Oddly I was thinking of Richochet21 comment there it was again!

When I heard of the Wienergate thing, I was thinking of Richochet21's comment a couple weeks ago. I did not think I would find it since it "goes away" after 48 hours so I was not sure I could search for it ~ and there it was at the top of ASAH. Soo--- erm ... others were thinking of it as well. I am stunned at how accurate he was.

Aren't we lucky to have such talented people on this forum?

Thanks Richochet21! And thank-you IHAD and others for helping me be able to post here.

Love you all and I feel so privileged to be able to be with you!

2. That's not a scandal.
Or it's only a scandal because we live in a busy-body, sex obsessed - sex ashamed culture with a 24 hour news cycle.

A real scandal is what the banks have been doing to the world. Or the head of the IMF raping a hotel employee.

Arrgh.

5. We are SO stuck with media that is not news alright
...so in our culture this is a scandal. I think it is sad that we concentrate on empty news and allow this crap to dominate our airwaves as well.

To me, the worse about this is with people who tout "family values" who do this crap, particularly when it is illegal, and they are the worst and seem to get off with the least consequences ~ mostly repugs. Yet Mr Wiener is maligned and investigated by even his own people AND the other side.

I am an empath not psychic or an astrologer, but something tells me Richochet's comment is indicating more and this "more" has to do with Mr Wiener's politics with his stupidity used as a cover to hide other political and sexual dalliances by other people who will (sigh) AGAIN get away with it all.

I am so tired of this crap. I am just hoping this change is coming soon and that others will be held accountable for REAL crimes.

6. I'm finding it hard to do anything but
:eyes: at the constant barrage of stories & poutrage over someone who takes pictures of his underwear.

I recently attended my 30th HS reunion, yet when I look at GD, I feel I'm still stuck in freakin' high school.

3. For him, in particular
or others in general?

I am so bummed about him - he's been one of my favorites for a while now and I had really given him the benefit of the doubt. Damn. When I saw the news yesterday, I drove home shaking my head. You cannot be in that kind of position and do stupid shit like that. I've got no issue with pictures of your junk (or his junk, even!) but he had to know the risk and chose to do it anyway. (heavy sigh)

4. this whole mess shows he has very poor judgement and is a very
selfish person...his behavior shows that the opportunity to be in congress was just a job that gave him a good salary and benefits...and gave him lots of face time on TV to holler at the opposition.....he should resign and get help...(IMHO)

beam me up Scotty!

7. I put this in GD. I believe it might explain his
behavior somewhat as well as the behavior of other public figures who have been caught with their morals down as well as their pants.

I wouldn't mind a couple of recs to get on the greatest page as the unrec crowd have been busy.

9. I am bummed about this too
...it seems the most progressive voices have their demons put on the front page while Rome literally burns ~ our economy, natural disasters, destruction of our environment, increasing poverty, unjust wars, corruption with our legislation, geez.

And yes while I am bummed and angry about it and see the stupidity of these men, I am also saddened that we selectively pick out their weaknesses and then use it to destroy the very people we need and then allow people with true selfishness and evil in their hearts to go on with no consequences. IMO this is a terrible and destructive flaw in our society because if we truly were "just" then no one escapes the consequences they should reap. Also there are bad and then worse, and "bad" to me is things like Mr Wiener did and "worse" costs lives, which should reap even greater consequences.

And I believe in reincarnation where I know karma will swing back and bite, but it is also important to keep order in a civilization where, "If this, then that will happen ..." which is physics, mathematical, legal and societal as well as karmic to avoid chaos.

Hope I made some sense, lol.
