Crossroads Consultations and Readings
Hi, ASAH Family :)

For those interested in learning tarot and/or having tarot readings, I'd like to personally recommend someone.

Sandra Carrington-Smith is offering both now, and she is explaining the tarot cards on her Crossroads Consultation Facebook page.

I'm honestly not knowledgeable about tarot, nor have I ever been drawn to it, but I do know people who say Sandra has some sort of magickal touch in this regard.

I just spoke with her and told her I'd mention her sites here, and she said for any ASAHers who would like a 10-minute free sample reading, just let her know.

You can read more and contact her here: www.sandracarringtonsmith.com

Blessings to all on this supermoon....

1. I just had an excellent, excellent reading
Edited on Sun Mar-20-11 12:10 PM by northernlights
Sandra doesn't want you to tell her anything about yourself, which might influence her reading.

The first cards seemed generalities...nothing tied together. The last 4 cards pulled *everything* together. She stated exactly where I am at (I recently started a new venture career-wise, it's not turning out to be what I had hoped or expected or working out as planned and I'm not sure it was the right direction after all), what I need to do (just keep going through the motions...which is what I've been doing and was my conscious decision to do since January), and the future cards (the payback will be there and it is the right work thing for me). The earlier generalities now fit -- even the guilt surrounding mother energy, which was the guilt I have felt very conscious of re: care for my fur and feather family not being what it should be. (For any concerned, it's not that they are not well-fed, watered, cleaned up after and healthy. It's the lack of personal attention, and of course my mistake that could yet cost Algiers his life, that bother me every day. Seeing the doggies sad faces because I'm too cold and tired to walk them or play, the horses ungroomed, Dahli untrained, the birds not loved on, etc.)

The 10 minute free reading was at least 20 if not longer, so I can add that bit of guilt to my load now ;)

Seriously, for me this was kind of a "validation" reading, since I have no burning questions at the moment. I will go back when I have specific questions. When people start using my exact words ("going through the motions" is literally what has run through my mind since all hell broke loose in January. Just "go through the motions" and get through it" has been my mantra) then I know they are seriously tuning in...

3. How did you contact her, Northernlights? I went to the site
and there is a form I can fill out, but wasn't aware of a phone number. I would enjoy a reading. Thanks

6. OneGrassRoot, I want to thank you so much for this post.

I pondered and pondered for a few days about making the call....I think, in part, because I don't feel comfortable asking for something for free...and, also in part, because I'm afraid I may
find out something that I don't want to know. silly, isn't it?

Calling her has been the best decision I have made in several months. She is so warm, and instantly puts you at ease.

I have had readings over my 65 years but this one was different. It's not about the future,....it's truly about the "NOW". At first, it was all coming at me so fast, but it all came
together in a wonderful reading. I can't stop thinking about it.

She made me clearly see something that has been holding me back and I intend to work on this. A guilt issue that I never realized was guilt!!

The cards for my past were spot on and I got my chance then to discuss a large part of that past which is spent around the death of my
husband in 2007 and I sense now that missing him is more a part of my new beginnings than anything in my life.
I read somewhere that ...."what they don't tell you about grief is that missing someone is the hard part"...

And that's the part I'm going to embrace and nurture.....My feelings of "why am I still here" have taken a turn and for this I am grateful.

Thanks again - I highly recommend you give this wonderful person a chance to open up your arena...she certainly has for me. It's almost a little euphoric!!
Thanks again

7. I'm so glad!!!
Sandra knows me too well, so I think that would make a reading more challenging. We've worked together closely for about four years now (I'm her consulting editor ;)).

But I am so glad you feel better about things. A new perspective can make all the difference in the world! Absolutely!

should get a reading.LOL ..I meant that for the people that read your original note. She spoke very highly of you also. I am happy to meet both of you.

10. I contacted her and she contacted me back so fast
She called me this morning; I didn't realize it was for the reading--I thought it was for a 5 minute, "Hi there!, let's make a call time" call...

So I was in the middle of getting ready for work...Oh I wish I had a tape recorder!

She pulled some cards anyway and was so right on, and so nice to chat with, I ended up yakking with her as I was trying to get myself together!

She said right away she could tell I was very intuitive--pulled the High Priestess for my Crown card. I don't usually think of myself that way, so it was so nice to hear. And as I think about it, I think maybe I am; I usually can sense situations, people dynamics, energy....... And then I usually ignore my inner voice anyway!..... :P

but anyway, back to the point, she gave me a quick reading and I just enjoyed chatting with her so much. VEry right on, that I'm in a "waiting for changes to come" period (ha! Oy, yes! feel like I've been in this waiting phase for a little too long)

She got that a lot of the movement I'm waiting for depends on a phone call---WOW, I hadn't even realized, but yes, exactly; I'm waiting for that phone call that says, "you have a buyer for the house!" Then other issues (like the r-ship I'm in, to be specific) can be addressed on its own, rather than being stuck together because he's too good-hearted to abandon me here where it's too much for me to care for.

And, because I was in a rush to split for work, she's going to call back on Friday, when we can have more time!!!

She is superb!! WOW wonder if I should buy some kind of little recorder thingy??????

Thank you, OGR

13. The story of how we connected and our journey....
is worthy of a novella in and of itself.

;)

Quite magickal, though fraught with many challenges along the way.

She really IS lovely; for those who have spoken with her, you were probably surprised to hear a slight accent (if you weren't familiar with her background already). I get so tickled when people for whom English isn't their first language misuse phrases and such...lol. It's so cute. :)

She called me back to finish the reading ( !!) this morning...

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh, OGR, she is really something---WOW what a gift!

I'm crying right now. :)

I love how we connected (I suspect her heart os so big, she can connect with many MANY people of all kinds... ). Spoke the same language, Like Minds.

So helpful, so amazingly correct about what's going on in my life now, and the work (inner work) I need to do.....

Like a Lantern in the Dark, and confirmation that I am on the Right Path.

14. UPDATE!!! :)
Sandra realized that she left the offer of a free sample reading rather open ended, and asked me to let you know that she will do readings through this Friday evening (3/25).

PM me for her phone number if you'd rather call than email her to set up a time.

18. Hey OGR
Just thought I'd let you know she did a reading for me and it felt like it was spot on. She sure got the past correct, and the future looks bright so that's a positive.

She's so charming and kind and you can tell she cares.

We even spoke about her coming to Charlotte to discuss "The Book of Obeah" with my reading circle. Thank you for introducing her to us.

15. I just spoke with her.
She was able to see what I consider to be my major issues at this point, although I didn't realize the magnitude of their importance until she mentioned them. I definitely plan to get readings from her in the future.

What a lovely, generous person she is! I really liked her personally and also the way that she conducted the reading.

Thank you, OGR, for sharing this with us.

21. You guys remember the whole "Hooked on the Book" thing...
from last summer, and my Books for Good idea?

See, this has always been part of my Wishadoo! vision (so many things like Books for Good can be launched, but I needed the foundation first). I'm grateful Sandra was open to this idea (actually she loved it), and thus it's easier to implement some of these ideas (including a publishing co-op) via publishing, since I know so many writers and understand the mechanics of the industry.

After I get Wishadoo! going, I'm going to focus on Blogs for Good (a member-owned, community-owned grassroots alternative to HuffPo), and Books for Good.

This very simple site is holding the space until I can get there; notice there is a group set up at Wishadoo! as well.

22. Oh, and....
I'm frantically trying to get the blog platform situated (multisite WordPress which is much more complicated, but I want to get a good foundation set for bloggers), and Sandra will be the first blogger.

After the books were finished, I encouraged her to start a blog about everyday observations and insights, to start building a following. She ended up being one of the best bloggers I've ever read. She stopped doing it a while ago but said she misses it, and looks forward to doing it via Wishadoo.

Many people miss her blogs, so I'm anxious to have her start sharing her pearls of wisdom again soon.

As well as suggesting her readings, of course. ;)

But we need to get these books "out there"; word of mouth is the best way nowadays.

Oh, and for those who have read it, if you would kindly do two things at Amazon:

1. Write a review

2. Click the tags you feel are most applicable (that really helps the books come up in random searches on Amazon)

(pssssttttt.....I'm going to start a book club site in the next few weeks: Books for Good, starting with these titles :) )
