Looking back at Aug 8 and 9 and seeing how Mars works in the "real world."

I've talked with so many people that had huge turning points last Monday and Tuesday. They had had "enough" and things broke thru for them. I just talked to two sisters these last two days, both Geminis. On Monday, one filed bankruptcy to get away from her abusive husband for good - not pretty, but liberating nevertheless.

The other has been married to a big baby for 12 years, totally supported him while he played Xbox 15 hours/day (at age 44). And he's not disabled. Never worked a day in 12 years. He was very abusive verbally. She HAD ENOUGH last Tuesday and has decided to divorce him. Pluto started working on her since Jan 08 (3 1/2 years) and it took till 8/8/11, then the Mars trigger hit (from inside of her) and she had just had enough. Both had a very abusive father.

These are the beautiful stories of how the planets parallel our lives. Thats why we don't duck when they max out, but act instead.

I'm so happy for both of them. Look around you; you'll see similar stories. :bounce:

1. yes!
;) totally rick, that was when i got 'sick' last week, by wed i was flat on my back. and the transformation i guess was almost like a chrysalis.
I have had my moments where i falter, but the overall feeling of shift and seeing things differently is huge.

a friend who was lingering in an 'okay but not fun or really comfortable' relationship/living situation just found an apt to make their own.

another just moved to college campus for the first time ever and has a roommate to learn to interact with in a new way.

changes are afoot!

2. did the turning point have to be last Monday or Tuesday?
If it came 5 to 8 days later, would it be the result of the same Mars' effect?

The overall effect is widespread. That was the peak. The whole thing has been mounting for 3.5 years. Hope it's treating you well

9. I had a Gemini friend of mine..
..who called me in desperation Sunday. He has been trying to make it work with a girl for the last three months; after leaving her twice before due to her abusive ways. He asked me for gas money so he could get the hell out of there..I was happy to oblige.
So yes, five days later was about right for some people.

4. For me, I've had a lot going on, just like everyone else,
Pending separation and divorce... trying to build a business...plus intense cleaning out of personal spaces, taking care of important tasks, and then some waning and sadness or melancholia from the end of eras, but a really wonderful thing happened on that Sunday, I believe..

I had been looking for a very dear old friend of mine, one that I couldn't find on FB, had located her by her married name, but never saw a picture to confirm, well, I finally did, and the smile she had on her face in that happy photo, well, it was like the old days, and I made a new wish to meet up with her, really it would be a dream come true. It just happened very magically, it seemed, and I have been enchanted for days..

So I don't know what that means,or if it is as important as the other things.. but it was quite special to me.

5. I don't know if there has been a definite
turning point in my life. I know that I feel easier even though not a single thing has changed in my outside life. We go from one day to the next and life keeps us moving. We are in a new stream of people and so that feels like newness, but nothing has changed. I'm in a Bodhisatva study group and I am diving deeply and simultaneously saying...if they have me, then their standards are really low for Bodhisatvas these days. All my stuff is breaking left and right, the latest is my electric shaver; my poor sweet dog is 1/3 shaved and looks so funny and is still in need of hair cutting. Only some amount of money will make it okay.

I think my mental shift came when I watched some videos about someone who talked about receiving. Someone here (All of you are so dear, we merge in my mind) posted a series about the rightness of receiving and struck me that I push away the gifts and I have resolved to begin to accept every single one that comes my way.

Thanks for asking.

6. Mercury Rx, why do you do me like you do???
I tried to answer this post, and it was applied to a post from back in March. WTF? Mercury, must you mess with me so? Anyway, what I posted was:

Big changes afoot for yours truly.

After being unemployed for 16 months, sending out resume after resume after resume and barely getting a nibble, out of the blue I decided to change focus from what I've always done to something that I might actually ENJOY doing. So I signed up for a bar tending course -- just happened to catch it at the perfect time when they were offering the classes a cost I could afford (more than 1/2 off their regular tuition), and I can start in 2 weeks.

So let's see. Is this where I thought I'd be at this time of my life? Well, no, but so what? Very few of us can say that we are. Do I think I can do this job? Sure. Do I think I'll like it? What's not to like? I'm a Gemini who gets to meet new people every day and chat them up. Sounds like it's right up my alley.

15. I think the reason so many Geminis are being affected by this
is not only Mercury Rx, but that for Gemini, Capricorn is in their 8th house, where all the stir is. The 8th house for all Geminis is about shared relationships, shared values, deep relationship themselves; makes sense.

7. I've seen it with two friends...
One was with a guy who she's been trying to break up with for a couple years now. I've been through I don't know how many "dress rehearsals" with her but I think this time she is serious. Then another friend, who I only know through my daughter because she's best friends with her son, emailed me to tell me she and her husband have mutually decided to get a divorce and she wanted a reading from me. I was somewhat shocked but knowing what was going on astrologically, not as much as I would've been.

8. I'm not sure if this was exactly a turning point...
But, I definitely experienced a major consciousness shift. I had totally forgotten about Mars and I e-mailed a friend at the end of last week marveling over how "clear" I suddenly felt. The week before it seemed that I was going to be stymied in pursuing an academic goal due to finances, policies and bureaucracy. Ultimately, I got down to business, did what I needed to do (i.e, paperwork). After a week of stressing and fretting, on Monday, I felt at complete peace. It was a very strange experience for me. It wasn't conscious (i.e., a thought that everything would work out) but just feeling completely clear and present in the now. I have been working on a major business project as well. The importance of which and my confidence in which led me to understand that the things I've had to deal with, the little bumps and the big bruises, were all suddenly irrelevant. I have entered a completely different zone where the finish line is what matters and it is clearly within my reach. Also, I had obsessed over a significant romantic disappointment for over three years and it's suddenly no longer constantly as the forefront of my mind and spirit. Mars was conjuncting my own Mars at the time. This is the first time I have felt something so powerful under this transit.

10. Goddess! I just remembered the nuclear blast I let loose
last Sunday! How the mind blanks things out that are unpleasant. The daily reminder I have are dented pans! I was so angry that I banged my pans together and dented the stainless steel! So, okay. That was a changing day. My beloved has realized somewhere deep inside himself that he must be part of the daily grind and give me some relief. Yeah for progress.

11. I've been following Mars/Pluto opps since '05. Find them fascinating.
They tend to cooincide with absolutely stunning changes in life, typically the endings of bad situations that we need significant motivation to get rid of.

But this time, I didn't notice any change in my own life. At all. And I kind of thought there might be, especially because the last one ushered in as bad an experience as I've ever had. True, I made a conscious decision to try to remain calm, (go, free will!) but that still doesn't explain the lack of fireworks. I really thought I would have to deal with all out war again. Very strange.

20. Issues building at work finally reached a head
We had all been under an incredible amount of stress dealing with gigantic rush order after gigantic rush order with no end in sight. So far we've managed by the skin of our teeth, but when another giant order came through Tuesday that had to be out by Friday, enough was enough. I composed an email to all pertinent parties saying basically, "the system is broken; we can't keep operating this way."

Everyone agreed! The office heads are now talking and, more importantly, listening. We think we've spotted the major obstruction (an antiquated computer system that is now collapsing under the weight of 60,000+ items) and have an idea of what can be done to fix it. It's not an easy thing by any means, but now that we're looking at the issues we can try to take steps to make it better.

Also, I unplugged my office phone Tuesday. My productivity jumped 50% for not being interrupted every 15 minutes with questions about the old catalog items. :D

and have been on a diet since June 3, and on the 8th I finally broke the minus-30-pounds mark. I still have a lot to lose, but that was a big milestone for me.

1/25/08 when Pluto entered Capricorn after 258 years. The last time it was there was when we revolted against the British, 1762. It's that big. Good for you.

as bad as the USA has become, I'm ready to become a British colony again! (Just kidding.)

I'm still astounded that the USA hasn't erupted into some kind of civil war or something. Everyone I know is ANGRY...really angry, from one side or the other.

31. I think deep down none of us want to fight each other
If the US did collapse into a second civil war it wouldn't be us against them, it'd be us against us.

Yes, a lot of people are very angry and ready for drastic change. There's a decidedly vocal fringe calling for violent measures, but they're just that -- the loony fringe. Most sane folks recognize them for the dinosaurs that they are.

26. 1/25/08
That's my kitty cat's birth date. I got her from a rescue group, and if you'd asked me that morning if I was going to get a new kitten that day I would have laughed at you. Alas, fate has its own agenda, so when I went to the pet supply store to get cat food (that's all), and walked by the rescue group's adoption area, a little fluffy kitten grabbed my shirt through the bars of her cage and wouldn't let go. Every time I'd disengage her claws from my shirt, she'd re-engage them. It was so funny. So I asked if I could hold her and that was the end of that -- she was mine.

Wonder if there's any significance in that date, as it is listed on the adoption papers as her birth date.

27. Another big breakthrough!
This time on the home front:

We've been dealing with property tax issues for the past several years. Most of the problems stemmed from inaccurate records at the tax offices -- listing our address wrong (despite multiple attempts to have it corrected) and taxing us on a house that's no longer there. For the past 2 years we've had a contract in place to pay off the back taxes in monthly installments after placing a sizable down payment on what was owed. The payments cover the land portion of the bill, but we were concerned about the "phantom house" issue that they were still trying to collect on.

Yesterday we received a letter in the mail from the tax office. It included a check refunding what we overpaid on the down payment -- taxes for the house that isn't there. The records have finally, after all this time, been corrected. As long as we stay current on the land taxes we're in the clear.

we are busy extricating ourselves from a very toxic family relationship. The "action" started on July 4th. It's a process, and a very sad and unpleasant one, especially for my husband. But I think it will be much better for us in the long run.

23. When I state dates, I make the mistake
of making people think SOMETHING WILL HAPPEN ON THOSE TWO DATES. I must be clearer. It's a long-term process that PEAKS on those two dates. What you are speaking of is perfectly in line with this even if "a few days late". It is exactly it. It was a long time coming. July 4 is when Uranus pulled back, getting rid of toxicity is the key. you will be better off.
Good luck to you.

This specific date stuff is brought on by the hypnosis most are under from reading daily horoscopes, I think.

enjoy the cleansing

our being ready to receive new relationships. Had a great conversation with a neighbor this evening; feels like our lives are opening up and will get healthier, the less we have to deal with Poison Person. Amazing how much time and energy we've wasted the past few years on PP.
