It's so cool that you came to it completely on your own. It makes intuitive sense, doesn't it?
The way Seth sees it (and I share that view), our oversouls can send fragments of themselves into physical reality at different places and different times "simultaneously". This is misinterpreted by people in this reality as reincarnation, because from our perspective time looks linear. However, from the perspective of our oversouls on the "next level up", this reality's space and time are frameworks that are useful rather than limiting.
I think that's where the whole Twin Flame thing comes from: two fragments of the same oversoul are sent into the same time-frame, with the intention that their meeting will be part of their learning here. It's also where the sense of recognition of members of your soul family or soul cluster come from - there is a vibration we share with other fragments of our oversoul, even if we're not intended to be Twin Flames.
Our perceptions are time-addled. It's as though we are all running along in a maze of corridors with no view of where we really are or what's ahead. We just know that that now we're in this corridor going forward, then we can turn this corner either left or right, and then we can follow that corridor going forward. No backing up is allowed, and we can't climb up above the corridor walls. We may meet other people at a corner, but we always end up running along with them in the same direction, until we make different choices at some later corner and our paths diverge.
This is why psychedelics like LSD, mescaline and psilocybin can be so helpful when they are used as entheogens. They can "pop you up" out of linear time and give you a glimpse of the whole shebang as a panorama. Anything that gives us a transcendent view, whether it's psychedelics or a spontaneous perception, lifts us up out of the corridor and lets us see the maze from above. From that perspective it becomes obvious that "forward motion through time" is just a convention (or a consensual illusion), and that we're not in a corridor but actually in a much larger, interconnected maze.
The illusion of linear time is one of the main things that hides Oneness from our view. Anything that helps us pierce that illusion opens the doors of perception.
