In Winyanstaz's reading of Obama's hand, this sentence really stands out to me.

"He has a strong life line..but slightly after the age of around 54 or even a little sooner...he will have to face a major decision and life changing one at that. If he choses one way..his life line ends shortly after..if he choses the other he will live to be an old man. "


I wonder if The decisions Obama makes in favor of Big business and rich folks are the ones that will prolong his life.

In other words, If he actually did what Candidate Obama said he was going to do that the rich would make sure he got shot down!:shrug:

7. I actually have a little

experience with Palmistry. I also know the techniques of a cold reading, and I always feel guilty when I read someone's Palm, because it's so easy to tune into their body language and the clues they inadvertantly give me.

I have two pentagram stars without the circle,one smaller one inside a larger one on the upper plane of mars touching the head line in my right palm.
the five points are slanted almost but not quite inverted.
These are new.I would like to know the meaning.

Please forgive my shakey hand. I'm right handed and trying to trace with my left hand over my right palm lines was shakey at best.
In the second picture you can see the bigger 5 pointed star before I tryed to outline it in ink.

take a look at it to see it without the ink as well. I think that it was a wonderful idea to show the patterns as you did with the ink as well.

21. Well, in winyanstaz's post about President Obama's palm...

she said that the more lines a person has on their hand, the older their soul probably is. My soul must be really young; I'm OK with that.

As an aside, it's really weird because I've never once in my life actually felt young during this particular lifetime. Maybe that's just the way Capricorn energy works. I'm just now finally starting to get to the physical age that matches how I have always felt.

Speaking of Obama we are both born on August 4th.
Also we were both born off the Continent. Obama was born in Hawaii and I was born in Japan though I was born in "59"
I think hes a couple of years younger.

IHAD, Older soul doesnt mean Wiser soul. LOL! In fact it could very well mean that some older souls were slow on the uptake and had to keep repeating the lessons LOL!!!
I'm guessing thats probley my story.
I bet you won't need to come back so often.
You will get the lessons quickly and not lay down the kind of Karma that has to be untangled.snort!

23. Yes, I've never equated the "age" of a soul with its development.

I think that we all have our entanglements, Howler. I certainly have mine too regardless of the "age" of my soul.

You are such a lovely person; I can feel your kind energy through your posts. I suspect that you are more pulled together soul-wise than you think. ;) Your joie de vivre is such a wonderful thing to experience. Please don't discount the positive impact you have in the world. You reach out to other people in a way that is rare and wonderful.

14. Hi Sheila

I'm sure you are an excellent palm reader, it takes allot of talent! I wanted to respond to your post about your feelings of guilt in being able to read the body when you are reading the palm.

I think that a good reader is ethical to a fault, we have to be as there is no "proof" to what we do (yet)! Being intuitive allows us to look at the entire picture and that includes body language. The way I was taught was that I do most of the talking in the beginning and I pay attention to my craft (cards, aura, chakras, etc.). If the body responds, that is simply validation of what I am picking up. I cannot control others if they look at this as cold reading, I know it isn't and in the end, I have to be true to myself.

I worked for an outstanding intuitive for many years. She was THE BEST I have ever seen, however she was very hung up on her perception that she might be considered a "cold reader". I knew she wasn't, but it was very hard to convince her, even when she would do the readings over the phone where there was no way she could see who she was reading! When she would worry about this, it would block her ability to tune in and that fear would cause self doubt to grow. She was also very quick to say that other readers were "cold reading" and this caused some issues between she and I when I would disagree. It got sticky at times :)

My feeling is - feeling guilty puts doubt in your energy. That will most certainly block your reading and your intuitive interpretation. State the obvious immediately to get it out of the way - such as, "I hope you are not going to ask me if you are going to marry a wealthy man because the size of the diamond on your ring finger is a giveaway!" and then move on from there.

and your confidence in me. I would hesitate to try to read someone's palm from pictures, and to be perfectly honest, what little I know doesn't include such interesting lines as ones that make pentagrams. If they really are new, there's probably another whole meaning attached. I really only know some basic things, such as length of life line, and another line which sometimes parallels the life line and is taken to be an indicator of protected health.

30. Who knows? As I understand the underlying

assumptions of palmistry, the lines in our palms capture our past, our future, our destiny. It's like astrology. Either you believe in the underlying assumptions, or you don't. Ever since we got our own forum we've been spared the militant non believers here. But we all understand, or at least I hope we all do, that not everyone buys into our understanding of the universe. Admittedly, I am something of a skeptic, even here, and I try to temper my skepticism when I post here.

I'm an agnostic about palmistry at this point. I know a little bit, have not really read a lot of palms, and I hesitate to say much when I do. I'd guess that it's very much a dying art, which is probably too bad, because it probably ought to be right up there with astrology and numerology and other things that can shed light into our lives.

26. Rather than read from a pic

Why not try having some people take a xerox copy of their hand. The lines show up much more clearly and you can study them at your leisure and mark up the paper, trace the lines, etc.

You will be surprised at how clear the palm lines come through when someone photo copies them.
