I think I have figured out the Queen of Cups.
It's the power of the fighting feminine spirit, the Amazon warrior, embodied in the women who oppose what this government is doing that will bring these evildoers down. Think about it, it's the women who have been confronting this maladministration, not the men, with a few exceptions like Rep. John Conyers. From the women in Congress like Senator Barbara Boxer, to the Congressional representatives, like Maxine Waters and Louise Slaughter, who is attempting to force Congress to appoint an independent investigation into the NOLA/FEMA mess, and many more.

It's in the media women like Randi Rhodes who has no problem calling them a bunch of Nazis or Maureen Dowd, whose columns have been very critical of Bush, and of course, Molly Ivins, who never had much use for Bush to begin with.

It is in citizens like Cindy Sheehan who have the audacity to question this maladministration and make them accountable for their actions. It was the women who performed civil disobedience yesterday. It was the women who were arrested, Cindy, Medea and the rest in their company.

Finally, there is Mother Nature herself, venting her fury. I think Bush's administration is going to fall to girl power. Anybody else see this picture emerging?

2. I have not read Da Vinci Code
Does the book talk about that card as a "clue" to the Mary/ Grail thing?

3. Yes!
I first got the thought with Valerie Wilson scandal and then Cindy comes along too. I think it's going to take us women to clean up after these messy men!

4. I think you could be right.
Certainly the Neocons represent the absolute worst in male arrogance and foolishness. The possibility of a woman President in '08 (I mean also the way it's seriously discussed in political circles) would seem to show a rise in the worldly power of women.

Has that card been coming up a lot for you?

6. Yes, it has and often in reverse, which means it's
not the nice domestic Queen of Cups either but a more Amazonian warrior Queen of Cups. Others find that she shows up frequently in their political readings too.

11. fascinating difference we have in interpretation :)
i see the queen of rods reversed as either the traditional reversed concept or when her charitable nature is suppressed, bringing out the fighter as the fiery amazon warrior, the sassy lass. rods being action, enterprise, fire, etc.

other feminine fighter concepts, for when one's better nature is forcibly suppressed and now struggling to right wrongs, i see for the other suits as follows:

queen of cups = the enraged mother
queen of swords = the crone irate (granny weatherwax :D)
queen of pentacles = the matron, madame cheated of her due

not good or bad, just different takes.

7. The next two hurricanes will be named Stan and Tammy.
Any predictions that Stan will head out harmlessly into the ocean, and Tammy will be another humdinger?

9. I thought that too, at first, but

on second thought I think maybe the Queen of Swords, in the context of a real person, would be a woman great intellect, a genius, but not someone of worldly power like a politician.

10. yes, i said as much a while ago.

i'm not getting all reversed queen of hearts, but enough to balance out that she's far from happy right now. i've even got a few empress to drive the message home.

i don't see the 'amazon warrior' as much as the 'mother' broken-hearted and enraged. and between the two, i'd fear the mother more. utterly relentless and righteous, the fury of the meek if you will. but otherwise we agree. it's a concept, not an individual. it's the counterpoint to the testosterone poisoning afflicting our world.

and i believe you mentioned one of the more interesting additions to the list: Gaia.

as is said, hell hath no fury...
