2. Wow! That's wonderful.
I've been following this crystal skull travel across the country. The tickets for the Los Angeles event on 11-11-11 are almost $200. I was bummed. Would have loved to experience that, but I couldn't afford that at this time. Your son and ex-wife are so lucky to be right there.

I was buying a wedding present for someone earlier this week at Bed Bath & Beyond. I saw a crystal skull with a hallowed section on top for a candle. It was marked down to $12, so I bought it and plan to have my own private 11-11-11 ceremony.

Thanks for sharing.

3. $200???
Am I the only one who thinks that's just wrong?

4. No.
Any true spiritual event should be free as far as I'm concerned. If the leaders need funds to cover their expenses they can ask for donations or charge a small fee. $200 is overkill and moves it squarely in to the "suspiciously scamming" category for me.

5. I'm afraid I'm also smelling something scammy here
That's a shame too. I so wanted to believe in this. Oh well.

7. That's good, Rick
As it should be, in my opinion.

Maybe the one in LA is charging because they have to pay for the venue? Don't know, but it feels so wrong to charge large amounts of money for this.

9. Unfortunately, spiritual stuff can be costly these days
I've been going to a lot of events over the years, and some of them are in this price range. It's not so bad if I happen to have the extra funds, but lately, I just don't. The ones that I really take exception to are the events that cost a few thousand. That includes airfare and lodging and a lot more, but it still seems outrageous to me. It just seems like this type of stuff should be free, where you can offer a donation if you'd like.

Here's the link for registration in Los Angeles. It does look like part of the cost is to cover the room, but I'm sure it could have been done for a much cheaper price.

Because people want to make a buck whenever and wherever they can is no reason to not believe in a brighter tomorrow. After all, it's all about manifestation and using our own powers to create our new reality.

8. Maybe that's why
Hollywood astrologers can get $22,000 for a "reading"?
