Core Values Exercise

:)

http://www.commongoodworks.com/CoreValuesExercise.html

Part of this process may involve how we personally define certain words. To me, for example, Integrity encompasses respect, truth, and perhaps other values. Same with Compassion.

So, my final three core values are:

Compassion

Integrity

Love

6. Same list as mine
Except I could swing to
Faith Love Wisdom some days. I think your list is better, but I overvalue thought in practice.

2. Interesting...
I resonated with many values shown in the list, but it was very clear to me what my top three were. They are as follows:

Integrity

Wisdom

Connection - it's very important to me to always interact with people in a way that they feel valued and seen as the unique person each of them is.

The song and image below exemplify my feelings in reference to connection:

5. Faith, Family, Peace.
I like this "Reducing your list of values step by step is not an exercise in abandoning some of your values. You don't have to give anything up. You only need to consider which values are more important to you than others."

Very Nice exercise!

8. Don't know if you realize ...
This type of exercise is something Edgar Cayce recommended in his treatments.

He called it, "Ideals Exercise".

10. My TF looked it over and liked it as well.
She did it before I told her which ones I'd chosen. Hers were Love, Authenticity and Beauty. Mine were Love, Authenticity and Wisdom. She's a visual artist, I'm more of a writer. It was very interesting to see the convergence and divergence in exactly the areas we expected.

Nice.

13. I liked thinking about this-thanks
Thanks for sharing :hi:

I went with the three biggiss

Truth

Love

Peace

I realized that all the others can be distilled into these. What was interesting for me to think of, is that I'd added creativity and, when thinking about that, had the epiphany that creativity can be found in all of these! Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
