111 year has interesting oddity: Take your birth year...

(last 2 digits) + the age you turn this year.

It equals 111.

It's true for all examples I can come up with.

is Michael Schneider's "A Beginner's Guide to Constructing the Universe: Mathematical Archetypes of Nature, Art, and Science"

Unbelievably well written and easy to understand. Mind-opening. :hi:

I love teaching kids about the "magic" number 9--how you get 9 every time you multiply 9 by a number and add the product's digits (eg 9 x 8 = 72; 7 + 2 = 9) and the mirroring of the 9 times table (1 x 9 = 09 and 9 x 10 = 90; 2 x 9 = 18 and 9 x 9 = 81; 3 x 9 = 27 and 9 x 8 = 72 etc.) On and on and on. They're always fascinated (and for good reason).
