Hello everyone!! God's blessings on everyone from the bottom of my heart.
I've been trying to understand the dream I had almost two weeks ago. I give up...this is beyond my abilities.

I dreamt of my mother, (who has been gone for 6 years, 3 days). Prior to this dream, I had asked for my mom to visit me for my birthday, which is the 30th of January. One of my closest friends were there, too. Her name was Kelly. In this dream, I was in a house that had a staircase similar to the one I have now. Kelly was higher up on the stair case that I was. My mother came down the staircase and smiled at me and Kelly. She hugged the both of us but didn't say anything.

My mother was followed by a tall willowy, VERY FAIR woman dressed in gown that seemed to made of chiffon like material and it was a vivid seafoam green. She handed a gift to Kelly, which I didn't really get a good look at and then she handed a gift to me that was wrapped in the darkest red velvet I have ever seen. She smiled at me and said one word twice, while holding onto my shoulders- "Tuatha. TUATHA!"

I woke up then. I was puzzled and when I logged online later that day, I decided to look up this word. Evidently, it is old Irish mean "THE PEOPLE". Now, fellas and ladies, I am "Mostly" african descent but I do have a STRONG line of Irish blood, through my mom's family, (My Greatgrandfather was Irish).

As most of you know, I am a reader and I am a mediumistic reader and the word I use to refer to the spirits is "The People".

Can anyone figure out why I was handed a gift by an old Celtic speaking Sidhe?

1. Interesting how your friend's name is Kelly
It fits into the Celtic theme.
I hope Morning Glory sees this post because she also talks about Tuatha.
I'm Irish and I first learned of the word from Morning Glory.

2. What a great dream!
You've been visited by the faery folk. Not just "the people"/spirits, the Tuatha de Danann were the spiritual/magical race that originally populated Ireland (where the name Dana came from). They were the original faery folk--not cute little flitty things like Tinkerbell, but human-sized (or bigger) very powerful spiritual beings. They are quite like the elven race in Lord of the Rings.

If I had to hazard a guess, the spirit guide, likely a Tuatha herself, and definitely an ancestor/guide for your family (soul family, as your friend Kelly isn't related to you by blood in this lifetime, correct?), came with your mother and reminded you that you have Tuatha blood in your veins.

I like the staircase motif as well--like your mother and the Tuatha guide were coming down from "heaven"/the Otherworld?

Welcome to the magical race, Ecumenist! (I'm Tuatha as well.) It's a blast!

A good read: http://www.shee-eire.com/Magic&Mythology/Races/Tuatha-De-Danann/Page1.htm

6. Thank you so much Morning Glow!!
I really appreciate your input. As a matter of fact, I do have Irish blood. My great grandfather was from County Clare and married my greatgrandmother Melissa, (Lissie), who was a beautiful woman who looked like a chinese woman carved from obsidian. She sat on her UNSTRAIGHTENED hair. Straightened, it would have brushed the floor and ground. Her family disowned her, not because he was white but because he was Roman
Catholic. I knew that we were not just Irish but also Scottish through my mother's mother's bloodline. It was just so amazing that this Sidhe came with my Mom to give me that gift. The gift was the length of a shoe box BUT it wasn't as tall as one. It was wrapped in what looked like "velvet" that was a dark red as you could get without being black but there were no bow or ribbons on it at all. She handed it to with her right hand.

9. I don't know. LOL!!

I've been thinking about that it may have been and I realise that since that dream, I have started 3 radio shows and starting to get GREAT feedback from them. I also have begun anew two websites that I found out had been sabotaged by a family friend I'd hired to help me. One was definitely sabotaged and the other was deleted. There are, however, silver linings to every cloud.

11. the gift of the space family reminding us we are all one people...
dunno, that's what i'm getting.

the fair folk are ancestral memories with our dealings with our celestial family. descending from above to reminds us that they are at a higher state, but want to come down and engage us, not force us to struggle to come up. the gift is like clotted blood, like a placenta; together we are all one people, there is no difference. the spirit/celestial world is intimately tied with our world of where we are born into, the ancestral memory remembers this in the word "Tuatha", The People.

... could there be pregnancy involved later? a child thrust into your guardianship? care over a new generation? what... star children?

the impressions end there, i get nothing after that...

Just sharing a similar experience. I thought that I was basically all African (North African and Sub Saharan) until one afternoon almost ten years ago, while fully awake just lazing about, when an Asian woman appeared to me with 2 others. They appeared long enough for me to fully see them, their features and clothing before they just faded away. The two others I understood, but Asian? I was baffled. I soon afterward had dinner with my psychic/psychologist in-law and she immediately said that was Quan Yin.

Quan who? and she told me Quan Yin's story and gave me a statue she had stored away that was given to her by a Vietnamese friend. I keep her loving beside me. But why she appeared, in-law couldn't figure, except for what I was going through at the time fit Quan Yin's attributes for help that I needed.

Then I told my mother who said, Oh, she must be from the Chinaman ancestor. Chinaman ancestor? Then mom told me about an Asian sailor - who was just called the Chinaman from over 100 years ago who stopped in Africa on many trips, finally decided to stay and married into the family. You'd think that he was so unusual that he would have been talked about a lot more. But the way they figure, the family's migratory history can be traced from the Middle East down to the West Coast of Africa that included a lot of different and "unusual" people.

I think the Chinaman must have adored Quan Yin and that part of him in me must have been calling to her for help or he interceded for me. I guess we may forget our ancestors or take them for granted but they certainly don't forget us :)

on edit: spelling

8. That's great, KoB!
Fantastic family history--isn't it fun when you find out things you never knew? I didn't find out that we may have Irish blood in our family till I was in my 20s. Apparently, although my entire family is from Sicily (both sides), my maternal grandmother's lineage may have included an Irish sailor. That explains my green eyes and pale skin--and explains my attachment to the Tuatha even more, I suppose! :)

14. That is amazing and beautiful!
A few years ago, an Asian American reporter (female) and a Caucasian reporter (male - Nordic type) had their DNA tested for a story they were working on. They tested other colleagues/friends, too. The most fascinating thing was the result found they both had genetic markers from ancestors in Mongolia thousands of years ago. I remember the guy saying that his people came to America from Scotland.

And I was like, of course, there was a PBS special a few years ago about the Celtic mummies found in China. They were overjoyed that they had a link they couldn't have imagined.

What was disheartening was that one of the people tested (an Hispanic male - very Caucasoid) was obviously dismayed when his test came back 25 percent African. While everyone in the segment embraced the many people that helped create who they are, his disappointment was heartbreaking to watch.

I say come out, come out wherever you are

5. Fascinating dream, Ecumenist!
Reading this brought back memories of a dream I had with who I guess was a Fairy King (guessing he was a king because he laid a scepter on each of my shoulders, as if knighting me). He commended (not commanded) me to talk to the plants. Not listen - talk. It woke me up, it was so real.

And MorningGlow - wonderful information.
