Just saw this on the front page of DU. Why isn't the media covering this?? Oh wait, I know. When the media squelches things like this it just convinces me more of how censored our news coverage really is. Truly the internet is the only place you have a chance of getting any REAL news. Could this really be the beginning of people finally rising up because we've had enough? What are the planets saying?

-- no matter how seriously they've been attacked. They have some training going on, to help them all to stay that way -- peaceful, and not reacting. Because there do seem to be genuine organized efforts to get them to react some other way than peacefully.

I'm really proud of them. What a lot of wisdom they have. And all the folks who are making fun of them are just lining up big time on the wrong side of history, like with dunce caps on their heads: Look at me! See how stupid I can be?

It's hard to believe how truly stupid the cops are being (and I don't mean all the cops; the ones in the white shirts); as if they don't know that what they do is going to be seen all around the world in a matter of hours. They can't maintain lies about what is going on, not this time. I guess that's what they've always done in the past, just told lies about what happened, but that just doesn't work anymore. What a relief.

My 19 y/o college student daughter told me this weekend she knows something big is coming and wants to join the protests (Occupy Austin in on 10/6 and she's going; I will join her). She said kids her age don't see much of a future for themselves at this point, even with college educations.

Why are people occupying Wall Street? Why has the occupation – despite the latest police crackdown – sent out sparks across America, within days, inspiring hundreds of people to send pizzas, money, equipment and, now, to start their own movements called OccupyChicago, OccupyFlorida, in OccupyDenver or OccupyLA?

There are obvious reasons. We are watching the beginnings of the defiant self-assertion of a new generation of Americans, a generation who are looking forward to finishing their education with no jobs, no future, but still saddled with enormous and unforgivable debt. Most, I found, were of working-class or otherwise modest backgrounds, kids who did exactly what they were told they should: studied, got into college, and are now not just being punished for it, but humiliated – faced with a life of being treated as deadbeats, moral reprobates.

The first response of the MSM was that these were trust fund hippie types. They couldn't be more wrong.

The cops are making huge mistakes, too. It's like they've turned into bumbling fools, doing everthing not to stop what's going on but to feed it and get it worldwide attention. I'm so glad they're cooperating! I'm sorry for any pain or suffering they cause anyone, but it's good news that they're moving things along so well.
