1. Thanks!
I haven't been able to sleep good ever since seeing all those abandoned pets, especially in NO where I doubt anyone will rescue them. Your pictures made me feel better. Those are cuties!

2. Those are my foster babies:-)
One, Skeeter, got adopted yesterday by a nice couple. Bijou, the littlest, who needed extra care, is going to be adopted by the vet tech who works at the shelter. She fell in love with her when I brought them this weekend, and will take her home in two weeks.

:loveya:

So, two kitties with good homes, and three to go! I should have more pics of them tomorrow. I would have them today, but I misplaced the cable for my digital camera.

3. Black Kitty Attack!!!
From those pictures, some of them look like longhairs. Is that correct? I can just imagine how Matagot, the black Angora who arrived full-grown in a storm twenty-seven years ago, must have looked as a kitten.

It's good that you're being careful about who adopts them. Sadly, many shelters won't adopt out black cats in the month or two before Halloween, since some people want them for, shall we say, inhumane purposes around that time. It's a wise idea to make sure about their new homes!

4. Yes, 2 are long hairs, two are short, and one is kind of in between!
The couple who adopted Skeeter was in their 40s, very middle class, and had a black kitty for 20 years who had recently passed away. They just had their heart set on another black kitty. They brought pictures to show us too. The owner of the shelter is pretty good at interviewing people without them knowing they are the ones being screened!LOL!

7. It's a no-kill shelter in Galveston County.
They just expanded to a larger building, which was a house on the old main street, and they are renovating it. When it is all done, it will be a really great place!
