Have you been watching "James May's Road Trip"? I haven't watched the one from this week, but have enjoyed it. I never knew his friend was a wine-snob, uh, I mean an oenophile :P The first time I ever saw him was on James' series "Toy Stories" and had no clue who he was other than just a good friend. The Road Trip series has been fun so far :)

Oh sure, I saw the "Drinking" series--it was originally three separate series. First they did Oz and James' Big Wine Adventure (the one in France) in '06, then a year or two later they did a second Big Wine Adventure (the one in California), then they did Oz and James Drink to Britain (name change to cover beer and whiskey along with wine) in '09.

I admit I haven't watched the BBC America Road Trip amalgamation because I was afraid they'd cut out too much to make it fit their schedule/commercials/etc. and then I'd be irate.

People have been begging them to do another Drinking series but they say they can't get their schedules to mesh. Oz tried doing a Drinking series with somebody else but, from what I heard, it tanked. It wasn't the same without James, apparently.
