Out With the Old! (a Rebirth request for my ASAH peeps)

For anyone who registered at Wishadoo! -- at the "old" site (www.wishadoo.com) -- I humbly ask you to please register anew at www.wishadoo.org.

Here is why I'm asking this of you, even though I know it's an inconvenience:

Even though your previous registration transferred to this new site, a glitch has been ongoing which only involves "old" members -- again, those who initially registered at the "old" Wishadoo! (www.wishadoo.com) that existed prior to what you see at www.wishadoo.org.

A wise ASAHer mentioned that perhaps Wishadoo! is trying to cleanse itself of the past (it has been a long, often tumultuous journey, as many of you know) or "reset" itself.

Based on a few things that happened concerning this "past" in the last few days, I think there may be something to this, so I'd like to start fresh, not bringing any of the old into the new creation.

If you'd like to use your current user name and email (if you remember what you used), please contact me; I'll delete your existing account and then you can create it from scratch.

Let me know when you've done so, and I'll set your member status accordingly. :)

I will be spending time over the next day making sure things are set so people have access to all the features they're supposed to. This new website is quite amazing with myriad tools, and I don't even have all of them activated so as to avoid confusion at first; this also means that there are many things "under the hood" I must set properly, so do let me know if you can't access the basics of the site (Wishlist, Good News, Groups, Forum).

Lastly (for now ;)), while most discussion will take place within Groups, where people will gather with a focused intent of how they envision manifesting Wishadoo! in their lives and communities based on their interests, skills, and/or geographic locations, the General Forum is where we can discuss some basics regarding Wishadoo! as it gets going.

A great discussion has been started that is right up ASAH's alley, and I invite you to join us there to flesh this out more; or, we can discuss it here as well. It's about asking, giving and receiving. :)

I can't tell you how good this feels, you guys.

When I go in to delete an old profile for those of you going through this process, I bless the "old" you, and bless the "new" you, expressing my gratitude for your presence in Wishadoo!

5. I was on FB for a few weeks last year and was overwhelmed by the

Reich-wing, shallow crap that the people I let 'friend' me, around my town, were spewing and have not returned there. :scared::grr:

I believe I may try it again knowing you all will be with me and I won't be completely at the mercy of the pod people! :grouphug:

Now I just have to remember my name there and password! :rofl:

Yes, there are a lot of right-wingers there, but -- at least in my experience -- they've been much quieter lately. Not as much teabaggery being posted. ;)

And because I really make an effort to be calm in what I post, and engage in a respectful manner (without profanity which is VERY difficult for me! :rofl:), I've had conservatives message me privately, saying they are seeing things differently now.

And, I think I mentioned, for those who don't care for FB but want a private space to gather, Wishadoo! has such a group as well.

7. Much quieter there now, huh? Geesh, I wonder why?

I tend to cuss like a drunken sailor quite often myself, OGR, and have had to delete half of what I would write there. I get terrible political Tourettes! :evilgrin:

I am learning to have a cool down break before sending anything anymore. Shot myself in the foot one time too many in the past. :banghead::rofl:

There are a couple of people on FB that I actually do want to keep in touch with, so am seriously considering going back, but think the Wishadoo forum will be much more peaceful and loving to share at, like it is here at ASAH. :grouphug:
