Occupy movement thoughts
I have an uneasy feeling. I'm getting some vibes that the OWS group is going to be under more stress, and it may include accusations of anarchy or something un-American before this is all over. TPTB are getting angry and worried that this OWS group is going to get violent next spring, and they are trying to come with ways to disband it or thwart their actions. I also get strong impressions that the group has already been infiltrated with agents who are going to target the power structures within the group with an eventual act being arrests of the leadership, such as it is, with charges of something similar to treason.
Anyone else getting impressions on this?

Thanks.

1. PinkTiger, I'd like to share an article I JUST read...
I don't have an answer to your question...I'm trying to get a feel for everything myself. Yet this article is, to me, brilliant on so many levels and does speak to your question, I believe. :)

2. My Feelings
I get the impression that the OWS movement is about to hit a very rough patch -- lots of infiltrators, general rabble and a massive coordinated attempt to close the camps down once and for all. There will probably be isolated acts of violence (more likely to be instigated by law enforcement and/or the aforementioned infiltrators & rabble), but I don't feel that the movement will lose sight of it's non-violent goals. It's shaping up to be a long, hard winter, but things should regain momentum once spring rolls around again.

4. I'm not very good at receiving vibes
but my gut tells me that Our Corporate Masters want to set Occupy up as a scapegoat for violent behavior by police and FBI infiltrators. They want the American people to view OWS as a bunch of dirty, violent, crazy hippies, and it just ain't so.

My feelings is that OWS should take to the highways this winter and visit small towns in the South and Southwest over the winter, talking about our goals and visions for America.

5. I'm getting the vibes that other movements
older movements will join in to help support OWS through the attacks. Other social justice organizations.-- think Catholic Worker, Wobblies, other economic centered groups that are focused on changing for the better-- which will lend some credence to their attackers on calling them "communists, socialists etc." However the slurs will not have the intended effect. It is going to be a long cold winter for everyone, not just the OWS. The more people learn about what has been going on, the more screw ups in Congress, war mongering on the federal level, outrageous garbage spewed during the election....

I have to tell you. Federally, I am getting a sense that the people will not be as engaged in the 2012 election as they were in 2008. I can see them being more active (than usual) in their local elections but not putting in the time, energy and cash for the Congress/Senate/President. OWS is showing the Emperor has no clothes and the mayors and governors are showing their ass.

It is going to be hard for OWS but I think their tactics will evolve. I'm planning on sewing and knitting up mittens, scarves and hats for our local group and any homeless.

8. I've had a feeling for a long time that 2012 elections won't
have anywhere near the energy of 2008. I think 2008 was the last "election". When the idea is to bring down the old ways, the outdated election system in general seems yawn-able, and draws immense cynicism..

But about OWS being brought down...

ENERGY can neither be created nor destroyed comes to mind.

The energy was always there, but awakened.

It make change shape for a bit, but will rise again if needed.

It's too big and powerful in scope and vision.

I believe the energy of the movement is also synchronizing with our

Great Mother,

When you get THAT kind of energy moving,

MASSIVE positive change is born.

10. a little off topic, but about elections
I have been feeling for a long time, maybe since this spring, that the election isn't even going to HAPPEN.

dunno if we will have full blown chaos or something else that causes us to put it off as a collective, maybe a natural disaster (or the euro and dollar crashing?) but something is going to be more important than the election bullshit, like debates and scandals etc...something way bigger.... wow.can't tell you how, but this just keeps coming to me every time someone even mentions the election...like my guides say "nope, ain't gonna happen"

not that I know of...HAHA!... I just feel like everyone finally sees thru the bullshit, that there is really only a handful of congress folks you can trust.. just that the veil has been lifted.

the intentions of what is right will set in motion an unstoppable force that will pave the way to a new era. The more TPTB try to stop this, the more they will empower it. There may be bumps along the way, but the transformation is inevitable. The intentions are for the highest good...an end to "ME", the arrival of "WE".

"Spartacus blood and sand" season 1 and 2.
Probably not a real optimal time for me to try and speculate or divine the direction or future of OWS.

Two days to reach the climax when the slaves revolt and Spartacus becomes their noble leader. kinda sucks when you know the real history of exactly what happened to all of those folks.

9. No, I think that the way that we view the occupy
movement (and this includes all sorts of people I hear on NPR and among my facebook friends, etc) is fundamentally flawed.

People assume it is something organized like protests were in the past. With a leader or a few leaders and thus it can be infiltrated and coerced.

But there has been a change that is fundamental and we do not recognize it yet, perhaps.

The organization of the social has shifted from a system that has leaders and followers to one in which all collaborate.

It has happened. It is fundamental and this is why these tactics that TPTB have used in the past won't work.

And this shift has happened everywhere, not just with the occupy movement. It is happening in all organized enterprises. And I find it absolutely thrilling.

Look, you'll begin to see it, I think.

we have to understand what communal organization is like from the ground up before it can be actualized upon a larger scale. and like how SE Asian communities learned how to perpetuate endless rebellion against imperial masters by having a populace uprising instead of an organized movement, we too will see the wisdom of leaderless efforts. we have to understand how communal organization works, for both change and maintaining communal functions -- hence why Occupy depts. of media, money, health, communication, etc. are just as crucial if not more than the occupation itself (to speak of nothing about an organized message -- old models of messaging will have zero impact from now on).

a perpetual attack from a thousand fronts cannot fail because eventually logistics runs out from any hierarchical organization. hierarchies can only survive by willful submission to authority, remove that and the keystone collapses the arch. the trick is to create a new arch before the old one collapses... to be in accord with the age, we must learn how to build new arches.

happening despite everything that wanted to hold it back. There's an unstoppable energy to this, born out of necessity.
