So was I being too sensitive?
Yesterday on ARR, Al and Katherine did a segment about the "horserace" in the political elections in Iraq. It was not Franken's best to begin with (he meeds to work on his Iraqi accent for one), but then Katherine asked who was their Howard Dean and the answer was, Well Iraqis are all pretty ANGRY, and insinuated Dean was against any gun regulations.

Well, I fumed for an hour and sent an email telling them I thought their skit stunk, and asked whose talking points they were using about Dean - the DLC's or the RNC's. LOL
Then I said satire is not an excuse to misrepresent a person's character. Signed as sadly disappointed in KY! LOL

Al Franken gets on my last nerve when he beams about Kerry, and he is obviously helping to derail Dean. GRRR!

1. I listen to Thom Hartmann, streaming.
I quit listening to Franken a while ago. He just is not clued in to the latest stuff, and it annoys me. Hartmann is soft-spoken, but he does not avoid tough issues.

2. Franken's probably been living on the Upper West Side too long
or something like that.

Entrenched liberal with too much money.

3. I didn't have a problem with it, since it is comedy, and we have to be
able to take it as well as dish it out.

But I agree — his Middle Eastern accent sounds like his East Indian, "Outsourced Al" accent.
