1. Time to make predictions for the New Year?

I'll give it a stab. I really think the new House of Representatives is going to be a three ring circus this year. No psychic impressions are needed here. It's the mix of the irrational new Tea Party members along with the other crazies like Michele Bachmann who will be in the majority and to top it all off Sir John of Orange calling all the shots that's going to be very scary and entertaining at the same time. I predict President Obama will become exasperated with these events as they unfold and will try to reach to the Senate for solutions. I think Harry Reid will shed his milquetoast image and become more forceful especially with the intransigent 'party of no' Republicans. I think he will change the Senate Rules sufficiently to end the way filibusters are done. He was very aware that the only reason he won again was because Nevadans held their noses and voted for him because Sharron Angle would have been a very bad choice.

There will be more damage to the gulf this summer but this time from Mother Nature who is trying to restore balance from the oil spill. In order to do this she must destroy before she creates anew. Crazy weather patterns will continue through the year, but industry will stubbornly still insist that there is no global warming and little will be done about it from that end. Laws will have to be passed in other countries addressing this before we catch on and make our own laws to rein in this era of unbridled greed by destructive corporate behavior.

There is a new leader for social progressive coming into view. It will be a few years before he comes into his own and bursts on the scene as someone who can reverse this trend of the global, business elite that is choking humanity and the environment. However, we will start getting glimpses of him entering the public arena this year.

There is more but for now I will stop here and am curious as to what others see coming in 2011.

2. I have hesitated to do too many psychic predictions for '11, but

here are a few things that have come through to me in the last couple of days.

The Admin is in big trouble, and not just because of the far right influences in the new Congress. I won't post any more about that, except to say I wish it luck in explaining itself to the people.

I see a greater spotlight on the epidemic of diabetes in the U.S. this year, possibly some new advances in treatment. I also see more attention paid to epidemic of arthritis, a problem which will continue throughout the Pluto in Capricorn years. I'm also getting the sense of some new discussions in child health news, focusing on childhood asthma and other respiratory difficulties in children. And, of course, there will be more controversies over vaccine safety for children and adults.

Don't have any predictions about the stock market or terrorism, except to say that I think serious problems with those things won't hit us until 2012/13. I'm thinking 2012 for the next major terrorist event, 2013 for the next major market fluctuation.

On a related note, I was very surprised to get the vibe that a leading American politician will actually come out against the airport scanners and invasive pat down procedures in our airports.

As I've posted elsewhere, I have the sense of major restructuring in the Party this year, including the resignation/removal of Tim Kaine as chairperson. Don't know who will replace him yet.

3. No predictions, just a funny personal dream...

This one was so odd and...entertaining...that I had to share, just in case there is a message in there somewhere.

In the dream it was present day, and I was here in North Carolina. Mark and I were getting married. Now, I have no intention of actually getting married again, with a wedding and everything, but I'll never say never. I'm perfectly content being perpetually engaged.

In the dream, we were indeed getting married. Oddly, there was a Wizard of Oz theme to the wedding; I can't say I'm a huge fan as so many others are. Of course, I like it; I just don't watch it faithfully year after year.

I was wearing this gawdawful "yellow brick road" chiffon dress, as were my bridesmaids. And the quartet -- my daughter's quartet was there, in yellow chiffon (lol!), singing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow."

That was quite lovely. :)

I remember getting such a kick out of the guests, who I kind of knew in dream state but didn't ring a bell in real life. Most were little people (again, Wizard of Oz), dressed as biker dudes - :shrug:

But it was a festive, if slightly chaotic, atmosphere. I was looking forward to it, and we were all busy building the backdrop to the wedding stage, again to mirror The Wizard of Oz in some way. It had the feeling of having been thrown together at the last minute.

I've entertained the thought that, if a miracle were to occur and we ever went to Vegas (I've never been; then again, I haven't been "away" for fun in like 18 years...:rofl:), I'd think about getting married there. That would be a hoot. I checked to see if they have a Wizard of Oz chapel, but didn't find one.

Like I said, just sharing for the heck of it.

4. I had an odd dream last night...

... about a volcano opening up under my front yard. That's the simplest description of it, at least.

It wasn't a terrifying mound of flame and destruction, just a little hole (no more than 6" across at the most) sending heat and smoke up into the air. The grass and trees around it weren't even scorched. The hole was at the base of a particular tree in our yard with a couple extra smaller trees that aren't there in reality. My family was aware of it but not acting upset or anxious about its presence -- it was just there and we had to accept it.
I then remembered that I had a report to write (I'm not in any classes) and stepped outside to take pictures of the hole. Took snapshots of it from several angles, even going so far as to lay down on the grass for a ground-level view (but stayed a good 10 feet away to avoid being burned). I stopped once the camera got hot -- I could actually feel the heat against my hand -- and went back inside. After that the dream ended.

Not sure if there's any particular meaning to the dream, but it was very interesting for the tactile sense of the hot camera.

5. Uh-oh. Did a re-meditation on the question of when the next

terrorist incident would happen here and got...um...soon. Like January/February soon. On the bright side, I get that "they" (national security groups) manage to stop it. On the not so bright side...more terror? Not good. My guess: Eastern seaboard, probably NYC (again.)

8. How about the attempted assassination of Arizona

Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords today? I believe the terrorists are home grown, but terrorists nonetheless. It wasn't the Eastern USA but you only guessed that anyway.

10. I confess...I didn't really pick up any intuitive blips about the GG shooting

at all. Which even I am a bit confused about. I chock it up to being primarily focused on my own problems and national crises within the next one to two years. But usually, tragedies this big don't pass me by so completely.

I've redoubled my efforts to send healing energy to Ms. Giffords and the other victims. I really hope there are no more fatalities.

I agree that the assassination attempt constitutes terrorism, though. But I also confess, I don't feel it is the incident I was picking up on during my last meditation.

7. Just wanted to share something unusual.

On my way back from the library the other day, I was pinged to take a slightly different route. About 20 feet into that direction, I noticed two entirely white pigeons huddled in the doorway of a church. About thirty feet further on, a single entirely white pigeon on a curb, basically ground-level as well, right along the sidewalk. Huddled up against the chilly weather. Looked at me and tucked its head back to its wing, didn't flee or make to flee...I wanted to pick it up and take it home to get it out of the wonky weather (unusually chilly for SoCal) but I knew it would peck me in protest...I've read that the spiritual meaning of pigeons regards family, and of course, the white dove means peace and the Holy Spirit..although they were huddled against the cold, I've not to my knowledge ever seen pigeons taking refuge at ground level where anyone can get at them, much less three entirely white pigeons within a single block. There -are- some entirely white pigeons around here, but I have never seen more than one in a single place...some will scoff at any "meaning" to this, but I was moved and humbled. "I needed that."

Spirit IS present. The rest is up to us.

11. The tragedy in Tuscon has become a significant spiritual event.

As one fine ASAHer put it, Rush and others are beginning to circle the drain. This is how Change begins, how we seek to rise to higher levels and to maintain them. A search for a better way of how to live...prayer to all involved.

12. Had a vision of the person I think is going to be our next SCOTUS justice.

Early this morning: time, about six a.m.

African-American; late fifties, I think. Very serious, with a refined quality I associate with the Air signs. Raised in the South or Southeast, I think. Female. (Beautiful woman, really.) Pedulum says she was born under the Sun sign of Libra, in the year 1956, and will probably be nominated later this year.

I saw her speaking against a black background, like in an interview room with someone like Charlie Rose. Can't wait to see if she is in fact a new justice for us.

13. Last night's dream

My dream was filled with spiritual imagery and I just had to share it.

I was riding the subway with two others and one put her ice skates and skateboard on the floor next to me. I had a feeling she was going to ditch us and leave me with the skates and skateboard; she knew I would take care of them.
She ditched us and I took the skates when I got off at the stop. I wanted to stop so I could tie the laces of the ice skates together and make them easier to carry.

Later we got the message (a phone call?) that the woman who ditched us had left to serve The One. (I never use this phrase to describe the Divine.)

The next scene I recall is I'm with others in a circle and we see butterflies floating, dancing in the center. We were awestruck.

Next scene I enter a festival of cherry blossoms; a friendly nun lets us in. I see the pink blossoms everywhere. Beautiful. Someone (maybe me) picks up one of the blossoms on the ground and it is a small pink butterfly and it starts flying. Again I'm awestruck and just watch the magical beautiful image.

It was a beautiful dream.

14. Lots of dreams lately, of a personal nature

All of them have been some variation of "packing things up" and organization. I can see that being important in my life right now.

15. the past two nights have been really vivid for me too...

....night before last .... I had a dream that i was trying to fix a broken table (of course i could do this because i used to hang with my dad as a kid in his workshop and learned alot about that kind of stuff) I went to my dad and asked him for the materials, standing in his workshop...i could smell the smells, and see the place so vividly, even though my folks sold that house a few years ago. My dad would not give me the materials unless i offered something in return as collateral...wood glue, well, what are you gonna give me for it? a hammer? what will you give me for it? like he didn;t trust me to bring the items back or something...
then the end of the dream we were dealing with putting him in a home, because he has lost so much of his memory...and he was going to die.
I looked up the meaning of the table and it is associated with groups/families...and broken means there is discord. I haven't really gotten along with my dad on a deep level, ever...but we haven;t been 'friends' since i was a little girl and used to play in the workshop. (by the time i was 10-11 and started having my own ideas, it was all over)
I can see the items i wanted to 'borrow' as the pieces of wisdom I wish he would impart to me, before his brain becomes so much swiss cheese... I have often said to my mom how sad it is that he is so brilliant and that will never be shared...because I am a girl and he won;t teach me all he knows...

the next dream this morning was about my children, and protecting them from something..and then a wedding....but i can't remember anything else.

maybe the mooooon is imparting the messages to us...I need to get a journal by my bed and pay attention!

16. My dreams lately have been pretty messed up.

Last night's dream was so disturbing I almost asked for support here upon waking. Basically, a sociopath I stumbled into was molesting his daughter, and when I confronted him about it, he tried to kill me. I had to run to escape from their house, leaving the child behind, and lived through a scene out of The Shining trying to navigate my way through this maze of shrubbery the family had growing around their property.

The most disturbing part of it was calling the police to tell them the child was being assaulted by her father and getting the "but you have no evidence" run around from them. I woke up crying. Awful.

17. Welcome to the cleasing of the deep deepies.

Self-destruction now becomes the logical result of those thoughts and energies. Self-hate now produces self-consumption. Fear begins to ping itself, regardless of external input. Broken faith begins to become a deal-breaker. That which a thing is, increases.

Those with choices to make on such matters should get to it, and to request spirit assistance and willingness (with grace and ease, of course). Often simply admitting such feelings will result in their release, or the beginning of their release.

As always, the most important thing you can have is a relationship with God, or one of the Great Avatars and God through that. This is most especially true if you are beginning to fall through the cracks.

19. Something very strange is on the horizon.

And I'm sorry to say, I don't feel it's positive.

Some things that have come through to me in the last couple of days...a flashback to John Kerry's 2004 concession speech, in which he referred to the dangers of the deep divisions our society was living with, and his fears that they could grow beyond the point of repair...an owl (I've had a lot of owls and owl energy around my life lately, come to think of it...an odd, hostile energy in the world at large, and the sense that the next Pisces Moon is going to be bad.

As strange as this sounds, I feel like a shift has already taken place, and the TPTB have yet to inform us of it.

24. Change occurs most easily, the more minds are involved.

Items such as the Giffords shooting have caused a large spiritual change in the country, even if it is not yet fully visible. We are more determined to have a country in which such things do not happen, and/or are understood/healed/prevented before a problem may occur.

We can grow from everyone carrying Hope (we did for two years) and now, back for some polarity swings and the associated determination to do better, to be better, to paraphrase the wonderful words of Gifford's husband.

Trouble brings out our compassion and opens our hearts. Makes us determine to be better, to live better, to seek a way to live more in line with the positive.

23. Volcano

I had a strange edge of sleep "vision" last night of a volcano erupting over a very green, tropical location. Smoke was belching into the air and it also exploded, but hadn't yet threatened lives or homes at that point. It was like I was watching it from a few miles away. The area was warm and beautiful, the volcano itself had a forrest growing on its slopes.

25. Personal dream, but..

last night (early morning of 1/25) I had a dream that I was spinning a giant dreidel that was see-through. There was a large brown bear in the middle and I just remember hearing, 'You've been spinning this for 53 years'. Really weird.

27. AND another one

Warning: It's getting close to Imbolc and the annual arrival in my life of Brigid, my favorite goddess, so I'm gonna be getting LOTS of messages. I'm used to it and braced for it. :D So what's up with this one?

I was going to be on a reality sort of TV show. I was with three guys. We were all supposed to roll down a big hill, and at the bottom we would be given our heart's desire/whatever we wanted. So we all sat at the edge of the hill and got ready to roll down. We were supposed to get started by someone (a producer? a giant? LOL) literally lifting up the turf like a blanket and flicking us down the hill. After a couple of false starts, we were properly flicked, and we had a great time rolling down the hill.

When we got to the bottom, we sat around in a circle, resting, and having something to eat. I got a small bag of Sun Chips and ate some even though I don't like them very much. Then the crew started handing out our "heart's desires". I had a thing for one of the guys I had rolled down the hill with, and felt very hopeful, even though I wasn't sure how they were going to put us together. The guys got beer and other stuff, and then two blondes in bikinis showed up. One cozied up to one guy, the other to the guy I liked, and I was really upset. What was worse, I never got anything, and pretty soon the crew acted like they were done, and walked off to strike the set.

Finally the third guy (with no chick) asked me what had happened, and I told him I didn't know. He asked me if I had filled out the paperwork--we all had to complete and sign some papers, including listing what we wanted, before we started to film the show. I got even more upset and cried that I never got any papers. The guys all felt bad for me, but there was nothing they could do.

So I ended up choking down the Sun Chips and had nothing else.

Later it got better--the dream shifted to this cabin we were all sharing. I had MG Jr. with me and he was laughing at the guys clowning around, and we were like one big family (no sign of the bikini chicks either--apparently they were temporary and not part of our family). I still liked the one guy, but he was oblivious to how I felt about him, although he liked me as a person. I still didn't say anything and apparently was just going to pine away silently or something. One of the other guys acted very paternally toward me--always looking out for me and making sure I was okay--and the third guy (the one who mentioned the contract) was only "half there", always distracted by something else.

!! Okay woah. I just noticed that I typed "contract". Does anybody else think that the paperwork represented a life contract? I got the feeling that rolling down the hill was like astral projection/flying. And maybe the cabin was the location of our soul family--? If that's the case, then maybe this was a lesson that sometimes we don't "get" our heart's desire in a particular lifetime, but it doesn't matter; what does matter is the love and laughter on another plane with our soul families. Whaddya think? :shrug:

29. Well, I realized

that the "heart's desire" stuff was very trivial (beer, chicks, etc.) Like what we think we want doesn't transfer to the other plane, and we don't miss it. On the other hand, I already had MG Jr. in my life, so he wouldn't have been on my list, if that makes any sense.
