2012

[AC_Mem]

I'm a new-ager so have been aware of the Mayan Calendar 2012 information for years. I've been thinking deeply on this lately and think that indeed there may be an "end" coming, but I think it is an end of an age, not the end of the world. We have gone through the stone age, bronze age, iron age, industrial age, steam age, space age, nuclear age, cybernetic age - I wonder if we are going to be given a choice to live in a state of fear or a state of love; a type of transformational age of the flow of energy.

If you understand chakras, or the body's energy centers, the bottom 3 are "earthy" (survival, reproduction, will to live) and the top 4 are more aligned with our higher selves, the best in us.



Crown/Violet - Connection with higher self or Creator, highest ideals
Third Eye/Indigo - Clear sighted, seeing beneath the surface, seeing into the future
Throat/Blue - Speaking your personal truth
Heart/Green - Love, compassion/passion
Solar Plexus/Yellow - Will, "gut" instinct
Sacral/Orange - reproduction, creation
Root/Red - survival, ancestors, fight or flight

I think that there are those who exist primarily in the bottom three chakras, which have allot of fear attached to them. My theory is that we are now beginning to break through the heart chakra and move into the upper chakras. This is difficult for so many because it involves letting go of the earthly FEAR of everything and moving into our future selves where we have the potential to be move in line with our highest selves. Our hearts are breaking watching the world around us today and that might just be necessary to move up into our better selves.

Our highest selves care about our planet, want peace, want to help those less fortunate, want to see the very best in others. Our earthly ego-selves are fear ridden, see hidden agendas, are greedy (due to fear of what we have being taken away), care about self at the expense of others and are survival-based. Moving backwards feels safe to those who worry about losing the things that made them feel secure.

To make the decisions that must be made to take care of our planet, we must move into a more heart-based existence. The polarization that is going on right now in our lives makes more sense when you consider that it is almost a spiritual earthquake going on in humans to ascend our selves into more caring human beings.

President Obama appears (to me) to be a facilitator in this transformation. He is either loved or hated, he brings out the best in some and the worst in others. His presidency has created the transparency that is necessary for us to make a choice to move into love, or to remain in fear.

Harnessing the higher energies may just lead to discoveries that could change the world as we know it.

I've read an awful lot about 2012 as well, and I find it deeply fascinating on so many levels, and like you I think it's the dawning of a new age, but I have never read anything about the connection of the chakras, but it makes perfect sense. Thanks for the insight!:hi:

I think that you just might be right -- we each have that very choice to make. It seems like such an easy choice, but so many of us are carrying a great deal of emotional baggage. I hope that our higher selves are able to break through to clearly "speak" to our ego selves.

I think this is exactly on the money and it really resonated deeply with me. Letting go of fear is profoundly transformational and of course really difficult for so many of us.
