The Wounded Healer, The Fisher King.

I am oblivious to Astrology's workings and even its larger meanings, but I have been increasingly confirming energetically what Astrologers have been posting here.

As such, I have a question for any and all, regarding our visiting planetoid, Chiron.

My impression, and I wish for elucidation/confirmation/refutation please, is that it was once a life-bearing planet, and suffered an event of beyond catastrophic proportions (collision?). It suffers due to having lost its incarnation goal, of providing a home for various life forms and groups.

I have prayed and prayed and sent light, but the wound(s) are incredibly deep.

Anyone? If I'm wrong, I'd like to learn from those who understand more.

Wikipedia states that it is of cometary behaviour and perhaps origin. I may be utterly off my mark on this one. I'm willing to be wrong in order to learn more. :shrug:

Edit: I have the feeling that I may be laughed out of the building on this, but again, it's out of being eager to learn, and I can take being (terribly) wrong when need be :)

1. It's hard to know

without having your chart details. Chiron is very confusing. I somehow ignored it for 30 years. I have studied it very closely for the past 3. It is extremly powerful and a total enigma. He rules Virgo - of that, I'm sure. I am playing down the "wounded healer" part of it because I think that feeds the human ego. Chiron is one amazing character and mostly represents where YOU CARE A LOT. I find him very accentuated in the charts of healers and those who CARE. Thus, Virgo.

He is complex acting in his very irregular orbit as a link between the inner and outer planets. So?

He definitely represents some of our wounds in some ways, yet there is much more to him. As Martin Lass's great book on Chiron clearly states; the wound is the source of our healing and GIFT. He is correct, I believe.

I have transiting Pluto going over my natal Chiron in the 12th house at the moment and heading for my Sun. So, I am quite up on this "planetoid."

Chiron is where your soul yearns to go above and beyond (Virgo) your "normal" limitations. Your reach out. You reach deep. You don't care anymore about "humanness", i.e., you stretch towards your pure divinity. That is Chiron, IMHO :hi:

That's WHY so many Virgoans are nurses. They don't bitch about their "lot" in life; they are happy to serve. God Bless them.

Part of me wishes to destroy any opportunities I might have as a "public" spiritual person, through self-sabotage. This is my tendency, and I'm not certain if I'm doing so here or not, as I am finding that I am -very- uncomfortable being "public", even in a group of like-spirited individuals. It's my learning (when I'm at the point where I wish that I could just watch the sunset a while). I =do= care a lot, especially about the current spiritual development of the world, and the people who must adapt to it. Wishing that I could help just a bit more, although understandably the majority of the response I receive is outright mockery. This is something that I've needed to learn about as well, how to be okay with what I'm perceiving and doing in the face of disdain.

I appreciate the replies a lot. Some here have posted about remotely contacting and conversing with planet and planetoid consciousnesses. I'd love to hear from those with such gifts. I am concerned with helping this being heal if any healing is appropriate. If the pain I detected is not Chiron's, I wonder from whence it came...and this tells you something about what I care about, in the process.
