August 2010 Prayer, Light and Healing Requests Thread

In this time of extreme change, take time to be with yourself. Find the places that feed your soul and help you to stay connected to the Universe and your Higher Self.

Every person who is walking in the light is needed now more than ever before. We are called upon to be the hands of the Universe in ways that we would never have expected in the past. With so much being asked of us now, make sure that you also take care of yourself so that you have the energy to do this sacred work. You can't give what you don't have, so take the time to take care of yourself, and don't feel selfish for doing this. This is sacred work as well.

With much love and light, I open this thread. I ask that the Holy Beings who work with us help every person who has need, whether he/she decides to post it here or not. I also ask that this assistance be continued for those who have asked in past threads, if assistance is still required.

2. My hands got warmer as I read....

There is a lot of energy and sacred wisdom in what you wrote, IHAD. With it coming from such a pure heart, it radiates the essence of Love.

I join you in wishing this for others who are in need of assistance, and accept the same for myself.

Bless you....Bless Everyone.

3. Long time lurker,
first time poster.

May I please have prayers for Goodwill, Knowledge, Understanding, and Patience. I have encountered stumbling block after stumbling block, these past months. I have manifested good things only to have the rug pulled out from under me at the last minute. These past months have felt like a long and painful labor before a birth. What am I missing, or what am I doing wrong, about the "easily and effortlessly" thing that Creator of All That Is says I am entitled to? Am I standing in my own way? I said "YES"! to abundance, joy, bliss, good health, etc., some weeks ago. What am I doing wrong?

Thank you all in advance and thank you for being here. :grouphug:

Jenn

4. A grueling, protracted childbirth -- snakes shedding skin...

Both are apt descriptions for what so many are feeling these days (and have felt for a LONG time). :)

I would suggest that you're not doing anything wrong. Focus on what you choose to create and experience; evaluate but don't stay in the energy of what you feel isn't here yet and certainly not any failure, as you perceive it, on your part.

I join you in these prayers...for the Highest Good of all involved.

5. Thank you for your
kind words! I feel many good things coming, like one feels a word on the tip of their tongue, but cannot quite get it out. Does that make sense?

This forum has given me much peace, reading what you and all the others, have to offer. I have stumbled along during this planetary chaos, yet keeping the faith, only because I have come here for comfort and knowledge.

Being a Cancer (July 1) has not made this journey any easier ;)

Again, thank you :hug:

12. Sending light to untangle any impediments
Also, know that you're not alone in feeling good things coming...but they aren't here yet. It's not what you're doing or not doing; it's more in the timing. It will happen when it's time. You know what they say--God only has three answers to your prayers: "Yes", "Not yet", and "I have something better in mind". ;)

Happy belated birthday, as well. My brother's birthday is also 7/1! :hi:

6. Jenn, I ask that the Universe help you to remove the obstacles...
to manifesting these good things into your life. Please notice that I said "help you" since it may still require some action on your part. I wish you much success and send you love, light and energy to help you to do this work. (This or something better for the highest good of all involved.)

I also ask that if what you ask is not for the highest good, you are made aware that this is the case. As I'm sure you've experienced, some things that appear wonderful on the surface actually set us back when they actually come into our lives.

I also recommend that you try doing what the video in the following post says. I have found it to be quite powerful and effective.

7. Thank you, IHAD...
my older sister has shared Abraham with me for years. It was only recently I became "open" to him. Thank you for sharing. :hug:

As I am still in my "elementary" phase of Theta, I have to remind myself to include "for the highest and best good" in my prayers. Thank you for your reminder. I have no doubt I have further work to do, but then, again, I believe that is what life is...working towards our Higher Selves. What a journey! :)

By the way, a groundhog just ran by my window, for the first time since I have lived here (7/02). I wonder if there is any meaning to that? I do not find Groundhog in my animal medicine book. If anyone knows, I would greatly appreciate the knowledge.

Once again, my gratitude,
Jenn

8. Groundhog from Ted Andrews' "Animal Speak"
Symbolically this reflects the ability to get deep within an area of interest. It is not unusual to have a groundhog appear at a time when a new area of study is about to open up. Since a groundhog does not fully mature for about two years, its appearance as a totem can reflect an endeavor that may take two years to come to full fruition. This may reflect two years of intensive study, digging, and building.

<snip>

When groundhog shows up as a totem, there will be opportunity to explore deeper altered states of consciousness. Lessons associated with death and dying and revelations about its process will begin to surface. Groundhog holds the knowledge of metabolic control. Its medicine is that of going into the great unconscious to touch the mystery of death without dying.

9. OMG!!
I think it was just about two years ago that I wrote a post about coming almost nose to nose with a groundhog, aka woodchuck, in my little fenced in back yard. The grass was overgrown at that time too, as it is now. I was all set to let my Flurry out to do his business, and stopped dead in my tracks. I had the slider to the deck partially opened when I spotted him!! He was sitting upright, nonchalantly nibbing on some high weeds, looked me dead in the eye and continued on with his snack. I closed the door and although I expected it to startle him away....it didn't!! I ended up taking my fur baby out on a leash for a walk via the front door. I am very familiar with these "critters" from my childhood on my parents farm in Delancy N.Y. We were so poor at the time, Dad used to shoot them for food! :cry: and Mom cooked them. As I recall when fried, they tasted just like chicken. There was a small pouch that had to be removed from their rear ends before they were edible. It pains me now, because they are a very docile creature. My parents told me that Native Americans used to eat them. I wonder if this one was a Totem, and had anything to do with my current health problems???

15. Thank you so much
for that information! For me, the first thing I thought of as I was reading, was my Theta and how much more I have to learn. As for the lessons associated with death and dying, I know I have thought more about my immortality since my 59th birthday on July 1.

I appreciate your efforts, IHAD.

Joyfully,
Jenn

10. Hi, Laylah. Pretty name :)
I'm joining you in prayer for all those good virtues you desire :hug:

For me, saying yes to abundance, joy, bliss, etc..., erupted into a lot more trouble - really confusing. Later I saw there was a lot of cleansing (the troubles) before I stabilized a bit. To me, the bad and good news is it never stops but you grow deeper in self with naturalness of creating the life you want, and the stumbling blocks won't be major disruptions - just signs for more cleansing, growth and stability.

A wise man here told me the other day, Breathe, Please Yourself and Stay Connected. :hug:

Again, thank you :hug:

18. Please think good thoughts for my husband
IHAD, my heart smiles whenever I think of you! Thank you so much for taking on the prayers and healing thread this month.

Without divulging a lot of family stuff, my husband's younger sister has decided she wants to "heal her relationship" with him. She has been evil and horrible to him (and by extension, to me,) for the past 17 years. She's not sorry for anything she's done, but she's getting a therapist involved? What she needs is a mirror!

I am afraid my husband is walking into an ambush tomorrow night. Please send courage and healing to him, and strength enough to get up and walk out if it isn't positive.

Again,thank you.
-MV/Julie

19. I ask that the Universe be with your husband in an active way during this meeting.
I ask that it be made clear to him what is an honest attempt to reconcile and what is manipulation as he works his way through this time. Kudos to him for having a heart open enough to hope that they may reconcile and have a positive relationship; many people become so jaded that such things are not possible once someone has treated them as he (you) have been treated. I ask that he be directed to do what is for the highest good of all involved and that he be able to do it with confidence and courage. No matter what, the Universe should be pleased that he's at least leaving room for a miracle to happen here.

(Thank you so much for your kind words, Julie. :hug: )

20. Facing phobias
Edited on Wed Aug-04-10 05:43 PM by Shallah Kali
There are things I have put off dealing with because of medical phobia. I finally got a few checked out a week ago but still need to go over some more things with the doctor who's office I can't call without shaking and crying. Calling in today to see if a test result was back yet I almost hung up on the receptionist when I couldn't talk for a minute and then had to make myself heard clearly over chattering teeth.

i hate asking for help. I hate feeling like such a useless wimp. i hate that i haven't conquered this fear, that it controls me so. i hate that it is so blasted hard to face the fear and then have to face the side effects it has the problems which are made worse by stress.

Please do not allow this to make you feel "less than". You have so many strengths. So many people here adore you for being the amazingly intelligent, generous and empathic person that you are.

I'll share with you something about myself that has me feeling very similarly so that you don't feel alone. If I have to go to a social function where I have to walk around and small talk, I agonize about it from the time that I first know about it until I'm walking out the door to return home from it. It doesn't matter if I know people there or not, I just feel extremely uncomfortable; I feel as though I'm being tortured. Afterward, I feel utterly drained, and it takes me days to recover from the experience. Other people who have never experienced this just can't comprehend why this is a problem for me. That only makes it worse. I have a specific type of social phobia, and I also hate that I haven't conquered my fear and that it controls me. We probably all have something like this to a certain degree. You're at least trying to do the work to get through it. That takes true courage.

I am sending you light and supportive energy to help you to continue to plod on. Maybe it will be two steps forward and one step back, but it's still progress. I ask that the Universe help you to take the appropriate steps to make it as painfree and quick as possible. May you ultimately break free from the bonds in which it holds you.

:hug:

I also recommend the Flower Essence Services Five Flower Formula and the Grace Formula, especially if your doctors and their staff are female (Grace Formula promotes cooperation with other women.) You could also try Spirit in Nature's Coconut essence for medical stuff. The creator calls Coconut the "Going to the dentist" essence, because it is so fortifying.

38. Hi I used to use rescue remedy
it helped if I remebered to use it before the anxiety got to panic level and even shut down attacks. The problem is that one of my issues I am going to the doctor with is that anything fruit or fructose does unpleasant things to my digestion even in tiny amounts such as a single packet of Emergenc-C w/5mg of fructose. I can't remember if brandy is grain or fruit based but I don't dare try it for fear of the digestive trouble that would start either way as I also have celiac.

homeopathics are out until I find a lactose/dairy free line as well.

28. going in for bloodwork tomorrow
I am trying to write a letter to leave for my doctor detailing the things going wrong since it is so hard for me to call or go in. She was very nice in my first appointment so hopefully she won't be all :wtf: over how long it took me to come in.

Funny thing is what most people fear is bloodwork but that doesn't scare me. I went though so many blood tests back when I was trying the medication route for the agoraphobia and general anxiety that I got desensitized about having blood drawn to check the medication levels.

29. Plea for support
You may remember that I am going through a divorce right now. It has become clear to me that this will be more contentious than I anticipated, and that we will go to court after all.

I am asking for patience and fortitude. I am asking for a fuller sense of compassion. I am asking his angels to guide him to that place within where he can see and understand his true self, without shame, and without fear.

And please, protect and guide my son, who is understanding more than he should for his five years, and learning some difficult truths much too young.

that's evolved into "Everything makes me nauseous!" (yes, even water.) I haven't been able to hold down any substance for a couple of days other than tea, and that's the kind meant for an upset stomach, so it is helping some.

39. Thanks y'all
:)

I managed to get some soup in me last night and have found that fizzy drinks don't upset my stomach like non-fizzy ones. I had bought some tangerine soda when I got the soup as well as some lemonade. The latter still upset my stomach while the soda didn't. I may ask a neighbor friend to get me some club soda if I don't have the energy to get out later.

And it may be some kind of flu, but unlike any I'd had before. Or it may be a relapse of the stuff I had at the beginning of June, which had similar symptoms other than the constant nausea. I've had drainage give me nausea before, just not this severe.

I find it helps me a lot when I feel nausea. It's the only soda I'll drink any more. I know that you need to be wary of dehydration though, and after having suffered severe dehydration when I was hospitalized, my Dr. recommended Pedialite once I was home. My local grocery store, who delivers groceries for seniors, had it in stock and I was able to get it from them as I can no longer drive my car until I get my legs "back under me".

42. I almost forgot....
I have a specific need of prayer, light and healing for my daughter who is undergoing surgery on the tenth of this month. She will be having the LARGE fibroid tumors that she's been carrying around since she had my grandson Aidan. He shared her womb with them and he weighed 10 lbs.!! They have continued to grow, and her Dr. has decided that they must come out. Don't know yet if she will need a hysterectomy (I pray not) but she doesn't plan on any more children anyway....but at age 40 I hope they at least let her keep her ovaries so she can forgo early menopause. Send some prayers and light for me too....the helpless Mom and Nana who can't be THERE for them when they need me. It's tearing me apart...and the FEAR!! I'm fighting the fear and I'm not winning yet! Love and hugs to all.

Big hugs and supportive energy to you, JA. I know that it's hard, but I'm sure that your family is just so happy that you're still in their lives. You've come a long way health-wise, my friend. They know that you'd be there to help if there were any way at all that you could. Everything will work out. :hug::hug:

Tell her to ask her doctor about larger doses of vitamins A and D. They've been known to do some good in that area. I haven't had any popping cysts (polycystic ovary syndrome here) since I've been taking 5000 IUs of D every day (and double that when it's not summer) at my doctor's direction. I know PCOS is different from fibroids, but I wouldn't be surprised if she made progress with a vitamin supplement regimen.

47. I bought some ginger ale earlier this evening
but didn't have any ice ;) So, I've been waiting on it to chill some more. I did find that mixing the club soda with the lemonade worked very well, making it more palatable to my stomach.

I remembered I had some crystallized ginger, so I nibbled on that for a bit, too. My energy is starting to come back, little by little, and the nausea slowly going away.

My goal is for this to be gone by the end of the week. I want to visit my parents this coming weekend, as my father is having his 80th birthday in the middle of the week and we were gathering next Sunday to celebrate :)

Thanks for the suggestions and energies, too. I think I'll go crack open one of the ginger-ale cans and have some while I watch James May's Toy Stories :D

45. Oh uck
Sending healing light for you, K. Hope you feel better soon.

There's been something going around my family--tends to come back at least once--that we got from my niece when we were in California (well, she had it first, at least). Nausea, chills (then hot), lack of appetite, abdominal pains. Might be that--it seems to be transatlantic and highly contagious. The good news is that while it boomerangs back on you about a week after you kill it off the first time, it doesn't last long either round.

48. Thanks, MG :)
This may very well be the "boomerang" of the stuff I had May 31, when I spread it to Manifestor_of_Light and her husband (you or someone else told me later that I was their "Typhoid Henry" :P) Similar symptoms, including the excess drainage, but with an excess of nausea this time.

More fruit, applesauce, vegetables, and energy... :)

98. Stupid cold came back Thursday night!
It's not as bad this time around, but still ended up with the bad nausea, excessive drainage, and now the sneezing symptom again. Sometime this morning, I'm going to get over to Whole Foods and get some things, including coconut water and these pre-made kombucha drinks. The coconut water is a natural electrolyte-replacer and the kombucha helps boost the immune system. I can't keep having relapses, especially as I may be employed by the end of next week.

If y'all have any other ingestible suggestions, let me know and I'll make another trip later today. The ginger ale kind of worked, but I may stick with the kombucha drinks for now. I've read that fermented foods are very good for your body :)

100. Yeah, though I thought I'd already gone through the second "boomerang"
Sadly, I read this morning that I can't buy the kombucha drinks I was hoping to find. Another fight with the FDA and another government agency, this time over the trace amount of alcohol content:

Kombucha war brewing between food regulators and fermenty beverage makers
Xeni Jardin at 3:42 PM Tuesday, Jul 20, 2010
http://boingboing.net/2010/07/20/kombucha-war-brewing.html

The SF Weekly notes the trend of increasing FDA regulatory scrutiny around the fermented beverage known as kombucha, because some commercial preparations can contain trace amounts of naturally occurring alcohol (say, .4 or .5 percent, compared to 5% in a light beer). Reader Michael Robbins, who sends in this link, adds, "Sadly, all my Kansas stores have pulled my daily drink from the shelves because of the new regulations. Have to go back to home brewing this treat."

Voluntary Kombucha Ban Spurs Some Makers to Jigger the Formula
By John Birdsall, SFoodie Editor, Mon., Jul. 19 2010 @ 5:54PM
http://blogs.sfweekly.com/foodie/2010/07/voluntary_kombucha_ban_spurs_s.php

Rachel Swan of the East Bay Express traces kombucha's recent decline, after the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau posted an online warning that drinks with an alcohol content of .5 percent and higher are, technically, booze. (Some commercial kombuchas clock in at .6 or .7 percent.) Cue the voluntary product pulls from shelves at Whole Foods and other stores. Swan:

Admittedly ... a difference of .1 or .2 percent alcohol by volume isn't enough to get you drunk. For comparison, Coors Light contains about 4.3 percent, while many Belgian trappist ales exceed 9 percent. Kombucha now straddles a thin line between being a bona fide health food beverage and the weakest malt brew on the planet. That's put the producers in an awkward position. Meanwhile, the recalls threaten to drain their personal coffers.

I find this kind of decision maddening and so uncalled for. I can still get other fermented products, like sauerkraut, which I love, but it doesn't have the probiotics and even pre-biotics like the kombucha drinks. I'll look at my nutritional health books and see what else I can get to boost my immune system.

I just wish there was some way of changing the minds of these apparent puritan anti-alcohol types in the federal government. "Protecting" us from the "dangers" of natural foods, but almost rubber-stamping the pharmaceuticals that "may cause death in rare cases."

~~~
Thanks for the healing thoughts and best wishes on my future employment. I also got a call for a similar job that might last longer, but the first one would improve my skills more, even if it only lasts until the end of the year. There's also the possibility that they'd want to hire me permanently, so I'll just have to do my best so that they do :)
102. I wasn't aware there was one without vinegar.
Vinegar doesn't bother me and we all know it's good for the body, too, but I may look for it and see how I like it. I've also had kimchi once, but at a restaurant. It was also dry and we couldn't figure out how they had fermented the cabbage without it being in a liquid base. We loved it, though, and I'd love to find it that way again :)
That's a good article, too. I'll have to read it all when I get back (bank, store, errands ;))
103. I never realized it, but I usually buy sauerkraut without vinegar.
Bought the Whole Foods brand - "Ingredients: Organic cabbage, water, sea salt." Basically the same as other brands I've bought, whether using organics and sea salt or not. I looked at the big name-brands in the "regular" grocery the other day and decided against them immediately, not for vinegar content, but corn syrup content. You don't put sugar in sauerkraut ;)
I should have a little this morning. I do drain it, though, because otherwise it's a bit salty with all the liquid...
I'm sitting here reading this as I wait to hear that my daughter is out of surgery and doing well. They decided to do a laporascopic surgery. In through the belly button, cut up the tumors and the uterus, ovaries and do a complete hysterectomy vaginally. this way there is less bleeding because they cauterize as they go, and a quicker recovery and home time.
I'm trying to keep positive thoughts, and you guys seem to be helping me stay calm and focused on a wonderful outcome. I'll post again when I have news....In the meantime, thanks for all the hugs, and keep them coming!! I'm visualizing her surrounded by her Daddy and a host of Angels guiding the surgeons hands. You packed more wisdom and love into your brief opening than I could have in a page or two.
Have been meaning to write that previous sentence since you posted this thread. Yet it's kinda tough to type with one's fingers crossed. That's been my pretend excuse for not writing and posting more since Saturn bore down on my first house stellium, most recently almost stationing on my Mercury this spring.
Welp today I actually started a semi spurious thread in GD on a whim. . .
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=389&topic_id=8913696
The wombat made me do it I swear.
Then I was reminded of something I scribbled almost a year ago while overt bigotry was waxing in the nationally contrived dialogue. My scribbles from then sort of mysteriously reappeared recently though I've not yet deciphered them.
"Anyhoo" maybe someone poured some etheric acetone on my fingers or somethin' to get them uncrossed and unstuck. I only hope I'll find uplifting words of clarity and brevity such as yours in the writing roll that may or may not be hovering.
Have been lurking on this as all prayer threads and sending great love to all as ever.
57. can i whine?
i hurt. I hurt all over, all the time and in several different ways often at the same time. my new doc is just getting to know me and trying to straighten out one thing at a time esp. when my digestion (ibs) is so intolerant of just about everything so first it's the gut. Probable ulcer and i finally agreed to the endoscopy since I don't have to drink puke and diarrhea inducing medications to prep for it. There is ONE count 'em ONE female gastro in the state and if I am lucky i will get in within the next two weeks. all medical people give me panic and stomach cramps but female ones slightly less. kinda like Shelob vs mirkwood spides ok?
I tested out anemic so doc put me on iron supplements. I got the pharmacist to show me the box so I could check for things I don't digest or am allergic to and it was clean. all good until I took it. OMG. it burned worse than the last time I tried tylenol. the gut is bad enough without that so I am gonna have to stay anemic until they dx and treat the ulcer or whatever the heck that is going on in there.
Doctor did not want to go into what she thinks is probable fibro (esp. with both birth mother & maternal birth grandmother both having it) until the probable ulcer is cured but did ask me to consider Cymbalta for the pain. It looks like it is related to prozac which 1 dose of drove me out of what mind I had as a teen or as the doctors quaintly put it 'increased self-harm behaviors'. I don't really remember but my Mom said i yelled and hit my head against the wall all night. I don't think I would dare take any related medication like that. then I read the other common treatment is muscle relaxants like baclofen which I have been given in the past when my back went into hideous spams. Turned me into a zombie that bumped into everything and made it hard to think straight when it didn't put me to sleep. crud again. I want to feel *better* not feel numb or flip my lid. I am trying to get more functional not less. universe help me.
58. Oh dear. . .
This is a link from a good site that someone kindly posted in this forum a while ago.
http://www.earthclinic.com/CURES/ulcer.html
I empathize totally with having adverse reactions to pharmaceuticals and always have had similar experiences on the rare occasions I've resorted to using them. I attribute those reactions to my big bad attitude towards big pharma but in truth, I feel that different substances work to varying degrees on various metabolisms.
Those of a more sensitive nature often don't do well with substances refined down to white powders as they are just too strong and no longer in a natural botanical matrix that mollifies all those g-d awful side effects.
DISCLAIMER: I'm not a doctor though did I slept with one for a while and I only have a dry rotted old medical degree from the Lance & Leech School of Medicine from the 1500's but I flashed on essiac when I read your post. Dunno whether it was just an associative flash or pure guidance.
Although it's mostly used for cancerous conditions, I've heard many, many anecdotal stories of it ameliorating GI conditions (especially chrone's disease) as it seems to aid in assimilation.
Hoping you feel much better very soon.
Always enjoy your contributions.
60. Thank you
one of the issues I am having now is I can't eat any fruit and only a few vegetables. Well I can eat them but they don't stay there long enough to do me any good even with immodium, immodium and more immodium. doc wants to see if there is something besides the ibs at work (just in case) but i can't bring myself yet to put my poor innards though the prep as yet.
glutamine helps
zinc carnosine which is used in Japan along with antibiotics to cure ulcers helps
potatoes help
probotics help the ibs but not the gut
fennel helps nausua a bit and relieves the incessant burping.
I haven't taken nsaids in years when I read of how they can cause ulcers. I tried one tylenol last year and it hurt worse than the monthly cramps I was trying to fix.
I haven't taken digestive enzymes for a couple years when I found I digested as well with or without 'em and only used enteric coated ones when I did use 'em.
Essiac might be something that would heal my gut but with the way my lower digestion is right now I don't think it would stay long enough to help.
So for once I am going to the doctor hoping she finds something that she can give me course of antibotics and get this over with.
and good luck with your medical journey!
I really don't want to be pressured to try drugs that sound even worse than what I am going though now. what is the use of relieving pain if it turns me into a zoned out zombie? back when I used the baclofen I took 1/2 or 1/4 doses so I wasn't immobilized by the back spasm and could stay awake but even then I was numb and bumping into things. Thank the Universe those bouts usually only lasted a week. I can't see the use of going on anything like that even if it relives the pain because I will be less functional than I am without it.
71. Need light for a safe passage.
Westly is in the VA Hospital and on life support-has cancer, I'm asking for angels and light. He is a Marine, served 2 tours in Vietnam at age 17. Light to his mother and family (I've adopted her as my own mom at this stage of my life).
I need answers, real concrete answers, for what my body needs for energy & functioning.
I'm still tinkering with my thyroid-T3/prednisone dosage. My NP at the doc's office will not run the blood tests I'm asking for (Free T3/Free T4/Reverse T3) so I'm just guessing. I've already told her about adrenal burnout, months ago, and she ignores that too. She's horrified at the idea of giving me prednisone. I'm sleeping 14 or more hours a day - may be as simple as increasing the thyroid, but I don't know. The lack of information is quite frustrating as well as the lack of energy and motivation.
My husband will receive the petition for divorce today or tomorrow. Please send your protective energies to our son, who is in his father's care right now. I ask for this because my husband has difficulty regulating his emotions, and has been saying malicious things about me and sharing his feelings inappropriately. I fear that tonight and tomorrow may be particularly uncomfortable for our son, because my husband tends to turn off and dissociate when he is suffering.
Please send your loving and protective energy to J, and also to my husband, so that he can find a way to work through this without hurting himself or J.
him with loving energy. Also, for your husband, I ask the Universe to give him the wisdom and love he needs to make the best decisions for the highest good of all involved. Asking that you be given peace and strength as you deal with this difficult situation.
so this is a BIG hug to all of you loving light souls whom I am pulling for in ALL ways to have
82. my body got the best of me today
Edited on Thu Aug-19-10 10:25 AM by FirstLight
the arthritis can only be denied so long, and now I'm locked up from the waist down... my foot bones are even having little screaming twinges when i walk to the kitchen or bathroom...
so i caved & called in sick today. suppoosed to have friday off, and work again saturday. i hope i can feel better by then to get the bonus for the assignment, and i hope this doesn;t screw me with the temp agency. I told the boss that this was a very physical assignment, and I am not used to this sort of thing, so i hope that helps.
today, just need to see the chiropractor and RELAX, no house cleaning, nothing...just rest
i was just coming back to edit and add that I feel like a flake for not being able to complete the assignment. I was worried about this in the beginning, and thought I could knuckle under and make it work. but being crippled for the rest of the month isn;t appealing either.
I need to stick to desk jobs, that's all. and when i choose to move, move gently...
97. My mom drove me back to my Chiropractor
I love him! :loveya: He is also in my same meditation classe series, so he gets the same type of vibes and understands how the energy is moving out. he said we moved a lot of stuff yesterday, and it just got kinked up, and so he opened up my leg and I am working on my foot chakras and reflexology to keeo it moving out...lots of pictures too, so it is definitely spiritual as well. and myt mother's issues about health and my female stuff is coming to the forefront as well, so I get to deal with those patterns and breaking the old contracts...
whew! this spiritual growth and shift stuff is hard work! ;)
thanks for all your love and support and for being a sounding board too.
gonna call my meditation teachers that I have been avioding and get an appt to do some work this week too ;)
and today later we are heading over to the lake - i need to float in those healing waters of the mother! ahhhh.... I'll post pics on fb if i remember...
have you noticed that even when i 'take it easy' i am still going 100 mph? sheesh!
104. I (and my hand) need a lot of help
I've been making rosaries --- lots of rosaries --- in order to master wire techniques, and to get my online shop up and running. I knew my hands needed a break (wire isn't just hard on me, it is positively painful), but I kept on pushing. Then last night, at our joint birthday party no less (she and I are born only a few days apart on the calendar, so we celebrate together every year), as I was helping my friend get a bandaid on, something in my hand went "pop",and searing pain ran down the tendon of my right middle finger, all the way to the wrist, and my two middle fingers contracted of their own accord.
This morning it is still very painful and pretty much unusable, in keeping with my initial impression that this is real-deal, hard core tendon inflammation and/or injury that is going to requite a doctor's attention. Which, needless to say, is Not A Good Thing if one is trying to make money beading (I probably could,rather slowly, string beads even this minute, but it will be weeks before I can wire wrap again, and there's a lot of wire wrapping involved in beading/jewelry making). Given the amount of money I've invested in this, it's not any better for my finances than it is for my hand.
Usually I do well during mercury retrograde periods. I actually look forward to them as they seem good for my writing somehow. Gee, thank you, mercury retrograde in Virgo (virgo - crafts, mercury - hands). Though in all fairness I did need to take that break, And now it seems, I've got it.
Please be gentle with you, Oak2004. Maybe you and Peri can just BE for a while, as you recover. I hope you recover easily from this injury, without it requiring much intervention, and I equally hope you get the rest you need.
107. I'm sorry to hear you injured yourself, Oak.
Those kind of injuries are often the most painful and debilitating. Thankfully, they do heal, and often faster than you think :)
I don't know if you have the book or have ever seen it, but I highly recommend to everyone in owning a copy of the healing book "Prescription for Nutritional Healing" by James and Phyllis Balch. My copy is the second edition, but there's a third edition out now.
Anyway, under their section on "Sprains, Strains and Other Injuries of the Muscles and Joints" I find far more information than I can repost here. However, as your injury happened last night, one of the "helpful" supplements you can take now is calcium and magnesium, preferably together (the magnesium helps the body to better absorb the calcium.) Dosage is 1500-2000mg of calcium and 750-1000mg of magnesium, daily. Also mentioned are essential fatty acids, grapeseed extract, multi-vitamins, potassium (99mg daily), silica (500mg daily), Vitamin A (10,000 IU daily), Vit. B-complex (100mg daily for stress), Vit. C (5,000-20,000mg daily), Vit. E (400-1000IU daily), and Zinc (50mg daily.)
Most of those are for tissue repair and regeneration, though the Vit.E is for free radical scavenging.
Also recommended is to consume plenty of fresh raw veggie juices, including beets, garlic and radishes. That's also for vitamins and enzymes.
After the two pages of nutrients! there are some recommendations, mostly about not getting into this kind of situation to begin with ;) but also what to do when it happens. Such as if there is significant swelling to have it looked at by a medical profession or emergency personnel. Once the swelling has subsided (usually after two days) then soaking in warm or hot water will help relieve prolonged pain.
Aromatherapy is mentioned with cold compresses and the essential oils of camphor, chamomile, eucalyptus, lavender and/or rosemary. Add 10 drops or so of essential oil to one quart of cool water and use the mixture to make the compress.
The last thing is to use some stretching exercises before and after any physical activity like this. I don't know what you can do, but maybe someone with yoga or martial arts knowledge can help there.
Okay, longer post than I expected, but I'll also do some violet flame healing for you, too. Rest up and take care now :hug:
117. Vertigo Day 12 - Saw PA, Awaiting Referal to ENT Specialist
Never have had vertigo for more than 2-3 days before. My doctor was booked so I saw a nice Physicians Assistant who couldn't find any signs of infection. She is referring me to an ear, nose & throat practice that specializes balance disorders. I am hoping they will have an opening soon in their nearest office that is only 30-45 minutes away instead of hours. I am trying to take the least amount of dimenhydrinate (generic Dramamine) I can that keeps me from retching & falling over while still allowing me to think and remember important things like how to spell my name when signing forms at the doctor's office. More travel means more vestibular adventures requiring stronger doses. while the mind numbing aspect was helpful in keeping me from panicking when I went in for the endoscopy last week it also means reading and rereading things before I can absorb information. or forgetting to eat or eat enough until i am terribly depressed from low blood sugar.
I also agreed to go in for the colonoscopy if they could get me referred to the lady gastroenterologist at the same practice I had the endoscopy. I have put this off as I am already having massive digestive upset daily. The thought of deliberately taking the crud one has to to prepare for the colonoscopy and wondering how many days after it will continue to torment my poor innards is frankly horrifying. probably couldn't contemplate it if I wasn't partially zombiefied by the dimenhydrinate.
oh I got the official results today from the stomach biopsy - normal. no h. pylori. no cancer.
119. i was really hoping for a plain old fashioned ulcer
it would be so much easier to take a course of antibiotics than achieve enough inner peace and equlibrium to cure a nervous stomach. the endoscopy doc said I just need to be calm and not worry as if that was easy to do. so frustrating. at this point I expect another diagnosis of ibs which many docs think of as not real or just 'all in the head' - the female hysteria of the 21st century. and the standard treatment is of antidepressents several of which I had *very* bad reactions to and muscle relaxants that leave me a zombie like dramamine does. it took me nearly 30 minutes to write the post you replied to it is so hard to think. i can stand a few days of mental vegitation but I can't stand the thought of living like this. at this point I still would take the pain vs shambling around struggling to put a sentence together.
127. Some light for my friend
My Scorpio friend has been through hell this year and is now suffering from depression (which is being treated professionally, but things do not seem better). I so wish he could find the person he was and be happy again. And I also wish he'd let me help him (he keeps going "underground" saying he's a burden and I can't seem to convince him that he's not. He always feels better after talking to me. It's getting him to talk to me in the first place that is so hard.) And just when things start to look brighter, something happens that sends him backwards. He truly can't catch a break. :( (BTW he's 29 going on 30 -- Saturn return?)
(((((Thank you))))))
