From Zodiac Arts:
At lunar eclipses we: merge, unite, announce, contact, present ourselves, bring something out into the open, make decisions, engage, rise to the challenge, make an effort, change, get a new perspective, join with others, take on greater challenges, travel at a faster pace, feel restless, feel pressured by deadlines and a buildup of emotions, and experience excitement and crisis.
During a Full Moon, the Sun and Moon are in opposition, also called the Full Phase, indicating the linking of soul to spirit and awareness of purpose gained through relationship with another. A lunar eclipse is a supercharged Full Moon. The blocking of the Moon's reflection of the Sun's light by the Earth suggests that our material viewpoint stands in the way of our "seeing the light". It serves as a reminder that we need to realize how we are held in the dark by virtue of our perspective. more detail at:
http://zodiacarts.com/whatsup/LunarEclipse.shtmlI was awake at 5am this morning, the 3rd night in a row I have had some powerful dreams and woken up at the witching hours...
already took a salt & lavender bath and am burning down my solstice candle all day to remind myself of my shifting consciousness from last year to this...
Today I am taking down the tree, honoring my family and the keepsakes as I put them away for another year....and say good bye to last years lessons. I hope to get my house "back to normal" to some degree, whilst keeping the wild monkey children out of trouble ;) (maybe it will warm up enough so they can go outside & play) This evening after dinner we are having 7up in wine glasses and doing 'poppers' in the livin room at 8pm ...so the kids can yell Happy New Year!
THEN; tonite is the first time in a decade or more that I am actually going out on New Years Eve - to a small local pub (called Divided Sky) to meet up with fellow hippie-parents/friends to listen to music and enjoy our "locals" hangout. Most of these friends are also in my meditation group in some form or another, and a couple are long time friends, (since my college days up here)...and it has dawned on me that My Tribe IS HERE - and we all know eachother in different ways, but we are all going to be hanging out together...hopefuly more often as the year goes on. I am already visioning some BBQ's & camping trips we could go and drum with the kids, etc...
so ya, keeping it mellow but really grateful that I get to spend time with folks who aren't a 'bad influence' and that my 'party friends' are actually the same as my 'enlightened friends' - - and that means the party is usually healthier and happier! yay!
BTW - I turn 40 at 15 seconds after midnight, so I will see what the Bday wish looks like tonight! ;)
