At 1:30 a.m. today, Monday, received call from younger daughter (22) (Cancer) from whom I haven't heard since March 1 when I took her to her Doc for meds. Making appointment, I had mentioned to Doc daughter's emotional probs, expected Doc to elicit from daughter + not tell her I'd said anything about such, so daughter angry w me after appointment as apparently Doc or nurse had mentioned such. Daughter + I, on drive back toward our homes, had a fine, pleasant conversation, including about her willingness to see therapist. Later that day, learned from her guy that she was mad he'd spoken w me about her emotions, and hadn't heard from either of them since.
So about an hour ago now she phoned me, hysterical, from car, having had big fight w her guy. He's very even-tempered, in contrast to her moodiness. She cried, trying to explain fight they'd just had, said it was silly but that he had been very mad, and she upset about fight w him her best friend.
I've tried to contact him to inform him of her current situation, and haven't heard. I'll probably be the last to hear, as that's the way it is, but it kind of feels like a breakthrough of sorts, as she called me after a period of silence, I was able to say we'd work things out, and maybe we'll move on from here.
Thanks for listening; wanted to share. Will try to sleep!
