Taurus Full Moon - November 21, 2010
Taurus Full Moon, November 21, 2010
“Finally the truth. . . .Harry understood at last that he was not supposed to survive. His job was to walk calmly into Death’s welcoming arms. Along the way, he was to dispose of Voldemort’s remaining links to life, so that when at last he flung himself across Voldemort’s path, and did not raise a wand to defend himself, the end would be clean. . . .:Neither would live, neither could survive.” J.K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

I love the synchronicity that has the last Harry Potter movies opening just before this full Moon in Taurus. The tension between Taurus and Scorpio is that of life and death, for Taurus celebrates the return of life while Scorpio releases what has died. The tension is also one of values and integrity vs. selfishness and domination. Like Harry’s final revelation about Voldemort, the real solution to the problem of evil/the Shadow is to release the darker emotions within ourselves. We need to let go of the pain, the insistence on being right, the resentment, the hurt of betrayal. These are the emotions that feed the Shadow and produce evil deeds. In the end, it is our choices about how we use our unique energies and talents that will make the difference in our lives. And we can’t make conscious future choices if we’re unconsciously carrying the past.
This Taurus Full Moon on November 21, 2010 (12:27pm EST/ 9:27am PST) is at the last degree of Taurus, the culmination of the sign, where we either ‘get’ the essence of the sign or fail to. So this full Moon we have the essence of the Scorpio Sun and the Taurus Moon, distilled and refined, lighting up a new awareness if we can attune to it. It is up to us how we choose to work with these energies.

1. Absolutely wonderful!
Thank you so much for sharing this here, wickfordbard.

This reminder is so important:

"We need to let go of the pain, the insistence on being right, the resentment, the hurt of betrayal. These are the emotions that feed the Shadow and produce evil deeds."

Thank you for so clearly stating this and for all of the other wisdom in the article.

5. Dream last night
In it, I said to another person, in reference to the full moon, "The air feels different now. We've moved on (forward)."

Still ruminating on this and the other details of the dream. :hi:

6. Re: your dream
When we hear something specific like that in a dream, it's your soul letting you know it's true. Something new is upon you! Congratulations. Hopefully it's for all of us as well. :)

:)

I'm still trying to figure out what this dream meant. Time was all messed up in it--I was younger and single (Mr. MG was nowhere to be found). I had a boyfriend (this was the person I was speaking to) who was helping me solve a bit of a mystery that has niggled at me off and on for many years: When I visited England in 1993 I spent a couple of days in York. My friends and I poked around in what turned out to be a VERY haunted church (but then again, what corner of York isn't?)--powerful energy in there. And I saw the stone lid of an exterior-layer coffin (stone that would have encased the wooden coffin I think) leaning up against the wall with a strange symbol on it: It was a cauldron with a large X across it--not crossing it out, but part of the symbol. There was a circle on the top of each part of the X (like crossed bass drumsticks).

I took a picture of it, and when I showed it to an archaeologist friend back home, she said it was probably a "trade symbol" (but she didn't know what sort of job it symbolized). However, I really felt that it was an image of Bran's Cauldron of Rebirth, and I wondered if it was another example of the meshing of paganism and Christianity. I've tried to find some proof of that, but not even the existence of the intertubes has helped (yet).

Anyway, in the dream my boyfriend was helping me figure it out and said he could prove that it was indeed the Cauldron of Rebirth. I replied that if he could, it would solve a mystery that had been bugging me for ten years. So that would put the date of the dream at 2003. I have NO IDEA why time would be like that.

Very strange. Very strange.

On edit: I do like the symbol of rebirth popping up, though. That was not lost on me! ;)

10. Re: cauldron of rebirth
Dear Morning Glow,

So what happened to you in 2003 that has to do with re-birth? Also, the cauldron is really Cerridwen's cauldron - Bran just had it from her as the King would have the Goddess' blessing. So it is a feminine symbol of rebirth. How connected are you to the feminine side of yourself? Also, X marks the spot, so with two circles on top of the X, is this about you and your relationship? How can you revive it, or rebirth it?

Just some quick thoughts - I have a client coming in the door.

Bye!!!

11. 2003? Oh, nothing much
except my dad passed, my son was born, I had to get a new job (that I HAAAATED), and we were settling into a new house (hated that too) that we moved into at the end of '02. Like I said, nothing much. :D

(WHY did I write Bran? I know that's Cerridwen's cauldron! Honestly, I don't know where my head is at these days! )

Anyway, thanks for pointing out the date. I will have to think about this some more... :hi:

9. Okay, this full moon has been a bit interesting
I've fallen flat on my face twice and even have a skinned knee. People my age never get skinned knees. We are more likely to get broken bones. Thank goodness I didn't break anything. I am a Scorpio sun sign. Coincidence?

I was really into this full moon because of taking photos of it last night and the night before, after finding the M setting on the camera. Tonight cloudy, though.
