A Psychics Predictions

A friend of mine had a reading with psychic Mary Bogart and was incredibly impressed with her accuracy. She directed me to her website, www.marybogart.com and while there I ran across her predictions. I found them interesting and thought I'd share:

Mary has recently received a flood of predictions regarding national and international issues:

There will be five (5) more hurricanes in 2005 after Dennis. The worst of all the hurricanes will be Irene. South Florida and Louisiana will be devastated. Jacksonville, Florida will have some damage as well. Louisiana will be hit in a way it has never seen in recent history.

There will be a 5.8 earthquake on the New Madrid Fault Line in December of 2005. This will cause the Mississippi River to flow in the reverse.

The Yosemite National Park will experience an eruption of the volcano within the next year.

Both Atlantis and Lemuria will be completely visible within 7.3 years (2012).

The Gulf War will rage for 14 more years (2019). After that, the people will demand a change in their leadership, which will cause the fall of the U.S. Presidency. We will move to a Greek Senate-type of leadership with no one man having the ultimate seat of power

The man elected president after George W. Bush will die in office.
President Bush is currently secretly pushing thru Congress a bill to begin a draft. The men will be drafted by the end of 2005; the women will be drafted within 14 months of the men.

There will be one more terrorist attack in the U.S. It will take place several weeks after September 11, 2005.

A large building in Denver will come down.

2. I can't see all those things happening

but some are plausible. I can't see that we'd ever eliminate the office of the presidency because that would mean our constitution is not only in the toilet but flushed into the sewer.

I can't see that a 5.3 earthquake would cause the Mississippi to flow upwards ... I would think it would take something stronger than that.

But, as is sometimes usually the case, visions into the future are not necessarily incorrect, they may still deal with the nature of what is perceived.

The quote was "in reverse."

Perhaps you're not aware that eyewitness testimony of the huge New Madrid fault earthquake in the early 1800s had precisely that commentary: that the earthquake caused the Mississippi to flow backwards. Obviously, it wasn't a permanent condition.

And if you think about it, if an earthquake can cause a tsunami, why couldn't it cause a river to do a bit of a flip flop somewhat similar?

18. The U.S. Presidency as we know it should be abolished.

Too much power concentrated in the hands of one man or office with too few checks and balances. Bush and Cheney have exploited it to the worst possible extreme and exposed shortcomings beyond what the Founders could have anticipated in their wildest dreams.

I think the French system of government (Fifth Republic) might be the best way to go. I like the idea of splitting the Head of Government and Head of State roles between two different offices, as most Western Democracies do as well, in some form or another. The Prime Minister, or in our case, Speaker of The House, should be the head of the U.S. Government with full oversight of Domestic and Foreign affairs. A legislative leader, at least, cannot go running roughshod over half the planet without the approval of his or her fellow congressmen in a very public vote.

As for the Presidency, it should be reduced to a mostly benign diplomatic/statesman role with little significance or authority beyond ceremony. This is when and where you might actually want a Ronald Reagan, a guy who can pull the people together in a time of great need or concern, though he may not have a genuine clue about how government actually works.

We can never let a pair like the current Resident and his Minister of Vice run this country again! I really want to see some sweeping changes to the way this whole thing works. Throwing out a couple of modifications to your ideas, NEObuckeye:

1. President = The Master of Ceremonies. This would be a diplomatic job requiring good people skills. (= Queen of England)

2. Dual CEOs of the Government = Speaker of the House and Leader of the Senate jointly running the govt (like prez and VP)

3. Congress = accountable to ALL the People, not just rich corporations. Break the grip of this 2 party Bipolar Govt and allow other political parties to be represented.

--which was based on NEObuckeye's entry above mine--was exactly that--to take away power from the executive. Ejection button is already there --Impeachment --but needs to be improved.

Based on the system we have now, we could restructure responsibilities. The Parliamentary system still allows for a very strong Prime Minister = President. I'm taking about keeping the President as a figurehead, but then putting the running of the govt under a joint leadership which has more balanced accountability to the House and Senate --those executives would not be able to hijack the entire congress.

Certainly I agree with proportional representation, as in the Parliamentary sytem. I just want to get rid of the opportunities for a single charismatic tyrant to emerge.

but it's more than that, I went to a speech given by Dukakis in Philadelphia when he was running for president, now this was like out in
an open area which was filled with people. Then we heard what sounded like a shot, (which was a car backfiring) and the crowd had total panic and started just surging all around me, I was carried along with the movement, it was like a tide of people out of control. This is like
what I am sensing here. I probably didn't describe it that well but
I have not gone to another event with a lot of people to this day where
I have felt comfortable.

I don't like him, I don't like the feeling I get, so I avoid pictures. If I do look, it's a quick cursory glance and that's it. I don't think it's my political views that's doing it because I don't have the same feeling when I look at * or Cheney.

i did a reading a while back about the Plame case. I got the distinct feeling that Rove would die before being convicted. Either suicide, or 'suicide' (as in a sudden health problem or accident). I think Libby will be convicted and perhaps some other people as well.

That's what so nice about DU, you can talk to everybody, I'm glad that
other people are also picking this up. It's the same with George Bush,
I just can't stand to watch him, I read his speeches but when he's on
television, I just can not watch him, if I am in the kitchen and he comes on Tv, I run in and change the channel, it's weird but I have lived thru the Nixon presidency, Reagan, etc. and I have never felt this way before.

12. I'm not really sure how I feel about predictions any more...

For me I find I want to be very careful where I put my energies & thoughts and somehow, most psychic predictions always foretell "doom" scenarios...or at least there is a certain amount of fear or concern involved.

Is it a prediction of something I can change or prepare for?? or is it simply something that adds more fear & stress in my daily life?? At this point in the world, I want to keep as positively focused so that as much as I can, all I put into creating in this world is love & hope. (not saying that I succeed at it LOL) but I like to aim for that.

Predictions are fascinating and we are all a curious lot, thats for sure....I just try not to get too hung up on them and add to the "fear environment" that we are all a part of no matter how hard we try not to be.....I think its incumbent upon lightworkers and those who are "awake", not to add to the fear and anger but to do what we can to lift us all into love and hope....

People are being charged with corruption charges throughout the land,
it is sending a clear message that bribery, mis-allocation of government moneys, inappropriate lobbying and payola to government reps is a crime.
Just look at them, these people are not omnipotent, they are just individuals who are milking the system for a profit, whether it's the
Iraq War, HAVA money, FEMA, Social Security, Bureau of Workmen's Comp, the purpose is not some high and noble goal (though they do hide behind them), the purpose is to make a quick buck at our expense. Have faith, I think that the age of the robber baron is passing, it has lasted since "Reagonomics" and the trickle down economics. We now know that it was never about trickle down but trickle up. Keep the faith, it will get better, why, there are millions of honest hard working Americans who are saying that this must stop

14. Some observations:

1) I've read that in terms of predicting the future, it's very difficult if not impossible to put a time frame on it. Let's say Ms. Bogart senses that there will be another terrorist attack in the US. It could very well happen, considering how we're angering the rest of the world (the other 96%). Just from a practical standpoint, this is a real possibility.

Now, according to a book I just read, it's very difficult to say that it will happen in 2005. Apparently, the past, present and future are all happening at the same time, so it's tough to pin it down to an exact time.

2) That's interesting that she actually names a hurricane, before it has occurred (Irene). We just had hurricane Emily. That means it would be 4 hurricanes after Emily. That's getting pretty exact, unless she has a list of assigned names.

3) I believe all of these things can happen, that she names above. They may not happen in 2005, though.

I would believe the one about the US leadership getting changed. We have caused so much trouble around the world. It's our system of government that's at fault. The US president has WAY too much power. Other countries have different systems which are better. Very few of them, in fact, have ONE leader who gets to call the shots.

4) I've read similar predictions from other people, so she could be on the same wave length. However, I've read that Bush will die in office, not his successor. We'll see.

15. The President Does Have Too Much Power

and this one in particular seems to think that it's what he wants that counts, and nobody else is to have a say. Just because he wants something doesn't mean he's entitled to have it. I heard, the other day, someone say that the president is entitled to who he wants for ambassador to the UN, and on the SC. My thought was, no he isn't, not if its bad for the country. He is governing like a dictator and perhaps the time has come to stop giving so much power to one man.

reports from Bastardi on Accuweather (not the published NOAA or Accuweather calculations) are the most accurate I've seen. He does probability based on historic weather patterns - goes back farther than most analysts. He's calling for 6 hits - 5 storms that hit the US - that doesn't mean storms named up to "E" since some storms are named but stay out to sea etc. He's calling for North Carolina to take the brunt of the storms this year. We'll see.

We've been hit pretty hard in the past few years. NOTHING like Florida, however...they've been beaten to a pulp! But we had Fran & Floyd and a couple more I can't remember the names of, and we were out of power for long periods of time.

the time. We don't know when things will happen. Things change all the time. I've had things I've gotten that was supposed to happen but for whatever reason it changed. That's a long time for the U.S. to tolerate this war in Iraq. I don't see it, myself. I think there will be an economic collapse that will force us out of there.

Already most people see through this war and there is low morale in the armed forces. They are having a horrible time replacing people, which Mary speaks to in some of her other predictions.

Even if Bush reinstated the draft, it wouldn't put the quality of help on the ground that the Military needs to hold Iraq together. Draftees are generally not the highest quality soldiers one can find. They are an absolute last resort for when the US itself is under attack. NeoConservative delusions of global conquest for fossil fuels don't quite cut the mustard here.

I believe that Nancy Waterman and some of the other astrologers have mentioned that the U.S. Progressed Mars is about to go Retrograde for the next 80 years. I think that pretty much spells out the end of war in Iraq, as well as PNAC and their sick plans. Certainly, the US is about to see its' much vaunted role as a Global Military Superpower come apart at the seams.

Being able to predict and individual's life events is wholly different from working with mundane or political events, at least it is in astrology.So what is her track record?
I would need to see this before judging whether her predictions are to be trusted.

Also, I believe the future is amorphous. It can be suggested, but not totally predicted.

The damage may be major, though; Agnes in 1972 was a slow moving storm, a category 1, and it is still on the list as the worst ever in some states:

Let's not give someone too much credibility. The future is nebulous, constantly shape-shifting; it is never written in stone, at least not to my understanding of it.

Also, I'm confused (on edit) -- it appears there was another tropical storm Irene that became a hurricane in 1999. I thought they retired the names.

They are recycled every 6 years, and are retired when they are extremely notorious because of damage.

So Irene was not that significant in 1999, and it is being reused.

Based on what our hurricane season is doing so far, I say watch out for Maria or Ophelia. Both are possibly killer storms - late September, early October. That is MY prediction.

This was really not a "psychic" prediction. Forecasters have been predicting this scenario for a long, long time. It was destined to happen eventually.
