Americas to be Hit With Catastrophic Earthquake in Next Two Weeks?
I heard about this report on the Mar. 10 Coast to Coast so I Googled it and found an article posted at this r-w site. Regardless of who published it, the report itself is credible and is something we all should read and if necessary, act on. If you read the article all the way through, you will note that the U.S. Army is taking it very seriously and they are acting appropriately.

Furthermore, one of the quake predictors, Ken Ring, predicted the recent Christchurch earthquake. The article explains his methodology and applies it to what's going on now with the planets Jupiter and Saturn in relationship to the sun.

More ominously in this report are Russian scientists confirming the independent analysis of New Zealand mathematician and long-range weather forecaster, Ken Ring, who predicted the deadly Christchurch quake and this week issued another warning of a quake to hit on or about March 20th.

Those of you who follow the planets will be interested in this discussion:

Ring explains his methodology for predicting earthquakes as follows:
“The planets very much affect the earth, indirectly, by having an effect on the Sun. Some planets are very large. If the Sun was a basketball the gas giants Jupiter and Saturn would be the size of grapefruits, and the Earth would be, on that scale, the size of a peppercorn.

Jupiter and Saturn cause extra tides on the Sun when they get on either side of the Sun (as with Moon – Earth-Sun when the moon is full) and when these gas giants get on the same side as the Sun, (as with Earth -Moon – Sun when the moon is new). These greater solar tides become sunspot activity and solar flares and can be understood as akin to the increase in tides caused by the Moon when it too gets alongside Earth or opposite Earth.

At the moment we have Jupiter and Saturn on either side of the Sun and creating a tug of war with Earth in the middle. That started last September and will continue until about May. In September the Earth was right in line with Jupiter, Saturn and the Sun too.

That’s why there were several 7+ earthquakes around, it wasn’t just us. For instance there was one in Pakistan on the same day as Christchurch. This Jupiter/Saturn alignment continues until about May, and the Earth comes back into line as well in March. It is why there may be an extreme event, perhaps a large earthquake, around 20 March, which is when the Moon may be again in a trigger position.”

1. the fish kill of California was likely due to a toxin
that results from red tide. Necropsy results were announced earlier today, but lost in the Japan news.

I see that the military is holding a joint training exercise at Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas that includes the CIA, DOD and State Dept. and Canada. The military holds joint exercises all the time, often with our allies. I see nothing to indicate that this training exercise relates in any way to this prediction.

I also am having a hard time understanding how, if Jupiter and Saturn are on either side of the sun, that leaves earth in the middle. Wouldn't that put us, kind of, in the middle of the sun?

Sorry....not buying any of it.

That doesn't mean there won't be a large earthquake in the next few weeks. The fact is if you look at the official earthquake maps, they are going on all the time. It's the occasional huge ones that catch our attention. I'd be more inclined to think there is potential for follow-on activity because apparently one big plate or another just moved in a big way.

3. read more carefully
I also am having a hard time understanding how, if Jupiter and Saturn are on either side of the sun, that leaves earth in the middle.

It is an interaction with the sun. "At the moment we have Jupiter and Saturn on either side of the Sun and creating a tug of war with Earth in the middle." Earth in the middle, in this case, is figurative speech, not literal, LOL.

I'm not selling anything, so it's irrelevant whether you "buy" it or not.

I, and many others, too, are well aware of the fact that the Army et al does training exercises all the time and that there are little earthquakes going on all the time, too. The "nothing new" argument is a logical fallacy. For example, the gov't was doing a training exercise on 9/11, too. How does that affect your argument?

I think the scientific institute and Mr. Ring are credible. Ring has a track record, Furthermore, the electromagnetic signals are something that's recently been noted as an accompaniment to earthquakes. Ring and the Russians are at the forefront of working with the signals, the article says.

5. I don't find it credible

I googled the Institute of the Physics of the Earth and, while I found the Institute, I saw no other news releases regarding such a report, except from "above top secret."

I googled Ken King and found a rapper and a doctor from Connecticut involved in NDEs. Nobody from New Zealand predicting quakes. Is this the same person who predicted a quake above 7.0 somewhere in the world last year?

This time his prediction is for a quake above 7.0 somewhere in the Americans, including S. America, Central America, California or the New Madrid Fault. He did leave out Oregon, Alaska and Canada. However, given the breadth and nature of the geography included in his prediction, I expect it will come true. There certainly will be one or more quakes over 7.0 somewhere in the Americas in the next 2 weeks.

"I, and many others, too, are well aware of the fact that the Army et al does training exercises all the time and that there are little earthquakes going on all the time, too. The "nothing new" argument is a logical fallacy. For example, the gov't was doing a training exercise on 9/11, too. How does that affect your argument?"

You're joking, right? First you claim that the exercise is evidence that the military is taking the report seriously. Now you say it's a logical fallacy to say there is nothing suggesting that the exercise and the prediction are connected?

The fact that earthquakes go on all the time makes it very easy to predict earthquakes. I predict the sun will rise tomorrow. Some places will be cloudy and won't see it.

Get it?

Btw, I didn't mean you were selling anything. They are selling a line, and I'm not buying it.

Modified to add I found the referenced Ken Ring. He's selling predictions. $30.00 a pop.

2. Hey NJCher...
My friend who channels and receives lots of information about earth stuff said she actually "heard" there would be another large earthquake within a couple of weeks. She didn't get where, but the pacific rim and possibly CA would be affected. I've also read about the March 19th "super moon" that makes earthquakes more likely. I keep getting the message to send light to Mother Earth to "soothe the transition". There's nothing we can do to stop it, but maybe we can affect the severity of it. BTW, the link sure is slow to load, I had it up for 15 minutes and nothing! lol.

4. that's interesting info, findrskeep
I was searching around the net, particularly at the forums at Jim Berkland's site, and the "earthquake sensitives" thread reported about 8-10 people posting that they heard sounds before the earthquake hit.

Berkland, for those of you who don't know, is the geoscientist who uses unconventional means of predicting earthquakes. He tracks the ads for lost cats and dogs, for example. He says when earthquakes hit, this number is always higher.

Remember how animals in the Indonesian tsunami headed inland? I can't remember which animal it was, though.

Re the slow load, I've had success getting it to come up by hitting reload. And I will email it to anyone who PMs me. I'm going over to my girlfriend's for a few hours now, though, but I'll check back later tonight.

And my husband is in California for a month on business. Honolulu, too. :(
His hotel is right on the beach. We're having a serious talk tonight over the phone.

10. I definitely heard a roar seconds before
the last one hit. I thought it was just me or perhaps coincided with military training exercises at Camp Pendleton. But no one else I spoke to heard it, then found out later there were reports of the sound countywide - not many but some people heard it.

Thanks for the article. I've been feeling tremors and seeing things like lamps vibrate all week but heard nothing on the news. The article pushed me to check the USGS and found there have been almost 30 minor ones this week in the area!

Will keep your husband in prayers for a safe journey, earthquake or not!

I am in Tahoe.
There have been clusters in reno since last fall, i think. up to 300 or more in a short period.

There's definitely change afoot. I was in the Loma Prieta in 89, worked in Hayward, lived in Oakland. (My sister and i were w/o power for five days and it was very strange. Now, living in the mtns. I have gone without for days at a time, we just crank up the woodstove and get creative cooking...)

Anyway, one of the things i have looked up is the pattern between the san andreas fault and the hayward fault...since recordings started in the late 1800s, it's about a 10-12 year cycle between the two. Loma Prieta was over 20 years ago on the san andreas...the hayward fault is really overdue. :(
Our old house down there used to be right up the hill overlooking the freeway, 580 lays right on top of the fault. :scared:

i don't have a good feeling about this, and i was looking at the 'supermoon' coming and thinking much the same thing.
between the solar flares and the moon pull alone - i am sure our magnetic core and inner plasma beneath the crust is being moved.not to mention bombarded with gamma rays.
...and i have also 'heard' (from my guides or from other memories?) that part of this shift is a return of MU, Lemuria, etc...that's why the ring of fire is so active, i think....

8. Sunspot activity
The correlation between sunspot activity and earthquakes is controversial, as is sunspot activity and anything. Funny, though, I remember when I was in grade school in the fifties I learned that sunspot activity was associated with weather events, at the least. So, that sort of comes in and out of favor. It is like the scientific flavor of the day that everyone is supposed to follow. Pretty sure that here in the USA the current flavor is that sunspots don't do anything much except cause auroras or knock out electronics in extreme cases. Yet, we all know they affect people energetically. That the large planets affect solar activity is news to me, but that should be exceptionally easy to test and prove. Definitely I heard Berkland say that the super moon thing created a window for earthquakes, and the Japan quake was at the very beginning of that window. To me it makes a lot of sense that tides could trigger earthquakes. Tides are just a tremendous pressure and amount of energy on the earth.

9. NJ Cher
There was a thread in GD a couple of days ago that I thought was a bit amusing. Someone said, basically, just because there was a big earthquake people don't need to spread bs stuff about the moon and planets. I was rolling my eyes already, and then came across one person who said, basically, that "the causes of earthquakes are very well understood" AND "we can't predict when earthquakes will occur". My mind was going :banghead:

At that point I stated that the post was an oxymoron, in that if the causes were well understood then we would be able to predict them. Wow, did I ever get jumped on for that. I wasn't trying to say anything other than what we know about earthquakes is incomplete, and that person's post was indicative of that. I pointed out that while plate tectonics might be known, that particular triggers were NOT known, and to believe otherwise would mean that they just randomly happened. I have no idea why these supposed "science" people believe that knowledge is set in stone and not evolving. Some of them don't want to believe that there is something beyond their knowledge out there. I do not understand their mindset, but I think it has to do with a desire for control. They were being illogical. I was trying to point that out to them without pointing to any specific theory of triggers.

The odd thing is, in science, I thought, there is ALWAYS cause and effect, and when there isn't, they do their darned best to contain it to a very particular narrow case. Yet, when they talk about timing of earthquakes, they want to believe that it is random, just because they don't know what the triggers are and because they don't want to admit that their might be something beyond their particular knowledge.

Here is the discussion.

17. Just to quote you before I go on:
"Some of them don't want to believe that there is something beyond their knowledge out there. I do not understand their mindset, but I think it has to do with a desire for control."

The way I perceive this mindset, thanks to that big thread in R/T, "Are souls, gods, or spirits made up of matter?", is that they are rock-steady set in physical reality. They can ponder dimensions other than 3D space, but no more than that. Plenty still don't buy the "String Theory", and I've seen many others on DU that cannot suspend disbelief enough to enjoy the likes of Harry Potter or other fictions. 3D physical reality is it! There can be nothing else :eyes:

I have a copy of Dr. Charles Tart's book "The End of Materialism: How Evidence of the Paranormal is Bringing Science and Spirit Together" but haven't really started reading it, other than looking at the appendix. It is one I want to read, once I just sit down and do so, but it's also a subject that would not "register" in the minds of the "3D-physical-reality-only" crowd. There will never be an end to materialism ;)

watch February 17th-20th. He felt there would be a magnitude 8 hitting the islands in the Okinawa region, but struck New Zealand on February 22nd. He felt a big one was coming in the March 5th/6th watch, his concern was for New Zealand, but struck Japan about one week later. He seems to be onto something correlating the sun's activity with what hemisphere/region a quake will strike on Earth.

He's an interesting earthquake watcher/predictor to follow. Thanks for the link, DeSwiss.

23. One of our cats is acting especially nervous.
We've noticed that whenever there's going to be a major earthquake in the world our cats get very nervous and agitated up to a week beforehand, peaking right as the quake happens. The bigger the quake, the more nervous they get. Mum still remembers the week leading up to the Indonesian tsunami because the cats were so intense.

Now, saying that this particular cat is nervous is like saying water is wet (I've always suspected that Doc is actually a theoretical physicist in feline form and her howlings are simply trying to express complicated formulas that our human brains can't comprehend), but Mum has noticed that she's been more on edge than usual. It's like she keeps checking in with us. "Have we made preparations yet? I think we'll be safe here, but we should really be prepared."

I haven't noticed anything with the others yet, but it's kind of hard to tell with the sudden upheaval we've had regarding my friend's situation -- we're looking after her kid during the day when she works so the indoor cats are more than a little freaked out by that alone. I myself can't shake the feeling that something is about to happen, and the North American continent is overdue for a major shake-up.

25. It's feels like after 9/11....
Heightened sense of anxiety; waiting for the next shoe to drop. No area seems especially "safe." It feels like the next event could literally occur anywhere...just like the fear many felt right after 9/11.

Very hard to figure out how to navigate within this world right now, with so much huge uncertainty. This must be what it feels like to have our feet in two worlds. One world still has "should's": we should do what is necessary to be able to buy food, pay for shelter, plan for graduation and college and other events; the other world is like, why? It's all falling away, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, it's just hard to figure out what functioning means right now.

At least for me.

Personally, I just really, really, really need a break from everything, for like a week. If the world stays intact and/or "lifts" and something gets easier, I look forward to a break in October. One moment at a time...

27. My cat Joe is acting weird too
now that you mention it. This is really weird. My cat Joe is sick, he has been very sick for well over a year. So sick that he has probably forfeited 4 or 5 of his lives. For over one year, we have had to wrap him in a towel twice a day and spoon feed him food. He stopped eating and lost over half his body weight. It has been a very hard journey with him but we didn't want to give up on his life. At times we have had to even squirt water in his mouth. I've done energy work on him constantly but it seemed like we would just have to do what we could for him until he decided to cross over.

Well about 1-1/2 weeks ago all that changed. Joe got hungry, very very hungry. He will eat 4-5x a day now and drinks over a bowl of water a day.

Oh, another thing. Joe is about 12 years old and I have NEVER heard his voice. We thought he didn't have a voice box or something! About 1-1/2 weeks ago, Joe started "talking", sometimes very loudly. Sometimes he just comes to me and seems to be wailing.

I'm sure he is picking up on my energy because I'm aware of all that is going on and he and I are very close. I'm checking him, he is not in pain - but there is something very very strange going on with my cat Joe.

I didn't put it together with the earth changes before but whoah - the timing can't be denied.

Shine on,
Annette

31. And here's another source, not r-w but she says five weeks
I'm a regular reader of Lasha's Mystic Stars & she has a special message this week

http://www.mysticstars.net
http://www.mysticstars.net/signs/dleo.html

The sky, I have come to understand, responds to everything. So much so, in fact, that even the smallest of questions lingers patiently until the stars, and the higher mind, gently reveals a pathway. Such is experience, such is life, such is the journey.

Lately, however, I have noticed a great trend of fear in the world. Economic woes, unprecedented wars, earthquakes, rioting, nuclear catastrophe: since early January the world has seemed to spiral out of control. And, I suspect, it will get worse…much worse. It's no secret: astrologically, there is a great change coming. Even the Mayans warned about it.

Over the next five weeks yet another turning point in the spiral will arrive. Watch for a massive earthquake in the American mid-west, near St Louis, migrating human populations, bizarre blood disorders in the southern hemisphere and extremely unusual magnetic affects across much of the globe. As the earth's magnetic field continues to shift our vision, hearing and perception will be dramatically increased or, in some cases, scrambled. It is, quite honestly, a time of great honesty and purification.

It is also a time of choices.

Be forewarned, however: there are hidden spiritual powers acting in this world that are working hard to influence your decisions, your intellect and your destiny. No event has been overlooked and, for many years now, no concept has been left unscripted. For decades terror, in order to derail our upcoming moment of spiritual enlightenment, has been cultivated, multiplied and systematically allowed to fester. Spiritually, we are being tricked and in the very near future we will, unfortunately, be encouraged to leave our very home. Don't be fooled. And, believe me, I have been warned against saying such things.

But we have come far and our decisions are simple. Fear or love? The choice will create the journey.

34. FYI
Uploaded by http://www.youtube.com/user/thebarcaroller">thebarcaroller- (AKA: TheSolarWatcher) on Apr 1, 2011

Moving into a significant celestial period that may produce several large earthquakes through to April 11.

Main coronal hole is situated in the southern hemisphere 16-18 Degrees south latitude. Possible areas at risk for a 6.7+ magnitude earthquake could be Southern Peru, Potosi-Bolivia or Tarapaca-Chile.

Other significant coronal holes that may be Geoeffective during this watch sits 7-10 Degrees south latitude. Possible areas that could receive a large earthquake are Chagos Archipelago Region, Carlsberg Ridge in the Indian ocean or the Solomon Islands region may also be in play.

Northern Hemisphere coronal hole expected to be earth facing April 5-6 sits at 18-23 Degrees North latitude, best fit mapped regions are Taiwan or Mariana Islands. there is also further possible volcanic activity in the region of Hawaii during this watch.

38. How does this translate in earthly terms?
I am afraid I am not knowledgeable enough to be able to understand how this impacts us.:-(

39. The information from NOAA.....
...is more or less a confirmation of the solar events (a level K-4 which is considered a significant event) that the poster of the video (SolarWatcher) has made in his latest video. He, (as well as many other more enlightened scientists and observers), are coming to conclude that the solar flares, solar storms, Coronal Mass Ejections (CMEs) and other solar magnetic events that occur upon and within our sun, have a direct and/or indirect effect upon our planet's liquid iron core, it's magnetic field and ultimately upon the tectonic plates of Earth which then can contribute to earthquake events. SolarWatcher further incorporates the movement of the planets in making his predictions about possible earthquake activity because of the effect their magnetic field plays upon the Earth as well.

- If you go to his http://www.youtube.com/user/SolarWatcher">channel and review some of the past postings he's made just over the past month or so, you may see what I'm referring to.
