animal Advocate Wrongly Implicated Jim Willis - www.crean.com/jimwillis
Animal advocate and author, Jim Willis, was involved in an animal seizure on a property in Elizabeth Pennsylvania last Thursday that involved an alleged animal hoarder and 74 animals. After Jim had an altercation with an animal officer, Jim was removed from the property by local police. Jim then called the media and a Pittsburgh television station sent a reporter to interview Jim and a local humane officer. Most of Jim's comments were edited out before the broadcast. Other local media picked up the story and extrapolated on it with numerous inaccuracies.
In the week prior to the seizure, Jim in cooperation with humane officers, agencies, shelters, volunteers, and friends was successful in removing thirty animals. Jim adopted a blind pit bull puppy with health issues.
Jim has been instructed by legal council to not yet issue a public statement regarding his involvement. However he is concerned about the damage done to his reputation by inaccurate reports in the rumor mill.
He and his rescued animals are staying with friends for the time being and he welcomes the opportunity to testify in court about this
