I've heard acupuncture has produced some positive results but I recently heard that reiki has generated some positive results. Any knowledge would be appreciated. Thanks! :-)

1. sorry i cant answer your question lindsey |

though i do believe in energy work such as reiki or polarity etc but it can really shine when given time and the support of being a piece of the treatment
in my opinion it takes the body and mind to be prepared to accept this kind of treatment to work best ~ and of course have a good practitioner the energy work should be part of an overall healthy plan to battle any affliction
i would definitely recommend it and when used as part of the plan i think it has a real chance of helping

A friend at work told me it really helped her daughter. I'm just wondering if anyone out there has heard anything specific on this.

3. haven't heard anything specific but I agree |

with faithnotgreed that it would probably be helpful as part of the treatment. I don't see any harm in adding it as an adjunct, but I certainly wouldn't try it as the only thing.
Any gentle healing energy would be of benefit IMO.

I would at least try it out and see if it'll do anything to help you and if you see any effects in a positve way to keep using it. :) I would try it at a time where you're most relaxed either at night or in the bath tub or something like that. That's what I usually do because people don't bother me and stuff.

can be used alone or in conjunction with any other modality. Reiki is like any other energy treatment in that (in my experience) it works best when the client is ready and willing to accept the energy. It isn't as if one must believe in reiki but more that one is willing to be healed.
There are no absolutes. I have found that the energy adjusts itself to the individual. Reiki also works with the life pattern of the client. If there are other "lessons" to be learned the energy will support the client. If the client is ready the energy will do exactly what is needed for that specific client.
Once the body has begun detox the work on the mental emotional bodies is ready to begin. There are specific "techniques" that are used to clear old energy and old patterns.
Reiki is a supportive, loving energy that will only enhance healing. The outcome is different with everyone. I would highly recommend it.
