Okay, I think maybe I've angered Bast or something.
My *other* stray, a sweetie named Jack who we tried to keep in the house but 1)he kept wanting to go explore (escaping), and 2)I was HORRIBLY allergic to him (I have this very very weird thing where I am not allergic to SOLID color cats, but am allergic to tabbys. No clue why.)..got run over yesterday. I found him in the middle of the road...IN FRONT OF the lady's house who had the dog that killed my other cat.
????
Guilt is not the word for what I feel. Fortunately this time it seems it was a quick passing.

I have one indoor cat, Piper, who is fine and healthy and my baby girl. If something happens to her I'm gonna scream.
Do I need to beg forgiveness here? What on earth (or not of it) is going on?
Sigh.

13. My son loved him most of all.
He would pick him up and carry him into the house.
My heart breaks for him,but he seems to be ok.
Thank you.

5. Went through something similar a few years ago
It was most upsetting for me and the lone cat left. Be sure to lavish love on little Piper, and then allow Jack's spirit to be free. Do not worry about him. He is fine.

I'm sending you light and love to get through this. It is so hard.

7. I'm so sorry to hear about your sweet boy
I don't think Bast would be angry at you for an accident. I have two cats that go stark raving mad if they don't get to spend at least part of the day outside. I don't like it one bit, but in order to preserve sanity (theirs, mine, & the rest of the tribe), I let them out when I'm at home, but bring them in before I go to bed. I worry like crazy while they're outside & check up on them every so often.

I really tried to keep them both in as much as possible, but it just was too much for us.

8. No, Bast isn't mad at you
She is always grateful to humans who take care of her felines. Can you feel her sending her love to you right now, because you lost two of your beloved pets?

My first impression was that Jack wanted to travel with your other cat. Even if you didn't observe any particular bond between them, there may have been one there.

Lavish your love on Piper, and when you feel ready, adopt more kitties who need homes. And don't feel guilty.

17. That's kinda funny..
that you would say that..they feuded like brothers, so maybe that was it. I dunno. Thank you for the insight, either way. It makes me feel a little bit better.

My heart and home is always open to whatever kitties that may find their way to us. :)

Thank you.

9. awww...baby :(
Sorry that this happened hunny, it sucks when our furry friends decide it is time to leave the planet. But this is something my spirit coach friend said and it feel true: animals are really not in fear of death at all and are much more open to the Transitioning of their spirit than we are. That's why they can just lay down and let go, or run in front of a car when they need to...it's like their spirit says "its time!" and they just go...
I know that doesn;t make it any easier for you  but I thought I'd share and try to help you let go of that lingering guilt.

Blessings hunny and may your Piper's lovin help too... :grouphug:

20. I am sorry to hear about your kitty.
I want to echo the comment made that cats (and other animals) do seem to transition to a different plane mush easier than we do. If you stop and think about it, cat nature is to make a big deal out of hellos, and their goodbyes are more a matter of walking away without much of a backward look. You know they remember, but it does seem they release emotion fairly easily.

Practical creatures, those cats!

Healing energy to you and your family.
