Might be good to post this in the Texas forum as well.

Tom's in Trouble. We all know that. Yet tonight, big donors, Beltway insiders, and Republican leaders will pay tribute to Tom Delay at the Hilton Capitol in Washington, DC. Isn't it hard to fathom anyone who would come out in support of such an unethical monster, let alone make a tribute to him? It sure seems that Delay rarely attends events. Dishonorable Delay likes to 'honored.' Doesn't it seem odd that a Congressman only shows up to events when he's the center of attention?
Well, here in Texas, the people do things differently. We like to be the center of attention. We won't just forget Delay's antics. We Texans will stand together to show America that Tom Delay's unscrupulous brand of politics doesn't sit well with the people of his district.
Democracy for America, Democracy for Texas, and Democracy for Houston are putting the focus back on the people of U.S. Congressional District 22. On Saturday, May 14th, we're hosting a Saving America without Delay Fun Family Festival. You won't need $1,000 to buy a plate of food and entertainment at our event. No siree! Our food is free, and everyone gets a seat at the table.
Confirmed speakers include: Chris Bell, former U.S. Representative; Richard Morrison, former Democratic candidate for Congressional District 22; and Ivan Espinoza, a youth leader and founder of HDGE (Help Democrats Get Elected). Other highlights include a grassroots activist training tent, 15 progressive organizations' booths, a We have the Power pi, Sack Delay sack races, a Send Delay to the Moon-walk, Pin the Tale on the Elephant, Toss the Bum out of Congress bean bag toss, contests (limericks, posters, songs, and a Tom Delay look-a-like contest), and other fun activities for the whole family.
