Freaky experience......still wondering what it was.
Thursday night (actually @ 12:40 am Friday morning) when I went to bed, I felt like the bed was slightly vibrating, almost a humming feeling. It only lasted for a minute. Suspecting my daughter's cat was on the bed purring, I turned on the light to find she was NOT there. I turned off the light again & set my radio to an hour of Coast to Coast, as I often listen until I fall asleep. In about 3 minutes, they announced the Japan earthquake had happened.

Surely I wasn't "feeling" the quake all the way in Tennessee?!?
I live just over 100 miles from the New Madrid fault, but upon checking the USGS there was no activity there.
Also, am in the country, so no industrial activity is close by.

I'm still puzzled by this, but can't help but wonder.......what was it.

Even stranger, I attempted to post this last night, only to have my internet connection go down.
Don't know if it was solar flares, or simply a freak glitch by my ISP, but Uranus seems to be doing her thing!

You ARE in Japan

story:

My good friend was giving a energy exhibit on stage in CA in 1986
in the middle of the presentation, for no reason, she buckled under with a vision of Gaddafi holding his bleeding son in a white tent.

Hours after the event, she learned that at that hour, Reagan had just bombed that tent killing his son.

She is a particularly sensitive Pisces.
My belief is that you were there picking up the tremors. Einstein told us all space and time are relative.
Hope it's an elevating experience for you.

2. Thanks for the insight, Rick.
I'm taking it as a positive, but still a tad eerie.

I remember the Gaddafi's event. Always felt we created some bad karma for the US when that happened. Killing a diabolical dictator is one thing, but his innocent child is completely another. :(

Funny you mention the space/time relation....just today I was thinking about a neighbor whom I rarely saw. He was older & I was trying to remember if he had died, or if I had just "imagined" it. Then realized that it really didn't matter since he will eventually die anyway.....felt very in tune w/seeing the before & after as one. Hope that doesn't sound too morbid or insensitive!

3. I don't think it's morbid
I think we're just shifting away from being used to this rigid 3d universe and starting to see things like Jane Roberts and Seth
wrote about in the 70's as far as multiple dimensions. Trust your watery instincts! water is awesome!

8. SC, learning of Seth is where the scales.....
Edited on Sat Mar-12-11 10:27 PM by DeSwiss
...began to fall from my eyes back in 1976. A chance (?) meeting with two neighbors who lived in the apartment above me and who just gave me the book "Seth Speaks" because he said he thought "I would understand it." I did. I had met this couple only a couple of times in passing and after that meeting only once. And then one day they were just gone. Gone.

After I began reading Seth's and Jane Robert's works (try getting a copy of The Education of Oversoul Seven - it's really great!!!), the dots began to connect. I'd been researching religions (I'm a PK, remember?) and philosophies for about ten years up until that point and it was all beginning to seem just contradictory and fruitless. And after reading The Seth Material, Seth Speaks and The Nature of Personal Reality, it suddenly all began to make sense. Now since that time I've been waiting for everyone (it seems most of the time - :)) to catch up to me. As it stands right now I can't wait until all this is over and we can move on. 3D is sooooo boring!!!

Here are two passages that I think may be relevant now:

Now: give us a moment here. First of all, as a race, in the context of normal usage, you have considered yourselves as apart from the rest of nature and consciousness.

Your own survival as a species was your main concern. You considered other species only in the light of their use to you. You did not have any true conception of the great sacredness of all consciousness, nor of your relationship within it. You were losing your grasp of that great truth.

In the present circumstances you are carrying that idea forward -- of racial survival regardless of the consequences, the idea of changing the environment to suit your own purposes; and this has led you to a disregard of spiritual truths.

In physical reality, therefore, you are seeing the results. Now those personalities who are returning are doing so for various reasons. Some of them are drawn to physical life again because of these attitudes. They are those who in the past, in your terms, strove for physical existence without consideration for the rights of other species. They are driven to return because of their own desires.

The race must learn the value of individual man. The race is also learning its dependence upon other species, and beginning to comprehend its part in the whole framework of physical reality.

Now: Some individuals are being reborn at this time simply to help you understand. They are forcing the issue, and forcing the crisis, for you still have time to change your ways. You are working on two main problems, but both involve the sacredness of the individual and the individual's relationship with others and with all physically-oriented consciousness.

The problem of war will sooner or later teach you that when you kill another man, basically you will end up killing yourself. The over-population problem will teach you that if you do not have a loving concern for the environment in which you dwell, it will no longer sustain you -- you will not be worthy of it. You will not be destroying the planet, you see. You will not be destroying the birds or the flowers, or the grain or the animals. You will not be worthy of them, and they will be destroying you.

You have setup the problem for yourselves within the framework of your reference. You will not understand your part within the framework in nature until you actually see yourselves in danger of tearing it apart. (my emphasis) You will not destroy consciousness. You will not annihilate the consciousness of even one leaf, but in your context, if the problem were not solved, these would fade from your experience.

The crisis is a kind of therapy, however. It is a teaching method you have setup for yourselves because you need it. And you need it now, before your race embarks upon journeys to other physical realities. You must learn your lessons now in your own backyard before you travel to other worlds. (my emphasis) So you have brought this upon yourself for that purpose and you will learn.

~Seth Speaks, by Jane Roberts (1972) Chap. 12, Reincarnational Relationships

And I saw this (below passage) recently at Lightworkers.org's website. These messages can also be listened to http://www.youtube.com/user/Komurosan">here.

So many of you are weary, so many of you are impatient, so many of you are discouraged, and we ask you to go the distance. We ask you to dig deep, and to know that you are living a Cosmic Moment which is unprecedented. Yet there is the illusion of time, still in place for you, and you must still work within this parameter. Seek unconditional love, seek joy, seek peace, seek harmony, seek abundance. Visualize. Visualize and continue to visualize that which you wish to create, never wavering from that which is your great desire, that which you choose to create for your highest good and the highest good of all. Your reality will be transformed, and you will find that you are living heaven on earth. It is possible dear ones, and it is why you are here. You came to create heaven on earth, first for yourselves and then to assist your brothers and sisters, and all life forms. You came here to assist mother earth in the ascension process, as you chose to ascend with her.

11. I also love the Abraham-Hicks material
They are a channeled Group (Abraham, channeled by Esther Hicks). Seth is a a part of the group.

There are tons of excerpts from workshops with Abraham on YouTube, if you're interested...just type Abraham-Hicks in the search box.

Their focus is on how we individually can access our Higher Knowing, how Emotions serve as a compass we can use to understand in what direction our thoughts are creating, and many practical exercises for practicing deliberately transforming our thoughts. Very uplifting and makes a lot of sense to me; after all, mass consciousness is made up of many many individuals.

According to Abrahams teachings, Good-feeling feelings indicate alignment with Source and bad-feeling feelings indicate divergence from Source.
So, rather than submerging ourselves in horror and upset for Japan, it would be more powerful to focus on aspects of Japan that make us feel good (especially since most of us are not in a position to physically help out right now)

I just posted a mind-blowing experience I had on TheAbeList (a Yahoo group)--waiting for it to show up, but meanwhile....
Someone started a thread there listing things she LOVES about Japan. So I joined in, especially because of what I know from my mind-blowing experience. Here's what I posted, I hope this inspires!!:

I love Japan's ancient traditions!!
I LOVE Japan's spiritual understandings
I LOVE the Japanese culture's reverence for Nature
I LOVE the Japanese appreciation of BEAUTY and SIMPLICITY
I love Japanese caligraphy!
I loveeee Japanese woodcuts
I LOVE Japan's connection to the Ocean
I LOVE sushi!
I LOVE rice paper!
I LOVE Japanese architecture
I LOVE traditional Japanese clothing!
I LOVE modern Japanese love of Kawa-i....not sure if that's spelled right, but the love of "Cuteness" that's popular now!
I love Japan's culture of respectful treatment of each other;
I love the Japanese tradition of reverence for the elderly!
I LOVE Zen Gardens

This is the best idea ever!! Pulled me out of lurk mode!
I KNOW it's important, probably the best possible response we can carry out-----because I had an amazing experience back when the BP oil spill happened:

I was horrendously upset for the animals, and on my daily 1 hour drive to work, my focus was completely absorbed in my sorrow; I was sobbing, picturing the suffering..... for an hour every morning while driving.

Didn't take long to see manifestation: Animals started HURLING themselves into my car way before I could react at all. I have FAST reflexes and I'm very visually attuned to motion, so on the rare occasions when animals start to run in front of me, I easily slow down or swerve to avoid them---but this was unlike anything I ever experienced.

In over 30 years of driving, I RARELY EVER hit animals, but this started with one bird dive-bombing the front of my car as I'm going 60 mph, and increased every morning until after --I don't know maybe 4 days of increasing numbers flying or scurrying into my car, I had about 5 different animals--birds, squirrels, chipmunks--HURL themselves at my car in one hour. I'm not talking about running in front of the car, I'm talking about flying and running directly into it, as if they were aimed specifically at it.

That's when it dawned on me that I'd better change what I was thinking....so I started DELIBERATELY TALKING (to increase my goood feelings and hold my focus) to myself: Ooooh!! Loook at that playful squirrel in that tree!! Oooo so sweet, I love you! Ohhh look at that beautiful cloud! Ooooo how happy I feel seeing those birds flying up there!! Oooooooh, look at that lovely tree!!!

You get the picture.

The animal suicides immediately started to decrease until stopping entirely by about the 3rd day

So, the moral of this story is, definitely keep focusing on and FEELING WHAT WE LOVE.

21. No, I don't think I have CDs any longer....
In the different moves since I was first introduced to AH, I've lost tapes and CDs. :(

I just checked and see they have expanded TREMENDOUSLY. I think the original basic teachings resonate more than how they've branched out.

I'm not big on channeled messages and such, and really don't know why I respond to some more than others. I guess it's as simple as the style of communication appeals to me more than others. I can't get into the Matthew Messages at all, though I know others really resonate with those messages.

But the simplicity of the Abraham-Hicks material, regardless of how it came about, really appeals to me.

23. They're very consistent in their message; they express it in different ways
which help get the idea across. Basically, it's so simple and visible when you practice it. I've always believed in Energy, and their offering makes so much sense. Plus, the warm wisdom that comes forth instantly is just SO much more LOVING and expansively aware and non-judgemental than a regular ol' person can do....I've never been to a workshop, but it's right there to soak up on all those zillions of YouTubes....

I love how theAbrahams' message is all about improving our personal experience of life.

And then stories like the one I just shared, that showed The Energy so prominently........ WOW!

I just watched the video you posted and now recall how influential the AH material was regarding my spiritual viewpoint: Energy, vibration, focus/pay attention to emotions, "contrast" experiences which propel us toward what we DO choose to experience, etc., etc.

It was with the Abraham-Hicks material.

29. The Michael Teachings
I studied The Michael Teachings for many years, started around the time of Seth. I haven't worked with the teachings actively for several years but the information has been invaluable in my understanding of self and others. It's a channeled teaching. 'Michael' is a group of advanced Master Teachers who teach us about life through our personality traits, life purpose, perspective, etc (the last physical lifetime of the last teacher in the group went by the name Michael, so they said that would be a good a name as any). It is a fascinating study - here is something fun, go here http://www.mef.to/html/roles.html and take the test and it will tell you what your primary role may be.

Overview of the Personality Game
Primary Life Role - Basic Personality Type (Archetype)
Perspective - Outlook on Life
Reactive Center - Primary Response to Events
Attitude - Viewpoint Toward Life
Mode - Primary Method of Approaching Life
Dragons - Personality Dragons —Obstacles to Make the Game Challenging
Goal - Primary Motivator

Shine on,
Annette

7. For what it's worth, every so often I'll feel like the
ground is moving a little, and there have never been reports of even mild earthquakes where I was at the time. I've just concluded that every so often my sense of balance goes a little haywire, and since it's not severe and it doesn't cause problems, I don't worry about it. Never thought to consider the possibility that I'm tuning in to something somewhere else, but maybe . . . .

I just laugh at myself about things like that that happen to me but seem to be of absolutely no larger significance, even though quite clearly they are for others.

I am sort of an anti-psychic. Or maybe there's some better word for it. If I get a really strong feeling about something, it almost never happens. Others get actual valid premonitions. Not me.

As for "shaking," I'll share one of my oddities here, just for the heck of it, although it doesn't pertain to earthquakes or anything.

I've noticed that, from a very early age, if I'm deeply engrossed in something and concentrating very intensely (but being very still physically, like reading), things shake around me.

When it first happened I thought we were having an earthquake (in Pittsburgh...lol), as things on the nightstand would tremble, for example.

I just get so engrossed that it's the sound of things trembling around me that snaps me out of it.

Weird shit, eh?

SC, I've read and heard about experiences like that, in fact, just like what you describe.

I don't know that I'd necessarily connect it with the earthquake. It could be some experience where you're tuning into a higher vibrational level?

10. I had a premonition of the 1989 San Francisco quake
similar to that. I was addressing an envelope to someone here in Anchorage, but instead of writing "Anchorage, AK," I wrote "San Francisco, CA." It seemed kind of weird, but I thought maybe it was some subconscious thing since I used to live down there -- but later I learned that the earthquake happened at exactly that same time.

Spooky...

On tuesday - also thought my cat was on the bed (and wasn't), also checked the USGS and no earthquakes here - but the first 7 point something quake had happened in Japan. I was on the alert for earthquakes as I'd written in my notebook after a meditation on monday night "people running. see big earthquake in the next week (not here)." Which is freaking me out and making me terribly sad. Don't like premonitions like that to be right and wonder why have them when there's nothing you can do about it.
