I think I understand the fox message -- darkness/light

I posted my unusual fox encounter a few days ago:

As you'll read, I felt it wasn't so much a personal message but more universal, and I didn't understand it. I kept finding myself saying how the fox, accustomed to staying hidden and in the dark, "came into the light."

The optimist in me wanted to believe that meant those in the darkness -- the manipulator types, TPTB...whatever -- would come into the light and live in a more loving, humane way.

In observing events all around me -- locally, with dear friends and family such as you all here, globally -- I don't think it means that now. Whether it's family members who have deceived others for decades -- to everyone's detriment -- or politicians, corporations and SYSTEMS, it's blatantly in everyone's face more and more how negative and toxic their way of Being is.

I think it means those mired in fear and darkness as a way of Being aren't even trying to conceal it any more. They're boldly showing themselves now...nothing hidden.

Most of us probably prefer that transparency. Maybe some of those who have been fooled -- on both a personal and societal level -- will start to see the truth. And that truth shall set them free.

I like to think it means that type of Being is coming to an end (fear, manipulation, power hungry based energy)...and it's their last grasp to retain power.

I choose to believe that, and remind myself to choose love, not fear and help others do the same.

I have seen this too, OGR, and it astounds me. These people who are mired in the darkness don't care at all to show it, and they are often applauded for it. It blows my mind sometimes. People often perceive these very dark ways as "strength" and "power" and they feel powerless and want to be a part of this power. I think that sums up the success of right wing radio, for instance. Darkness is seen as power, not love.

But then I see love happening also and the efforts of good people who try to live in the light keep me hopeful. But I have to say that the deceitful people tend to bond easily, while people in the light aren't hostages to fear and allow themselves to disagree with one another at times because they are brave and stand for something. The darkness is chocked full of gutless wonders.

You received a great insight from the lovely Fox. And it was obviously very brave in coming into the light for you.

3. The fear-based will be feeling more and more uncomfortable

and will likely try even harder to make their old behaviours "work". The feedback from such will either cause them to consider new behaviours or to give up and leave the Earth.

It is incompatable. Domination, bullying, fear-mongering...all lose energy. Look for this in the deepest fear and most powerfully negative energies.

However, those who do not engage in negativity at an enegetic level will remain with us. The "Luciferic" is still around, and givers of (extremely) bad advice, all the while smiling, shall likely be among us even past 2012. Free will requires complete responsibility at this point, so be careful of tricksters with greater perspective.

Isn't being a trickster -- knowingly giving bad advice, for example -- part of negativity? Part of the manipulative energy?

And...

5. This is not the place in which to discuss/invoke true darkness.

Some warning, even oblique, is required, yet expansion is not.

Concentrate on the Light. The time of "average" fear and aggresive darkness is over. Just beware that which smiles while hiding a knife behind its back.

10. A reminder to self and those interested in messages via....

Animal Kingdom, Plant Kingdom, dreams, etc.


When it comes to symbolism, I think it's important to pay attention to what the symbolism (the animal, the plant, the dream message) means to us personally. We have different perspectives and perceptions based on life experience.

In the case of the fox, for example, while I'm aware trickster is a primary message associated with the fox, that aspect has never resonated with me personally. Not yet, at least. ;)

I've always connected to the "staying hidden" aspect of the fox message, and that's what I reminded myself this morning I need to pay attention to. How this message may pertain to others as far as it being a more universal message was where I was confused.

So, this is just a gentle reminder to pay attention to our own intuition regarding these messages and not necessarily the given, assumed, traditional messages they may bring. The traditional information is a great starting point to see where our attention is drawn and where our intuition takes us.

My two cents this morning. ;)

12. Good question!

I can relate to the fox in that way, as I prefer to stay in the background...the shadows...myself. I don't like to be out and about in the midst of people; I prefer to not even have my name on work I've done if it means a spotlight in any way.

It's a personal struggle I'm facing right now to "get out there."

Maybe this fox encounter is more personal than I realized?

13. It just happened again....

with another animal coming out into the open and staying there for the LONGEST time. I was trying to distract the kitteh, thinking the bird was hurt. It stayed in one spot, not doing anything but looking at me, for 20 minutes. Seriously, didn't move for 20 minutes.

I finally got the kitteh amused with something else and walked over to see if the little bird was injured. He flew away just fine.

Okay, so I'm paying attention, and I do believe the message was more for me. ;)

It was nice to be out in the fresh air, just breathing for a bit.
