One of the programmers just finished a key, though very complicated, feature at Wishadoo!: the ability for a group to have their own, private Wishlist area.
The
Wishlist itself is public, showing a variety of categories.
With this new feature, a private group -- such as ASAHers -- can post their needs, wishes, offerings to a category created just for ASAH members, and only members can see those listings.
The private ASAH Wishlist category isn't even visible to those not members of ASAH.
Since it's a private group, when joining Wishadoo you'd have to contact me (I'll be your first "friend" upon joining :)) to be invited.
I'd like to play around with the various group features so I can give detailed feedback about how it's working. They don't have to be "real" listings, if you don't want, but just anything in order to see how the process is working for different people, using different browsers and such.
I'd like to play around with the other features in groups, too: forum, events. I can remove test posts and listings later, but I'd really appreciate feedback from you guys.
Thanks. Oh, hopefully the other huge thing that remains -- separating out the domains, so the "old" Wishadoo site will be wishadoo.com (where I can launch other projects :)), and the new Community site is wishadoo.org -- will be done by tomorrow. Until then, click here to get directly to the
new Community site.
