Please send healing light. Thanks.

ETA: Woah. Now that is weird. I could have sworn I posted this in the Nov Prayer Thread, but it popped up as a new thread in this forum. Strange.

2. Ouchie
Do you have an aloe plant or even some aloe lotion? If not, get some, and start spreading that sucker around. Sending healing juju for you also.

As for it popping up as its own thread--I guess it knew you needed immediate attention, and a fresh thread will provide that!

Be well, BI.

4. I second the aloe suggestion....
While it's best to apply immediately, it has healing properties after the fact.

I send abundant hugs of healing your way, BlueIris!!!

5. Thanks, everyone. I'm feeling okay (no blisters). We are out of aloe,
but I went with cocoa butter. I will probably get some aloe later today.

...uggggghhhhh. My hand got splashed as well. Damn klutziness.

8. Welp, I'm on the aloe now. So far, my situation's not too bad.

No blistering, just rawness.

Just a tip: Don't make coffee before you're at least a little bit awake. It doesn't always end well.

10. Sorry to hear that this happened. I'm glad that things didn't get really bad.
I'm sending healing energy now.

I've done something very similar in the past. :(

11. Thanks, I Have (and Missy.)
I'm just happy it isn't blistering. Dr. isn't too concerned, either, so I think aside from the discomfort, I'm alright. It's a good thing I sleep on my left side, though.

12. Fire Burn Doctor
Have you ever heard of this? I've heard a couple of interviews and testimonials. Since they sort of describe the method, I now do it on my own. Burns go away immediately.

13. Would you mind sharing with us?
I couldn't figure it out. Might be because I'm so exhausted from helping my friend move yesterday and today, or something, but I couldn't spot the method used. Is it similar to energy work?

Thanks in advance.

15. Yes, it's Energy

I'm just not sure how I do it. The interview I heard is here >
http://rense.com/
Use your browser search function on that page. Search for 'fire'. It should find the link in the left column. There are two MP3s right beneath the fire burn doctor site link.

Listen for her (the guest) talk about our primitive fear of fire. According to her, that deep, primal fear is responsible for the suffering we endure with a burn. If I burn myself, I dip the affected part in cold water and remind myself that fear is not needed. Or something like that. When you're feeling more rested, the interview might give you what you need.

The Fire Burn Doctor site also has some videos. I don't think they address method, though.

21. When I first read your thread and request I did send healing energy your way
Sometimes I just do what's needed and I don't post a response. But I wanted you to know that I was thinking of you and sent right away.

I'm glad things are better. Burns can be painful and usually they don't last very long once the initial healing takes place. On especially on the chest OUCHIE!

23. Reiki and my recent burn
I burned myself over the weekend on the handle of a cast iron pan, I immediately squirted Aloe on it then rembered to try to put my little dab of reiki one to use. It was a very interesting experience, I felt the energy in the hand I was using to treat the burn intensify over the burn until it was like that palm was burning more than the injury. I sat holding the burn like that until the energy in my palm went back down, and the pain of the burn had lessened greatly. I don't have a blister and barely a touch of sensitivity with the burn. I have burned myself on a pan like that, right out of the oven, previously and had a big, nasty blister to deal with for days.

24. last year worked at a conference center

i always used apple cider vinegar on cooking burns before. it doesn't make a mess so you can keep going, but it doesn't do much to soothe after the fact

at the cc, we had lavender essential oil, and it is awesome

plus it smells good

all cooks should have some handy. a little dab'll do ya :)

and sorry about the coffee burn....:(

25. Update: scorches are healing nicely. I think the aloe/cocoa butter helped,
as did all the nice thoughts from folks here. Other things that may have been beneficial were this new thing I found--Rescue Remedy in gel form, which I've been using after my showers. I also used chrysocolla, a rock I sort of felt guided to buy last month. I thought that was just about some resentment issues I'm having, (chrysocolla soothes resentment over past abuses) but evidently it speeds up healing from burns, too.

I wonder if there is an energetic connection between healing from resentments and getting burned?
