Between age-related issues, the intense energies we're bombarded with, and how our activities of daily life impact our health, I'm more confused than ever about the possible causes of discomfort and dis-ease.
I will say that I ABSOLUTELY believe hormones are an integral part of how we feel, especially (obviously) in the perimenopausal period but even at other stages of life. How to keep them truly balanced is the question. I'm working on that myself. ;) I think it is a very, very individual process though.
It seems you are really proactive about your health which is GREAT!
In addition to the progesterone cream (which, personally -- for now -- helps my hormonal balance) and adrenal/thyroid supplementation, one supplement I think I've been in dire need of and have been missing is vitamin D.
Of course, there's much talk about vitamin D and how we're all in dire need of this supplementation, and how it affects our immune system. Specifically D3, which is what I'm taking now, between 5000 and 10,000 units a day.
I find this goes in cycles and I never quite reach the ideal regimen, as in the process of balance one thing something else gets imbalanced! It drives me crazy, I tell ya!
I hope you feel much better soon!!!
