Neptune turns direct on November 9th just before the full Moon in Taurus on November 10th
Neptune has been retrograde since June 3rd and now finally turns around in Aquarius. But this spiritual planet is heading toward Pisces, a sign that it will enter in February 2012 and occupy for the next 14 years. Hopefully you used the retrograde period to revisit your hopes, dreams and goals and are able to not only envision the future that you desire, but are ready to take steps to turn your dreams into reality. Neptune reminds us to strengthen our spiritual foundation and to invest energy into attaining our dreams.
With a full Moon is in Taurus, the sign that rules money and values, expect to feel strongly about anything to do with finances. It's interesting that Bank Transfer day and the Occupy movement gaining more attention is occurring near this full Moon. In general, during a Taurus full Moon, you are likely to encounter those who have values that are opposite of your own and part of this time will be to see how you conduct yourself when you do. Make sure you know how to hold your ground. But also, be aware when you are just being stubborn. In general, this is a good time to do something that helps you to feel materially comfortable, whether you make a plan to save money, invest or even spend money on items that have lasting value. Because Neptune is changing direction during this full Moon, make sure you know where your money is going! Don't be in denial or in the dark about anything that relates to your financial life. If you are switching banks, make sure you take care of and are on top of every last detail!
Mars enters Virgo on November 10th
The reason this is noteworthy is because Mars will turn retrograde in this sign on January 23, 2012 and won't turn direct until April 13, 2012. When Mars retrogrades it becomes a major transit. That's a lot of time for feisty Mars, an advocate and a warrior, to spend in one sign! What this means is that one area of your birth chart will be activated for over seven months. Mars won't leave Virgo until July 3, 2012. And once it does, Mars will enter Libra, a cardinal sign. With outer planets in cardinal signs (Uranus in Aries, Pluto in Capricorn and Saturn in Libra) Mars joining them will create a lot of noise. But that's for another newsletter next year.
Hopefully you know where in your own chart this important transit is taking place. This is where you want to direct your energy. Virgo is known as one of the hardest working signs of the zodiac and you will feel very motivated. You will have more than enough energy to accomplish your goals. This transit particularly favors progress in anything that is health related or is about self-improvement. Take advantage of this time to help you get fit, lose weight, or learn to meditate. Virgo is also a sign that rules service. If you have been thinking of volunteering, choose a cause close to your heart and lend a hand.
Mercury turns retrograde in Sagittarius on November 23rd
Get your paperwork complete, your resumes mailed and contracts signed. On the plus side, nothing beats Mercury in Sag for enthusiasm and optimism. However, people tend to say way too much during this transit. Especially with the retrograde, expect plenty of statements followed by retractions and explanations! You will get the most out of this time by thinking before you speak. Better still, Mirandize yourself. You have the right to remain silent ... anything you say can, and will, be used against you. Mercury turns direct on December 13th.
November 24 brings a Solar Eclipse at 2 degrees
Sagittarius
Are you walking your talk? Make sure your activities and beliefs are in synch. Any eclipse is visually spectacular and heralds dramatic events. Since the North Node is transiting through Sagittarius, a solar eclipse in this sign can serve as a beacon helping you to envision your goals and giving you the energy to move toward them. Keep in mind some of the confusion of this week with Mercury's retrograde. Take into account that some people will change their minds; leave lots of room for changing your plans. Have a Plan B ready to go. For those of you with a Sun in the early degrees of Sag or important points in your chart in early Sag, you or your projects are going to get quite a bit of attention.
Special note: Make plans for the period between December 13th, when Mercury turns direct, and January 24th, when Mars turns retrograde. That window gives you the best opportunity to get traction with your projects and plans and to cultivate contacts.
