Grace From Above: Neptune and Chiron

Years ago, I was called in to do a reading for a man and his wife. They were newly married and had 2 young children. The man was going through a powerful Neptune transit. As is common with Neptune, he was having a great urge to escape. He didn’t even know what he was escaping from, he just wanted to escape. Nothing I could say could dissuade this man’s new fever – he wanted to go to Las Vegas, by himself, to be a cop so he could be a bad-ass and wear reflective sunglasses.

This is not a joke. He was drawn to the glamour of the Strip. Too many TV shows. Willing to abandon his wife and two young kids, I was unable to stop him. What happens in Vegas…

Unfortunately, this is an extreme reaction to Neptune, but the man went ahead and did move to Nevada by himself. I never did find out what happened to that “family.” I’d rather not know.

What caused this type of behavior? Neptune is the answer. There are many sides to Neptune which we’ll address now along with Chiron since those two are very active now and need to be explained clearly in order for you to understand what the “other” planets are doing now.Grace From Above: Neptune and Chiron


The current planetary configuration clearly shows the great tension between Uranus, Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto. You’ll also notice, outside of this giant triangle (T-square) lies Chiron and Neptune traveling together in early Pisces. That is this month’s story.

First we must understand what Neptune and Chiron are like, so we can get an idea of what they are doing together in the mystical sign of Pisces.

Neptune is a huge planet that rules such a wide range of things as spirituality, confusion, mysticism, drugs & alcohol, diffusion, delusion, escape, disillusionment, idealism, higher states of consciousness, water, psychosis, global villages, deception, and Oneness.

Neptune’s main “job” is to dissolve our known physical world. It is not very worldly – it is other-worldly. Its function is to remove the illusions from our eyes so we can see the “real” world of spirit. The experience of Neptune is not usually very comfortable for Westerners who believe that this physical plane is all that there is. Neptune is closely aligned to what we might call the “still voice within.” When people speak of ecstatic spiritual visions, they commonly say, “It was like a veil was lifted from my eyes!”

What is the significance of this transit seeing that Chiron is in my 12th house (21 Pisces) 6 degrees from Saturn (15Pisces) with Neptune 17Scorpio (which looks like it is opposing the Saturn placement) on my birth chart?

I had a dream last night that I was waitressing and thinking that my boss would now see that I "can handle it". My boss was a manager I had when I took my first nursing job. I was waiting on a table with unusual requests and the the ladies (a mother and her daughter) were Asian --not sure which country. Very odd dream and odd I remembered it as I have not been remembering dreams lately (cat wakes me up). This morning the cat didn't cry at the crack of dawn.

Other positive things-- I have been making lots of headway losing weight I don't need.

Careerwise still rather inert. The job is boring but nice to see people and talk to them. I don't have the stress that was so debilitating for me. The big problem is -- I want to tell people what to do to get better! I just advised a young woman with obvious malabsorption issues to seek nutritional counseling at our local natural foods/vitamin/nutraceutical emporium. They have a counselor there who does free consults. I don't know if she will, she seemed pretty invested in being sick.

Other Neptunian issues-- we have had unusual amounts of rain this Spring. Deluges, Thunderstoms etc. This weekend has had the only nice weekend weather we have had in months.

16. Your chiron is extremely significant

in the XII with Saturn, in Pisces, opposite Uranus, Pl, and Venus in Virgo.

A strong indication of past life where you were of great service to mankind.From behind the scenes.
This lifetime, during you Chiron return in a few years, you will probably start coming out from behind the curtain (self-imposed.)
Your Moon in Sag opp. Jupiter really helps your Leo sun stay extra buoyant. Nevertheless, much light is still under the bushel due to past life issues. You're about to solve them - dreams of more light will let you know when you are nearing this turning pt.
This Saturn would also explain why you may have issues with authority figures.

The whole story is this: you are ready to stand up and shine by yourself without need of external approval.

14. I think this is the most impactful of your newsletters for me, Rick!

It confirms and explains a basic struggle for me throughout my life, one which is really coming to a head now.

A dear heart reminded me about a few things in my chart (retrograde Chiron in Pisces, 1st house) and provided the following excerpt (emphasis mine):

It's a little hard to describe Chiron in Pisces, because the crisis it creates is on a level of "Universal Consciousness". There are often religious or spiritual crises related to this placement, because the native feels more connected to the spiritual or "God" level than to the physical or material plane. The native can be drawn to angelic imagery, and they are often psychic, empathic or exhibit healing ability. Depression and drug usage are a risk, because these individuals are so psychically sensitive.

Working to help or heal others can be healing to this placement, but it can also be harmful if they are not sufficiently mature to handle dealing with the stress. The native can benefit from the study of psychic protection.

Interestingly, Wishadoo! has Chiron in Pisces, too (8th house).

Up until probably my mid to late 20's, I struggled with being in and "of" this world. Until that time, I was a spiritual seeker because I preferred the spiritual over the physical. The physical hurt too much, especially as a very sensitive empath.

The next phase involved me diving into the physical existence in different ways, fully experiencing the highs and lows of the human condition. I immersed myself in activism at different times, and withdrew at other times when it consumed me because I am indeed so sensitive. It was an in-and-out pattern...engaging, then retreating.

When I wrote about some people being afraid to be human -- often for good reason, because it can be very painful -- I knew of what I spoke.

I had to find my own balance, of the spiritual and physical.

For me, doing things which I feel have the potential to heal and/or ease the suffering of even one other soul, is spiritual to me. It heals me.

I read the following yesterday in "The 12 Steps of Compassion," which speaks to me; I resonate with it very much:

Those who have persistently trained themselves in the art of compassion manifest new capacities in the human heart and mind; they discover that when they reach out consistently toward others, they are able to live with the suffering that inevitably comes their way with more serenity, kindness and creativity.

I still struggle with the "engage versus retreat" but all signs indicate that this is indeed what heals me...engaging, with balance, of course. Chiron encourages me to continue along this path. If I retreat and remove myself and don't do, it ultimately wounds me.

The above is opposite my sun right now. :) I'm just riding the wave right - do feel healing happening, and boundaries dissolving. For the past little while, too, but it's being ramped up even more lately. I have to urge to 'escape' from here - well, travel - and am doing so, but I think there's more to it than just Neptune.

I wasn't sure about where Chiron was in my chart, but I remember your mentioning it to me.

Neptune must have parked him/herself over the Pacific Northwest. I've had the vertigo/dizziness you mentioned, as well as 41 days of nonstop rain here, too. It's raining today.

I hope this means we're being washed clean and renewed for the next challenge. ;-)

which means your Chiron return is exact right now. Give it some deep thought. Chiron in Pisces has to do with the wound = feeling that God never answers you. He "feels like always skips over you." That's certainly not the case (IMHO), but you have to look to see if you abandoned Him.

That's the traditional translation. Nevertheless, this is MARVELOUS NEW BEGINNING FOR YOU SPIRITUALLY! CONGRATS! :hug:

This newsletter gave me chills as well. I gotta tell you on Saturday(the 30th)I had one of those days where everything went well, but mostly I was in an awe-inspiring bliss of gratitude for the beauty I was seeing everywhere. It is really nice here. And even though I may have to leave this place, I wasn't wallowing in things, I was "in tune with the finer levels of spirit."

Sunday, not so good. Had fun at a craft fair, but then at home I suddenly had a lot of resentment towards my soon to be ex, and the whole scenario that he is proposing, but I felt a connection with the para on Dyer's explanation of free will and Jung's "free will is gladly doing what you must." I am getting better with all of that.

I think Chiron is largely responsible for the alternative health movement. Back to the Garden-We were always on our way. Back to God.

Today Monday, I was NOT having a good day. "We're more sensitive, and that's not so good!" I had a fight with my daughter, and I was certain she hated me and that she would want to stay with her Dad. I had a long, good cry, and then later on at LAUGHTER YOGA! HAHAHOHOHO!, I met a poor damaged soul, who LOST EVERYTHING in a divorce or separation, kids, house! For one moment I felt better about myself, but so empathetic towards this hurting woman!


And the water thing! Last month our well water just didn't taste or smell right. We filter it of course, but we don't have a filter yet on our shower head, and it smelled like soap and some other something I couldn't identify!(something we don't use!) We have never had a problem with our water! NEPTUNE?

People healing people, that's our destiny I think. That's how we'll turn the economy around. People will really start flocking to became massage/reiki therapists and music healers and Laughter Yoga leaders and all flavors of life coaches for spirituality.. Everyone will LOOOOVE their jobs, and everyONE will feel better about themselves and ALL WILL eventually be healed..
The unblocking will be immense!

As noted in the thread I started, I am suddenly wanting to do chanting .. to balance and enhance spirituality.

Secondly, I have been doing major psychic battle with my advancing years. I've been thinking that if I had a partner I would feel better about myself (through 'their' eyes). A couple of days ago it dawned on me. I eschew pop culture and societal constructs. So, feeling myself less than based on some societal expectations is something I don't do! (until now) I've got to back up on the time spiral to repair all the damage I've done to myself with the worry. That's what I'm doing. A whole new perspective has taken root and needs to be nourished.

Remember, Neptune is all about water. You will see efforts to heal the Gulf of Mexico, new efforts toward the shrinking ice cap, all kinds of protective laws to save our ocean creatures. Neptune, God of the Sea, will protect its own. Even daily drinking water will become a big issue. You get it.

More and more municipalities are demanding that fluoride be removed from their drinking water! Texas has been caught with astonishing levels of radioactive materials in our water! This looks like the right time for us to demand and receive CLEAN, healthy water! :D

We’re transcending physical space as a known limit. We’re accepting the holographic, quantum world which has just been renewed. We can no longer solve the world’s problems with bombs (if we ever did) … Neptune rules timelessness and gives no reality to time and space. It is the Eternal Now.

Neptune dream last night: Julian Assange was in it; but I had listened to a 40 min interview with him before sleeping. My dad was in it; but he is deceased since 1998. My dad was spiritual. He invested it all in the Christianity myths; but at least he truly did care with his whole heart.

I don't have as good a dream recall as many others do here. What I do remember:
There was a group of us ... My mind was racing ... All of a sudden, the EARTH disappeared. The land mass. My dad explained. We had passed through some sort of time warp. He said unless we were HEARING sounds at the time of disappearance, we would not remember anything as the Earth re-established itself. We would forget everything we SAW. I kept my eyes on everything; wanting to REMEMBER. I had not experienced sound when it disappeared; but I told myself that since my mind had been racing, full of thoughts, that counted :blush: The land mass did manifest. I wasn't really allowed to watch it unfold. I had to keep my focus on what was immediately around me. Time (light) disappeared. wow

ps. I had not read the second half of your newsletter until this morning. I have to take small bites.
