Does anyone here in ASAH have a need for help with presents f/their children?

In the spirit of Santa Claus, I thought I'd ask. Maybe if there is a need, we could get together privately and do something about it.

And if not here, then maybe we'll check oustide in the main areas..there's already one person who posted in GD to offer the same thing, which inspired me to ask. If anyone knows of anyone who needs it badly; do tell. And don't be shy to ask, either.

ADMINS: I'm not trying to run an unauthorized fundraiser, I wanted to ask and if there are any results, we can take it off-site or private if that is what is needed.

3. I can help with Tie Dyed T-shirts.

But since I have to make them it probably won't make it by Christmas. Its a little late. :(

I have three medium size T-shirts in stock.
Two are for females because alot of men are shy about wearing a Peach,pink,purple spider :( and one t-shirt is a planet that can go to either gender.
I can get those ready to ship now. :)

5. I dunno, still think somehow i can make it

i had $300 for presents, but after gas in the car this week, etc, i am down to like $180...
we have a grocery outlet and a ross, so i 'should' be able to get through it, wish we had a dollar store for stocking stuffers though
and i think that santa will just have to 'forget' mommy this year ;)
my teen supposedlystill owes mne some rent, so maybe that will help, too
...i am honestly more worried about getting through that last week of the month AFTER cmas and gas in the car, phone bill, etc...
but i hate asking for help, so i am just putting out into the universe that i will find carzy bargains and make each dollar stretch wisely

on the radio when I visited Austin last week.

A Central Texas non-profit that works to make sure every child has a gift under the Christmas tree hit a snag. Operation Blue Santa’s donations are down compared to last year, which has organizers surprised and scrambling.

They receive about a third of their toys from the Chuy's Children Giving to Children parade. Organizers said they got about ten percent less than expected. So, Blue Santa needs folks to fill up those donation bins with toys to make sure up to 15,000 children receive a gift.

The story reported that they had "no" donations. Volunteers, but nothing to pack.
This is a local charity. There may be others in you all's county.
I helped with Angel Tree one year. Called to ask what the child wanted (from a parent). I couldn't stop crying for awhile. Very touching to touch those who have acknowledged their needs.
