Here's your feng shui tip to cleanse your home of old "stuff"
In some cultures and traditions today is known as 'Bright Monday' or even 'Renewal Monday.' In parts of Poland and the United States today is referred to as 'Dyngus Day.'
Events taking place on this day often include egg-rolling competitions or dousing other people or their homes with holy or blessed water. This holy water is believed to bless the house and the people who live there and even to bless the food that nourishes and nurtures the occupants of the space. On this day you'll be right in line with these energies if you fill any natural container with fresh, spring or distilled water and pieces of fresh orange peel.
Take this citrus water outside and hold it up to the sun. Hold it there for a few seconds visualizing fresh and healthy energies entering the water, imbuing it with beautiful, brilliant and, yes, blessed vibes. Now, enter the house from the front door and walk the perimeter of the main floor in a clockwise direction, flicking this water all around your space. Flick it onto the carpet and up to the ceiling and sideways on the walls as you make your way clockwise around the main space. Don't forget the corners as you clear and cleanse!
As you do this, understand that you're blessing your home with an old but entirely effective chaos cleanser while washing old and unhealthy energies away and opening the way for fresh new ones to arrive. Once back at the front door pour any of the remaining orange water down the kitchen drain, which is exactly where your worries will go as well! Dirty Dyngus Magee, my eye! On this day your whole space will be clean as a whistle while calling in some super duper fortune and luck!
On edit...Damn! I just realized this is Tuesday! Oh Well, Hope it worked. ;)
