One night, God and Mrs. God sat down...
for an after dinner drink. Mrs. God noticed that God had a rather large velvet bag laying beside him.
"What's in the sack?" Mrs. God asked.
"Soul seeds," God answered, as he reached into the sack and pulled out a handful of rubies, diamonds, pearls, emeralds, and all the known jewels in all the known worlds.
God rose and cast them out into the night sky, and they watched together as the jewels flew with rainbowed wings across the midnight sky toward near and distant galaxies.
"What will they become?" Mrs. God asked.
"People," God said.
"Well, there goes the neighborhood," Mrs. God replied, staring out at the cosmos.

I hope no one is offended by this - it came to me last night as I was drifting off to sleep, wishing for a way to cheer up everyone here. If you are offended, just chalk it up to my twisted, weird sense of humor.

1. No offense here
I think it was very cute not to mention truthful, considering how far we humans have to go. Thanks

4. Yeah, I "made it up", I guess.
I was in that sweet spot between sleep and awake, wishing I could think of a way to lighten the troubles for everyone here, and - wham! It just came into my head. I started laughing and hubby asked what was so funny. So, I told it to him, and he said to write it down. Usually, he just responds, "That's nice, honey, Goodnight." But he actually laughed, and said it was a keeper, so I thought I would share it here.

Glad you enjoyed it. :bounce:

9. Honey! I think all your dreams are 'keepers'.
Best to keep a dream diary.

8. Offended? I think it's ADORABLE
and precious. Thanks. And it did cheer me up -- a bit. (LOL -- you don't have the power to cheer me up a LOT; that would take something akin to total planetary transformation at this point).

I'll say it again: adorable. Thanks!
