The times are a changing
Edited on Sun Aug-14-05 02:07 AM by nadinbrzezinski
We know Dylan put it well, but today I had some talks with people. One of them is in education, the other in the service, and then my encounter the other day with a freeper.

Anyhow there is a change in the country, a significant change> People are very uneasy waiting for the other proverbial shoe to drop. We have, most likely, reached the tipping point and gone over it, and it was this week. All of a sudden I am noticing that bush bots are far more tense, like they are starting to realize they are loosing control, yet the Stenography Corp is well behind the power curve trying to distact... see shiny metal over here! And it is not working

Heck it is getting hot at the ranchette, with the on again of again and once again on again terra alert. Then we have a four star cashiered (I wonder ever more if General Byrnes disobeyed a direct unlawful order). And we have workers doing work stoppages. You can feel it, the tension in the air... I believe this is the moment we all have been waiting for. It is also time for all of you to decide, how far are you willing to go? I don't believe this bunch will give up power, so the time of sorrows, as I have called it, is upon us. How much are you willing to sacrifice for the tree of liberty may require some blood...

1. I have to agree...I definitely feel it too....
some big changes coming...some we aren't going to like...some that many have seen and others refuse to see until the evidence is knocking at their door.....

Very good question...how much and just what will we need to sacrifice.....have we already sacrificed too much.....

We needed a big wake up call...obviously or we wouldn't have gotten more of the georgie gang....just what is it going to take to gain the attention of the sleeping dreaming ones?? We may be about to find out just what its going to take.....

Yes the times they are a changing and readying to change even more.........

3. So....Miss Night Owl! I see you're up, too!
 Me, too.

I'm about to go to bed, 'cause I've got an early morning meeting, and it's ALREADY early morning! :boring:

Yes, something is shifting. Mercury is going to go direct here in a couple of days, and it coincides with whatever this "planned" nuclear exercise is that the booshmafia has planned, so they can go nuke Iran.

Mercury goes direct on the 15th, shortly before midnight the 16th (Eastern time). Their planned Homeland Security drill is planned for the 17th. I truly hope and pray that if they ARE planning another 9/11 for that day, that their attempts are foiled badly, and that it all comes back on them.

Nancy Waterman has been predicting a really bad September for boosh, and I'm hoping that, if he HAS planned a 9/11-type attack, it will be his own worst nightmare come true, and that the rest of us will be protected. O8)

I have the deepest respect for what Cindy Sheehan has done to draw attention to the coward that he is...I know how much he must hate to have missed all the fun from his gigazillionth vacation.

Interesting times, indeed.

As Nadin has said, it looks like there's about to be a serious moment of truth coming our way soon.

We're all feeling it. But, this time, SO ARE THEY!!

:kick::kick::kick:

2. Does it take sacrifice?
Edited on Sun Aug-14-05 02:36 AM by votesomemore
Or just a peaceful feeling?

The third largest city in Nevada gets along just fine every year.
Fun to be had by all.

Baby boomer / hippie here and no. We have sacrificed enough.

It's time for those mofos to sacrifice.

5. Burning Man...coming up soon isn't it....
Some day I want to get there.....

10 Principles

Radical Inclusion
Anyone may be a part of Burning Man. We welcome and respect the stranger. No prerequisites exist for participation in our community.

Gifting
Burning Man is devoted to acts of gift giving. The value of a gift is unconditional. Gifting does not contemplate a return or an exchange for something of equal value.

Decommodification
In order to preserve the spirit of gifting, our community seeks to create social environments that are unmediated by commercial sponsorships, transactions, or advertising. We stand ready to protect our culture from such exploitation. We resist the substitution of consumption for participatory experience.

Radical Self-reliance
Burning Man encourages the individual to discover, exercise and rely on his or her inner resources.

Radical Self-expression
Radical self-expression arises from the unique gifts of the individual. No one other than the individual or a collaborating group can determine its content. It is offered as a gift to others. In this spirit, the giver should respect the rights and liberties of the recipient.

Communal Effort
Our community values creative cooperation and collaboration. We strive to produce, promote and protect social networks, public spaces, works of art, and methods of communication that support such interaction.

Civic Responsibility
We value civil society. Community members who organize events should assume responsibility for public welfare and endeavor to communicate civic responsibilities to participants. They must also assume responsibility for conducting events in accordance with local, state and federal laws.

Leaving No Trace
Our community respects the environment. We are committed to leaving no physical trace of our activities wherever we gather. We clean up after ourselves and endeavor, whenever possible, to leave such places in a better state than when we found them.

Participation
Our community is committed to a radically participatory ethic. We believe that transformative change, whether in the individual or in society, can occur only through the medium of deeply personal participation. We achieve being through doing. Everyone is invited to work. Everyone is invited to play. We make the world real through actions that open the heart.

Immediacy
Immediate experience is, in many ways, the most important touchstone of value in our culture. We seek to overcome barriers that stand between us and a recognition of our inner selves, the reality of those around us, participation in society, and contact with a natural world exceeding human powers. No idea can substitute for this experience.

Only the strong survive. And we are. :D

The rest take the first bus out to Reno. Whatever works.

Would that not be Awesome? Maybe I can go next year. Oh wow !

It's a universal awakening. I'm done with this bum stuff.

9. Definietly
You could feel it before but not this intense. WAY more people are getting fed up and mad and all that. They're releasing their anger and it's going to the air. You can for sure sense it.

I do hope it's of the bloodless kind and that it does bring BushCo to justice. I feel it will.

11. American Revolutions have tended, for the most part
to remain peaceful... the New Deal was a Revolution and right now we are living one from the Connies, and people are getting ready for a lurch to the left... but yes I am talking of a revolution

again....

How heartbreaking to see those crosses all smashed and flattened in the ditch.
I hope this pisses a lot of people off. How can they disrespect those who gave thier LIVES?

It may have been one fool who did the act but he was fueled by the hate of thousands. How sad.

What will his act fuel....at the very least...a major wake up call....
