Numbers, numbers, numbers

Been seeing a lot of "special" numbers over the past couple of days: 11:11, 1:11, etc. Even woke up in the middle of the night for no reason, only to see my very special 3:33 staring at me from the digital clock! Anybody else? I'm not sure why it's happening so much now. Anybody got any insight? Guesses? :hi:

1. You've read Doreen Virtue, right?

She talks about numbers a lot. I think she even wrote a book about it -- I may even HAVE that book, though I'd need angelic guidance to find it. ;)

Basically, she says it's your guides' way of getting your attention and to FOCUS when you catch yourself noticing numbers. It's not necessarily that the different numbers mean something special, but that it's simply Spirit's way of getting your attention and triggering you to pay attention to your thoughts.

On a different note, I'm admittedly a "Star Trek: New Generation" geek. I just watched an episode in which they were caught in a temporal anomaly...the whole spacetime continuum thingie...and Data sent himself messages in the future via number triggers.

Who knows? But 11:11 has always been very powerful for me. There are books written about the 11:11 Doorway, too!

4. I have that book.

I was a bit disappointed by it, though. Despite having 1000 numbers to work with, it's basically numbers 1-10 repeated throughout. In other words, 3, 33, and 333 have pretty much the same meaning. For example:

3 : The ascended masters (such as Jesus) are near. They've responded to your prayers and want to help you.

33 : Many ascended masters surround you and assist you in all ways. They've come to help you with your mission and to answer your prayers. Tune to them now, and ask them any question you wish.

333 : You've merged with the ascended masters, and they're working with you day and night--on many levels. They love, guide, and protect you in all ways.

I have read that she's re-writing the book, so I figure I'm not the only one that noticed this repetition ;)

The other thing I do remember from the book without looking it up is that when you have a number longer than a set of three (like 5426, 12345, 654321 and so on) to break it up into the longest set first. So, 12345 would be interpreted as the two numbers 123 and 45. 1111 is an exception, universally recognized as 11:11 and often denoted as the opening of a portal. Seems like I've also heard it said that you make a wish when you experience this number, and we could all use more of that! :D

Oh, you can use the "Angel Numbers" book like an oracle, too. Just open it at random and take the definition that catches your eye first.

OGR, you should look for the Stargate:SG1 episode "Window of Opportunity". It's a famous "Groundhog Day"-type episode and lots of fun :D

And I've read a lot about the 11:11 portal. However, I've always believed that special numbers have different meanings for different people, so I take Doreen's explanations with a grain of salt (much as I love her). I don't doubt her definitions, but I still think that the numbers--and the actual occasions of seeing them--have to be interpreted personally.

So now I just have to figure out what these numbers mean to me, and, more important, why they're suddenly showing up now.

14. don't look at your dashboard!

I'm a number catcher/watcher too. There's my bedside clock, the date and time display on my computer monitor, and two odometers plus a clock on my dashboard. License plates. Billboards.

Numbers, numbers. All. day. long..... I try to remain cognizant of what I am thinking/doing in the moment when a number comes into my consciousness. But I don't know or try to learn the "meanings" of the numbers. I just trust that they're there, and a sign that my higher self knows what it's doing.

2. Hey, I had 3:33 last night, too! Wow...at almost the exact same time.

I've been following numerological "clues" for a while now, and usually, they're just things I notice. Just another part of being In the Flow, if you will. But what I've noticed this last fortnight in particular in a change (increase) in the frequency of significant "number moments" and new number combinations (for me, anyway.)

I'm happy to see someone mention Doreen Virtue; I like traditional numerology for interpreting number moments, but Virtue's Angel Numbers book is interesting, too (if you can get past the ultra-New Agey vocabulary she uses, which is irritating).

I tend to notice 3:33 showing up during times when friends and friendships take on heightened significance, and sometimes, just before I make a new friend.

I have always seen number clues fairly regularly, but this past week it's been nonstop--VERY different vibe.

9. Ain't that the truth!

I am definitely being knocked on the head. Not sure why, though. Ah well--I guess it'll all become clear. (Last night before I fell asleep I asked for an explanation and then woke up at 2:34. Not exactly an explanation--more of a "snerk" from the Universe! :P )

5. The part about waking up in the middle of the night reminds me of something

by Dr. Wayne Dyer, from his CD set "The Secrets of an Inspirational (In-Spirit) Life". I can't remember what he called it exactly, but this is the time of day that is the quietest, not just in the outside world, but in your mind. I think he said it usually happens between the hours of 3 and 5 am. I'd like to take advantage of this 'effect' too, as he said that's when he does his best writing :D

I used to wake up at 4:43 pretty regularly and then go back to sleep. If I can get myself asleep earlier, I'd love to have that kind of quiet time, especially from my motor-mouth cat! :P

10. I miss being able to stay up half the night

I always did my best writing then too! Of course, that was way back when I was single and responsible for nobody but myself...and I worked retail, so I never had to be up early--! Day-um, being a grownup can suck sometimes! :P

6. it's been happening to me for a couple months now

don't know what meaning there could be. It just suddenly started happening. A lot of 11:11s and 10:10s. I think a 3:33 a couple of mornings in the last week or two, too...

12. What does it mean when you see your birthday numbers

in a lot of places?

13. According to Doreen Virtue, anytime you see patterns or

repetitions, the numbers are significant. Maybe, by seeing your birth numbers, the angels are wishing you happy birthday. But those particular numbers might have meaning in your life. If you want to give me the numbers, I'll look them up.

15. I've been seeing my birthdate (month & day) quite often as well

Have been wondering what it means -- it's been happening for about a year now. Thought it meant something big was going to happen on my birthday, but that has long since passed (6 12), so I don't know. Still seeing it though. If you figure it out, please let me know.

16. I'm constantly seeing 11:11 and 4:44. There are a lot of theories

on the reasons for this. I've never heard the one about our Guides getting our attention...very, very interesting. Something really weird that happens to me is when I buy something, 9 times out of 10, the price ends in either a 1 or a 6. For example, if I go to 7-11 the total is $9.71 or if I go to Trader's the total is 48.36. My theory: I've always heard that when you get a lot of pennies back, it means someone who has passed who loved you a lot (my grandmother) is thinking about you and is always there for you. When I was younger I used to get pissed off 'cause I was sick of getting all these pennies (I DO mean it has happened 9 times out of 10 for over 20 years)! When it happens now, I smile.

17. I have also seen my birthday show up a lot.

I kept seeing it for months but lately I haven't seen it.

I thought it meant I was being guided by someone for whom my birthday was significant, like my deceased mother.

19. I seem to glance at the clock when my birthday numbers are

there, too. I dunno what it means, but have a feeling that it's a wake-up call of some kind. I try not to let it mess with my head too much, however. :-)

25. Today is my daughter's birthday.

The one that teaches in NY State (Elmira)! She's away this time every year at a teachers conference, and I haven't been able to speak to her yet. I'm noticing numbers a lot lately too. I wonder how many gallstones they saw on my ultra sound? Think I should ask??? From your response on FB it sounds like you've had them? What do I need to know about them ....diet wise? I've only spoken to my DR."s "technicion" not him. Should I resrict certain foods? I heard Dr. OZ say this AM that horse radish was good for the gallbladder. My husband's gallbladder surgery is what killed him, so I'm finding this bone chilling news. My Dad couldn't walk at the end of his life..I'm getting there. My Mom had no mind left...getting there too, and now this???What the freak???Am I bringing all of this on myself? Next back procedure is two days before Thanksgiving.

Wow--does your daughter teach in the Elmira City district? I taught in Elmira Heights for one whole year. Yeeeeccchhhhh hated it. Your daughter has my utmost respect. That's a VERY tough area.

I have never really done enough research into gall bladder treatments, as my attacks are very few and far between--usually only when I eat too much (small meals are better for me) and too much high-fat food. I went for one ultrasound but it was scheduled so far after the pain subsided that there were no stones to see. But I'm pretty sure I passed at least one before they got around to checking me.

I think there are other gall bladder sufferers here on ASAH--maybe they can share some of their techniques for keeping the attacks at bay. And I wouldn't worry about having gall bladder surgery if that's what's needed (although I have read differing opinions on that--some say that even if you have it out it doesn't help much, but others disagree)--I don't know when your husband had his surgery, but lately it's so minimally invasive (pretty much laparoscopic) that it's practically an outpatient procedure.
