It turns out that my SIL's sister's cancer is too far gone for the doctors to do anything. She had surgery this morning, but it amounted to little more than opening her up, taking a peek, and closing her back up again. No word yet on how long she has left. She's not even 65.

Sucks.

Thanks to all you lovely ASAHers for your good wishes for her, however. They most certainly did not go to waste. Not at all.

:hug: It's a horrible thing when there's no hope at all. I try to remember that this is the path their higher selves had chosen, but still... It's worrying about how badly her daughter, mother, and sister (my SIL) will take this more than anything, I guess.
