Updated information in reference to JanusAscending's health situation

[I Have A Dream]

As you may recall, JA seemed to have turned the corner in reference to her health problems. She had left the hospital and had even posted here once.

However, I received the following message from her daughter today:

I'm afraid I'm not contacting you with very good news. She's back in the hospital. She has a perforated diverticulitis and a hole in her colon. The cancer has spread to her liver. With her severely weakened immune system and the very poor prognosis for her cancer, surgery to repair the colon isn't an option. Peritonitis has already begun to set in. At this point, we're making her comfortable, giving her antibiotics and meds for the pain.

With all her problems, she does not need peritonitis on top of it. I hope they gave her the antibiotics in time to stop the pain. My prayers are with her.

As everyone here has sent and continues to send to JA their Healing Powers, sometimes it is just not enough to combat such a horrible disease. I understand how hard it must be to think the end is near for her journey on this plane, but her transition will start a whole new journey. Since JA is an old soul, I'm certain that she will know what is in store, and what to do when the time comes.


IHAD, thank you for keeping us posted. As a request could you post something in GD (if you haven't already) to get the whole DU community sending extra Love, Light, and Healing Vibes, or prayers. I'm sure JA could use an extra dose of DU support.

16. Hi, MagickMuffin! In reference to posting in GD...

I would do that but I wouldn't want to make JA's daughter uncomfortable. I've been very careful to get permission for each thing I do as I go along, and right now, I don't want to cause her any concern. As I'm sure you understand, her daughter is very overwhelmed right now :(, and I suspect that posting it in such a public area would cause her stress. She has given permission for me to post it here though.

17. Oh my, I just I hadn't considered causing her daughter any distress

and I certainly wouldn't want to make her uncomfortable. Just thought it would be a good idea, but I understand your role in keeping it posted only in the ASAH group. Let her daughter know that we all are sending her strength and support to her as well.
