But we can't hold onto this anger and sadness. We have to let it go as well. And yet it's not easy to let go of the tried and true answers. To let go of what has worked for us all our lives. Of what is familiar and comfortable and understood. But all life on Earth is in the midst of momentous change. The world is in flux right now. And so too are our lives. The cleansing is necessary and will be completed no matter what.
Remember that there is strength in numbers. And so those of like-mind should stick together. They should meditate together. They should envision the world that they want -- together.
Sadly, what is "familiar and comfortable and understood" for so many is hopelessness and feeling defeated. I grew up surrounded by that attitude and have never understood how someone can exist in that state of mind, and heart, for so long. I believe we all feel it, at times more than others, but to stay there feels like a self-fulfilling prophecy. The hopelessness becomes an entity in and of itself, just as pain does. People identify with it. If they let go of it for any length of time, they tend to lose themselves.
I wish we'd all lose ourselves more. ;)

I agree wholeheartedly. Even if someone isn't in a mode to do and take action about things beyond their own personal life -- if they're even ready to do that -- but feel they may eventually want to dream and imagine and brainstorm how life might possibly get better, I invite you to join me at Wishadoo. I'll create a special discussion group -- a non-action group...a Being group. Or maybe the private ASAH group will suffice. ;)
Online public messageboards really are, at least for this time period, a cesspool of whining and negativity with no desire whatsoever by most members to create a positive alternative. The negativity feeds on itself and is like quicksand, and I choose to remove myself from it beyond staying informed. I see the negativity and challenges and encounter it in my daily life plenty...I'm not hiding my head in the sand...I simply don't personally understand how it serves a purpose or alleviates suffering in any way to stay mired in it after an initial venting.
So I send good thoughts to ASAHers and wish everyone well. If I can help in any way, let me know, but I won't be checking in daily as I normally would and thus won't see posts in a timely manner.
Be well, be blessed.....
