"Howard Dean, 2004 presidential hopeful and now a front-runner to head the Democratic Party, will speak in Vancouver on Tuesday, April 12.
Dean's appearance at Skyview High School, 1300 N.W. 139th St., is tentatively scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
Dean is bidding to become chairman of the Democratic National Committee. But, the outcome of the Feb. 12 committee meeting in Washington D.C., will not affect Dean's message here, said Carolyn Long, an associate professor at WSU Vancouver.
WSU Vancouver hopes to use Dean's appearance as part of a wider look at civic participation."
