I have always believed that reincarnation was the best explanation for children so young having musical gifts beyond what they could possibly have acquired in their time during this life. I think that sometimes something like a musical gift is so ingrained in the soul that it isn't forgotten in the trip back through the veil. Just my opinion.

And an amazing talent. As a guitar player myself, I say DAY-UM she's good--that isn't easy even for adults who have been practicing for years nonstop.

I also agree that for me, reincarnation as the reason for a child being able to play an instrument with proficiency without lessons (or with very few lessons)--or paint, or what have you. It's like they pick up where they left off. Makes more sense to me than the "freak coincidence" explanation. :)
