I got asked to be on a jury, said yes and then kept getting sent to some thread that had been removed for obscene content....I reported the problem, they are fixing it....but I really don't know about it. I don't get onto DU to be forced to look at obscenities or the ghosts of them.....

So, don't agree to be a juror perhaps......

It will take some getting used to, but I am a double Cap and very slow to accept any change.

I agreed to be a juror. The one I looked at seemed pretty lamely obscene. I wonder if they show everyone the same one and are gathering data on what our obscenity thresholds are. Whatever... I hope we get to transfer our archived threads from here to there. I would think so, but would like to see it confirmed.

Agree w/the Caps, is this change really necessary? Now?
I started a thread in GD about it. I wonder why this couldn't wait until after the 2012 election...think it is bad timing. We need to be able to easily & quickly communicate w/one another about defeating the Repukes....not learning a new user interface! Waste of precious time.

As the old saying goes: "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."

Suppose we will all just muddle thru & do the best we can.....what choice do we have? :shrug:

Yes, the timing of it really sucks. But we have to do as they say.

It is going to be a major pain in the behind. It will take all their time to keep things up and running. People will be doing as much talking about DU3 as about politics.

8. I'm scared to look. Also, for a while now, I've felt that

it's going to crash and burn. It will either be so unpopular a format or people will revolt against the new fee schedules. I'm getting that the result is such a massive drop in revenue that Skinner and crew decide to abandon it. Even Skinner has acknowledged the possibility that this could happen (well, that it won't work, not that it's going to cause the site to stop making money.)

So I'm not going to get too comfortable.
