A restless night last night around here...
I had trouble sleeping; that's unusual for me. I woke up about midnight, and read and dozed and read until about 2:30 in the morning, worrying about whether I'd get any sleep at all before the alarm went off at 4am.

About 2:30 I got up to use the bathroom; on my way back, my 5 year-old grandson was standing in my bedroom door, looking frightened. This was more than "unusual." He NEVER wakes up. He sleeps so soundly that, once he's "out," he's not coming back "in" until he wakes up on his own; there is no waking him from the outside. His bedroom is at the other end of the house; he came all the way across the long dark house alone to find me.

I took him back to bed; by the time I got there, the dog, two cats, and his dad joined me. We were perched on his bed, and he said in a little voice that he "didn't want to be alone." Dad stayed with him until he fell asleep, and the rest of us went back to bed, where I also fell asleep. To dream. To dream in restless "vignettes" about well-loved friends many miles away. One pulled me out of a river. One showed up for a surprise visit for Christmas, and I cried tears of joy, not realizing how much I'd missed her. The setting kept changing; first my real house, then several places I'd never seen before in my life, all of them my "residence." By the time the alarm went off, I was wandering from room to room finding strangers camped out all over the place; people I'd never met before. One woman got offended when I asked her not to smoke in my living room.

I woke up wondering what was going on to bring on that level of tension and restlessness in our normally peaceful, tranquil home. I felt like the place was hosting visitors, some welcome, some not, during the night, and it was our awareness of their presence that brought on the restlessness.

Anyone else have "visitors" last night, or did we somehow manage to attract some special attention?

1. I had a very wierd, but nice dream last week.
When I was five, I was given my first set of pastels by an aunt. I drew a picture of "The Butterfly Pond", since for some reason I thought butterflies came from a pond. In the picture, butterflies were flying out of the pond, resting on pastel trees, or on bunny heads, deer antlers, etc. My Grampa loved it so much, he made a frame for it, and kept the picture over his chair, until he died. My Grandma gave it back to me after his funeral.
In my dream, I was INSIDE that picture - with my Grampa!!! It was a very vivid dream, filled with detail, but the most important part of the dream was that I was sitting beside my dear, sweet, darling, most FAVORITE family member, who kept hugging me, and telling me "everything would be all right". It won't, but the comfort of that dream has kept me from losing it - so far, over going blind.
I have sensed "visitors" in my home for the last two weeks - my bedroom feels crowded, and my cats keep attacking the lace curtains that I have covering my mirrors. Plus, they are "studying" empty corners.
So, you're not alone. ;-)

2. wow, sounds like Day of the Dead is early this year !
both your posts sound like Ancestors visiting. That's good stuff, nothing to be afraid of. Put out a glass of water or their favorite drink and a candle and say 'Hi'. Ask them for advice or help.

3. How do you make Apple Jack?
Hard Cider - my Grampa made it every year, much to me Grandma's dismay.
That would bring him back, and it's the right time of year, too!
I need advise, too - thanks, kineta! :hi:

5. Yes, I am going blind, sadly.
I got the news last week. Two problems, actually. One was a "rogue blood vessel" (that's what the Eye Doc. called it), growing into the retina, and leaking blood into the retina. They lasered that, but there's a 50/50 chance it will grow back. This caused "bent" vision, with a red haze, which I tried to ignore. I even told my husband I wouldn't see a doctor until it began hurting - only to literally fall down from sudden pain, the next day. There isn't usually pain with this, but it was the only reason I called the doctor, at all.
The next day, I had emergency eye surgery to correct that, but during the course of the examination, they discovered EXTREME macular degeneration in the left eye where the blood vessel was growing, and moderate degeneration in the right eye. The left eye will fail, and soon(we're talking a year, at most, he said), but the right eye will last longer. They can "help forestall" the blindness, but as of now, there is no cure. They say it is because of my Diabetes, and the fact that this eye was repeatedly injured.
But, my Grampa says it will be all right, and he was as honest as a man can be, and not the kind to offer false hope. So, I'm going to go find a recipe for hard cider, and ask him to return! Thanks!

It's funny, but I have been sent a message repeatedly over these past two weeks- and, now I know why!

The message is that "I should be passing this info on to someone who's losing their sight", and I believe it is meant for YOU, dear.

http://www.drday.com/

N.B., eight years ago I had widely disseminated cancer when I discovered Dr. Lorraine Day's story. Having worked in clinical medicine for 17 years, her story touched me and started me searching for what would make me well.

I Pooh-poohed much of what she and others said, even while I got busy doing the very things she advocated. To make a long story short, I embarked on a nutritional regimen that in less than 5 weeks brought me to the place where I was cancer-free. This TOTALLY convinced that
ALL medical conditions can be COMPLETELY reversed. I've seen those with MS, diabetes, cancer and more become well in short order! The words "chronic" and "terminal" are just made up by 'us' medical professionals who don't have the answer.

It's quite simple and it really works!! Please, take heart and know that this is not hopeless!

And know, too, that my prayers go out to you!

12. Oh, THANK YOU, Quakerfriend. I will try it!
I saw my Uncle go blind, and know what it did to him, so I intend to do whatever I can to keep this from happening. I also believe what you say about nutrition, so I will definitely check this out.

Thank you so much for sharing this - I think you're right - it was meant for me!

15. Oh Anj!!!! I am SO sorry to hear this!
I really am....damn....but you know, I think you should believe your grandfather....I have been thinking more & more about how we manifest things in our lives...good & bad and I am convinced that we can change anything, not always easy or immediate...but where intent goes, energy flows.

I love the advice Quaker friend gave you :hi::loveya: Quakerfriend

I guess right at this moment, I am saying don't give up or give in to what the doctors prognosis is. It is YOUR body, your creation after all and I think it can me "created" healthy. You get enough others to believe it too and it aids the energy for manifesting that. Don't buy into the blind idea.

Remember, you have all of us here who will do some serious energy work for you.

Don't give up!!!!!

Great dream btw.:) I love the butterflies from a pond....

Have you ever read any of Michael Sharps books or checked out his website( www.michaelsharp.org )? His Book of Life explains a lot ...at least to me, about how things really work in the universe....

7. Earlier this week I had a dream with my grandfather
Edited on Wed Sep-28-05 02:21 PM by FreedomAngel82
I had been praying to God and to him about missing him and I had a very weird dream. In the dream I was at some hospital looking for my brother (I think in the dream he was a patient or something). I found my mother in a room in a hospital bed and went and visited with her (she was the same age she is now in the dream). While I was talking to my mother my grandfather showed up in the bed next to her out of nowhere. Apparently I was the only one who could see him. My grandmother showed up and I asked if they could see him but they couldn't. One point my grandmother left the room for some reason and my Mom was sleeping in the bed so I went over to the bed next to her that had my grandfather there and I hugged him (although I don't remember feeling me touch him but I do him touching me which was weird) and we talked just like old times. I remember him and me saying goodbye and I knew I was leaving. :( I was really sad about that but was thankful for the visit I had. In the dream I seemed to know he was there to visit with me after I realized nobody else could see him. I know this may sound silly but I felt really special that he came to see just me. I also wanted to add my grandfather was my favorite family person too. For some reason I felt more connected to him soul wise then anybody else in my family. I know he reminds me of my soul father and they're so much a like.

9. Wow. I remember you posting about your Grandfather,
and it sounds like his spirit visited you, too. So, what do you think it means, both for you, and in the larger sense? I wonder if others have been visited by their ancestors, too as it seems...like maybe they're all trying to tell us something. It sounds like your Grandfather wanted to comfort you, too. Does this mean the spirit world is being affected by our distress, and they're trying to comfort us - I didn't seek out my Grampa, but he's the one person from who I could accept comfort then, and the one family member I totally trusted. We shared that soul connection too. I think you should feel special that he came to you - that's fabulous! O8)

PS: I don't know how to send Reiki to myself - I've just started reading about it.

14. Timely indeed!
On the way to work yesterday morning, I realized that I'd left the front door open that night to let fresh air in; Indian summer made the closed up house feel stuffy, and it was a cool, comfortable evening. Last night I closed the door, and I don't remember dreams. I can feel a sense of "visitors" still; familiar and friendly. It's as if closing the door symbolically closed the door to the uninvited.

Without knowing that I would be, I found myself in class telling stories about my grandparents yesterday; both much loved and long gone. Talking about how much I loved and missed them, and some of my favorite childhood memories with them, brought them close again. I seem to be drawing many of those people who have been important in my life around me at this point.

And so are others, as I read. Whatever we are drawing together for, it is a comfort to me to know that I am not alone. This "Lone Wolf" has spent most of her life dealing with crises alone and taking care of everyone else's needs. Maybe that's part of it; a reassurance that I'm not going it alone.

6. Everything normal here
Sounds like you had some people come to visit you. Maybe the others unwelcome came with the others or just popped in or something. Everything for the most part was fine for me. I had trouble falling asleep but I think it's cause I was so tired from the previous week and stuff.

13. Timely, timely, timely....
For the past few days, I've been "visited" by a man that I was absolutely crazy over for 7 years, who died of cancer in 1997. He was a person who, from the first private conversation we ever had together, we both felt an incredible connection. A "soul" connection. There is no other "soul" I've ever connected with that has the same "feel" to me as this person did.

In the past few days, he has just showed up, talking to me, saying things I understand clearly. It has happened when I was driving down the road, or sitting at my computer, or watching teevee. It has been nice to see him, and the thought has crossed my mind that I wondered if I was about to "cross over" or something. Kind of like, wondering if he was preparing me. It did feel like he was there to reassure me in some way. The things we "talked" about were mostly just karmic closure type things, between him and me...not anything ominous or morbid. In fact, he was kind of teasing me about things, joking like, at times.

I'm in fine health, happily married now, and very busy at work, and I don't have big PLANS to change anything about my life. But I have been feeling something very electric in the air -- a shift in the world energy, I think.

We shall see what comes from all of this!

:grouphug: In the meantime, I'm sure glad we have the Astrology forum!!! :loveya:

You guys are such a comfort in this crazy world!

:kick:
